I lived there She’s right
Number are always lie.I don’t trust numbers when it from cooperation companies
Beautiful weather? I don't think so
People are rude and such aggressive drivers. I'm only here for a couple months and it's unappealing
phx is a little overrated. If not for the mild winter's, no one would want to live here.
The air quality is bad here, almost all year long.
Scottsdale has a lot of $75-100K a year ,wannabe Billionaires!! They would all be barely middle class, in Ca or NYC!! But, you seem like a nice person!! (:
You guys are talking about all the crime there in Phoenix, What’s up with your police department and deputies and other agencies, being that i thought Phoenix was supposed to have one of the best And isn’t that sheriff guy the one that made inmates dress in pink and eat peanut butter and jelly sandwiches is based out of the Phoenix area/ Maricopa county , if so what’s the deal,! Are they understaffed Tony J. from Indiana..🤔🧐🤨👮♂️🚔🚨

Enjoyed the video, you summed it up perfectly.
This year (2024) it was a "Non-soon" season. No one drop at our house at all.
I always take a big Yetti bottle of water with me in the car - even if only going to the corner store. You never know when your car might break down.
HOAs can decide that the panels you had installed 10 years ago are now unsightly or don’t match the new panels on your neighbor’s roof, and need to be removed.
Other states have shown this pattern: the amount that they will pay for the electricity you generate has gone down as more customers buy solar panels. This means that the break even point is taking longer.
All solar panels degrade over time. There are three tiers of solar panels. Tier 1 degrades 6.96% over 25 years. Tier 2 degrades 11.3% over the same period. Tier 3 degrades 17.53% over the same period.
You need to consider the total space that the panels will take, and whether the orientation of your roof is optimal.
Three caveats about installing solar panels: 1) Installing solar panels requires the installers to pierce the roof. This can void the warranty that your roofer had on your roof. 2) Your current house insurance covers your roof. Piercing the roof to anchor the solar panels can mean that your insurance company will refuse any later claim for damages to the roof. Some insurance companies also refuse to add solar panels to the homeowner’s policy. 3) Reshingling your roof means removing the existing solar panels. If your shingles are asphalt shingles, then they would be replaced every 15 years. This is shorter than the estimated lifespan of solar panels (25 to 30 years).
Please feel free to avoid moving to Phoenix/Arizona altogether. There’s already little groundwater communities running out of water. Sprawling communities, overpriced homes. Yep you’re right that’s a little bit selfish.
Some people sure are picky.
I didn't like Scottsdale because I couldn't afford the size of house that I needed for my family. I got twice the home in Anthem for the same price :)
Hows the taxs. Here in Omaha, Ne 500,000 is about 12,000 a year……
My house in South Scottsdale is valued on Zillow at 1.2m County assessor values it at 911k. Taxes for 2024 are $2900.00. Pretty reasonable compared to many places
I live in Los Angeles, in the valley and just past summer, we were in 3 digits for about 2-3 weeks and over 110 on something days. Am I ready for Arizona summer?
Lots of jealous people out there. Can't stand blue collar class warriors. When I hear a local bad-mouthing Scottsdale they are immediately binned in my opinion.
All great points. I haven’t seen any homeless people in Scottsdale for about a year. I do think the density is getting to be too much since the infrastructure can’t keep up.
Me too!
Oooh at 13:52 she flips on her designer glasses and all of a sudden we went from Scottsdale to Snottzdale :-) Just teasing
LOL!!! It's so sad, I now have readers everywhere!!!
@@shawn.shackelton😂
@@shawn.shackeltonNot sure if you wear contacts; but, I have a “reading” contact in my left eye and a “distance” contact in my right eye. Somehow, they work well together and I was able to ditch my readers.
Correct me, but are not most of the homes the same bland earth tones? Stip malls and apartments are the bane of cities.
I think it has to do with fading from the Sun. Any darker colors. And heat absorption?
Why did you skip the sentence in the first review about Scottsdale being unwelcoming to non-whites? This is obviously a minority with a chip on his shoulder who probably is anti-white. That sentence gave him away and his review should not be taken seriously.
I avoid Scottsdale im in cave creek and less crowded and nicer
They complain about the heat. Yes, it's the desert. No kidding. However, the other 8 months of the year are glorious...
I've lived big city east coast, west coast, Texas there are no stretches of eyesores here. It's neat and looking sharp. No billboards , rail system and downtroddens 😊milling about. I do miss the closures of the old town pubs Kelley's, thirsty lion and yards
45 year resident here. You've completely mislabeled South/Central/North Scottsdale. South is basically anything south of Camelback. Central Is Camelback to Shea. North is anything North of Shea. Think population density, not straight geography.
Maybe the person who complained about Scottsdale being a "cultural wasteland" had excluded the Heard and MIM, since they're in Phoenix? I have lived in the Valley, with the exception of only about five years, since the mid-1970s. I've never lived in Scottsdale, but I have worked in Scottsdale and lived near north Scottsdale (but in Phoenix). I also used to go clubbing in Scottsdale in the 1980's and 90's. My general impression is that the farther north you go from south Scottsdale, the ruder, more arrogant, and more entitled the people become (obviously not all, but too many). Old Town Scottsdale is a pleasant enough excursion in the same way that Jurassic Park would be: inathentic to the point of cheesiness, it is still at least an outing. The West's Most Western Town was never intended, it seems, to be authentically western... or authentically anything, for that matter. Nice, expensive, shopping, though, if you don't mind the traffic. The funny thing is, it never had to be that way. I live in an area of Phoenix where the homes average over $1M (not mine, of course, LOL). The people here train their kids to be polite, to say "thank you" and "please." Everyone seems to live here because they love the area and seem to genuinely feel blessed to live here. I never got that same vibe in the upper two-thirds of Scottsdale. But to each his/her own. I think that we gravitate toward where we feel comfortable, and some obviously feel comfortable there - so who am I to judge? If I were the judgemental type, I guess I'd probably move to north Scottdale!
We moved out of Scottsdale school district during Covid when they made children “take a knee” first day back from the “summer of love” terrorist activities when they ransacked the fashion square mall.
In 1985 the U.S. 60 was two lanes in each direction and a parking lot in 2024 the U.S. 60 is six lanes in each direction and a parking lot
I was in phoneix when it was 116. It doesn't feel as bad as when it was 98 in ohio. To put it into perspective. It's hot but it's not unbearable. And joint point is virtually nonexistent. The only problem is the difficulty of growing certain vegtables or plants. You just can't grow anything unless you are watering 3 times a day or more.
Blah blah blah! If there's a vibrant economy there's construction, more people, more traffic, more amenities, and MORE JOBS, etc. If the economy is stagnant, there's fewer of all of these. Make a choice and stop whining!
Scottsdale is fine IF you're a Pro American however, liberals aren't wanted there. They all need to go back to CaliFAGnia.
I am a teacher in Scottsdale. Yes, the schools are A rated, but that doesn't mean we get enough funding. This school year alone, I have spent at least $500 of my own money to help my students out. I have to drive a school bus sometimes to make sure they can go on their field trip because we don't have enough drivers. Please don't use our success as a school to misrepresent that we are funded enough. Most of my fellow teachers cannot afford to live in this city, and drive from other areas to here. While I understand not wanting more apartments and wanting things to look better in the city, I also hope people can understand that making it affordable enough for teachers means that the city benefits from having better quality educators. Scottsdale has some of the lowest teacher salaries in the state, and AZ has some of the lowest salaries in the country. Please do not forget about us educators when thinking about the city's future. We can't help your kids if we cannot afford to live here.
Mormons. Cannot stand them. Amish N4z!s.
As a longer resident - one thing that dismays me is the loss of the Southwestern Cowboy feel being taken over by California type architecture. Scottsdale's motto is the Wests most western town (or something similar to that)... Especially old town is getting infiltrated with more modern buildings. Makes me so sad. All of the newer subdivisions and North Scottsdale all used to be cattle and horse ranches. Those have all now been pushed out. Along with that, the culture has changed along with it. I do think North Scottsdale in particular is obsessed with snootiness and judgemental, hence the nickname Snobbsville or Snottsdale. It isn't wrong :) :) I did live in North Scottsdale before and loved it. Now live Central Phoenix - entirely different vibe and love it as well. You have to choose the cultural area carefully something that most realtors won't really tell you about.
We are lucky and, I think, unique in that we have places that have a different feel about them, allowing people to live where they feel good. So I 100% agree that ensuring you are in the right place for you before buying is very important!! The best way to find out some of those things is to go get something to eat in the area and talk to the people there. Realtors can't talk about some of it with buyers due to fair housing, but I suggest that all my buyers talk to neighbors and people they meet in local places and see what they say about the area. It's very telling!
When I moved to Scottsdale, that cities population was around 97,000 people. Now? Over 400,000 people now. So I've seen a great deal of change and I understad the REAL reasonsn people have ALWAYS hated Scottsdale. You're a California transplant and you seem to have a lot of opinions about my city but I don't believe your POV comes from a point of genuine understanding.
I've been in AZ longer than I was ever in CA. I clearly haven't been here as long as you, but feel more native to AZ than CA. You're entitled to your POV & it's ok if it's different.
Scottsdale has 244K people not 400K.
You should move back to California if that’s where you’re from. Unsubscribe
basically, arizona has been overrun with migrants and commies from california. It's been going downhill since I moved here in the 70's. Now it went from red to blue and now it's being run by the democrats. You can expect it to become an unlivable place and I will be leaving next year
Sorry to hear you're leaving, hope you find a place you love.
@shawn.shackelton unfortunately, Arizona will continue to decline.
Gee-native Arizonans have always just been happy that these clueless well-to-do outsiders can be contained there. Keep them happy, keep them contained in their golden birdcage and everyone will be happy.
Not sure I agree with that, but thanks for watching... I guess 🤷♀️
I like Old Town Scottsdale
It's a great place! Can be busy, but lots of great stuff there!
Old Town Scotsdale is an amazing place to visit and not all areas are just party hearty but place for people to dine and relax.
You're right there are some place like that in Old Town Scottsdale, unfortunately there has been quite a bit of news about the roudy-ness of old town...
I love visiting Scottsdale!! SO beautiful and so much to do. I've been to old town during the day and night and felt safe both times.
That's great!! Scottsdale is such a beautiful place, I love it here!
Great info Thxs😊
Glad it was helpful!
Talking stick casino is about a 25 minute drive as well…. Not bad.
Why don't you chat a bit about water rights and what communities are no longer receiving water from the county?
And with any luck the bubble will turn into a stinking, swirling sewer and take the whole place right down the drain! Phoenix WAS a cool place until all the people from California moved in and I left. You can have that horrible stink bomb of a city. I lived there my whole life and people like YOU are what ruined it for most of us natives. GO home.
