Flint is an ancient historian and archaeological scientist who has conducted field work and laboratory analyses around the Mediterranean region from Stone Age caves to Egyptian tombs to Roman cities. He is collaborating with ongoing research projects at the Athenian Agora in Athens, Azoria and Knossos on Crete, Gourimadi on Euboea, and Histria in Romania.

Flint currently teaches at Cardiff University. He received his PhD in Classical Archaeology from the University of Cincinnati, lectured at Dartmouth College, and held a research position at the American School of Classical Studies at Athens.
