Watched this today on week 10 to the day after my surgery. Seriously appreciate the encouragement and advice. Physically and mentally an extremely rough surgery to recover from. I'm a little bit behind you in terms of ROM and strength but hopefully its right around the corner for me. To anyone else at this point in their recovery, good luck and stay encouraged. It takes time but it will get better.

I’m still nervous but I’d rather get it fixed early than to deal with the pain later in life or further injure myself. I would love to see an update current day and after full recovery. Unless it torn completely off the bone do not. That’s a rare case, likely it’s frayed or severely frayed. Do any exercise that stabilize the glenohumeral joint. With proper nutrition it will stabilize and regrow over the bone.

@@Hungryangryhippos it’s going good. I just hit the 3 month mark since surgery. I just returned to work about 2 weeks ago, the first week it was aching from moving around a lot but now that’s gone away. My range of motion has gotten better however am still very limited. The most limited is external rotation, and it is pretty uncomfortable when stretching, however the doctor said it was normal because he tightened it down pretty tight. I had a checkup yesterday and he told me I was clear to start doing curls, tricep kickbacks and tricep extensions however still no overhead movement. All in all it is a little frustrating but hang in there and try to find a hobby you can do while down like video games or something.

Depends if it’s torn apart, completely detached from the humerus. Which usually isn’t the case and most likely it is either frayed or severely frayed. In which exercises that stabilize the glenohumeral joint will alloy the ball to go back into the socket. Proper nutrition will allow it to regrow over the bone and therefore heal.
