Planning a civil ceremony at San Francisco City Hall but wondering whether you can bring along a few more guests than the official 6-guest limit? The official rules state ‘You are allowed up to 6 guests total. The guest count includes any photographers, videographers, children, witnesses, etc’ - basically everyone except the couple is included in the 6-guest limit.

Hi, can a witness be a tourist from other country/overseas? Like parents that are tourist and from another countrt?
Yes, John, a non-resident can be a witness. They will probably be asked some questions so the judge is satisfied they understand English and what they are witnessing. They must write in English on the form. Witnesses do not need to provide ID, but the couple's ID must either be in English or have a certified English translation if in another language.
If from another state does California acknowledge marriage license from that other state or does it have to be issued in California to marry in San Francisco city hall?
It can be issued from any county within California but only California

Thank you so much for this info! Question: my fiancé and I want to get married on a specific day in order to celebrate our anniversaries on that date. Should this date be the day we sign our marriage license or the day of the ceremony at city hall?
The picking up of the license is nothing special. It's like going to the DMV. And you can pick it up from any county in CA, any time within 90 days of the wedding ceremony. The day you get married is when your anniversary is! 💖

No permits are required to photograph weddings at SF City Hall <3
These are beautiful shots! Not many couples would be ok with a "toy" camera. I hope your clients were happy with the results! I just received my first Holga! Just waiting on film. So excited to start using it!
Thank you! They receive hundreds or even thousands of edited digital photos. This is a small, cheap add-on of 4-5 novelty toy camera photos that some opt for.
