I had the 704, and now have the 706 for the past 2 years. The 704 was a great center channel, but the 706 is the way to go if you can aquire it. But the 704 definitely got the job done. I'd recommend either.

Good question, I'm not too sure. I got mine dam near brand new at a pawn shop. Check Facebook Marketplace. They do sell the new model everywhere online though.

I agree, unfortunately there's no other option for my layout. My living room isn't very big. Regardless, it does still sounds excellent, and I smile every time I'm listening to music. The soundstage and detail is phenomenal.

@pimpin94553 I'm sure it sounds great. Try it for an hour. Pull the speakers way, way out, and toe them so you alone are getting the best image. Screw bass, you have 2 subs. Pull the subs out too, and get them like 3 feet off the ground (on a crate or something), dial the speakers and subs low pass so the subs blend in the new configuration. Tape your jaw, cause it's gonna drop. Just to try it.

Sorry for late reply. I really don't ever hear the hissing, unless I literally put my head up to the speaker. I just purchased the crown XLS series amp to try out, and I like my XLi series better. The XLS just sounded a little glassy sounding, not sure. You should try the XLi model, it's seems to be a little more smoother to my ears. Great value for the money no doubt. I can't imagine getting any extra benefits from an amp that's 2-3x the cost or even more.

@pimpin94553 that was the comment i heard from another guy, he bought both and prefered the sound of the xli AB amp over the xls . I ended up buying a hypex module class d amp from buckeye. Pretty respectable price, very clean and lots of power for a three channel amp. I should have snagged those rythmic f18 subs before the covid price hikes. Enjoy

This box is great actually, for $250 it's a solid choice to go with. It's built well, and true to its specs in frequency.

I almost like it more. This sub is one of the best subs I've owned, and one of the loudest. The clarity of the W7 is unmatched, but this subwoofer definitely provides the output.

Lol. These plugs are a breeze to do. It's easier if you take the throttle body off, gives you much more room to work. Also the blow out issue is very easy to fix, simply torque to 25 ft/lbs rather than the factory spec of 13 ft/lbs. These cars can easily go 600,000 miles plus if you take care of them.
