my cat finds "weird spots" to sleep on
Thanks a lot!
Would have been nice to see the "BEFORE" and "AFTER", good job.
TIP: cut the heads off two 4 inch X 1/2 inch bolts and slot them and install them on each side of the engine bell housing. These will serve as guide dowels when mating the engine. All you have to do is make sure the engine is level and put PTO in gear and have an assistant slowly turn the PTO shaft(ENGINE IN NEUTRAL OF COURSE) and this will help line up the input shaft splines in the clutch disk.
What mixture of paint to thinner to harder did you use?
those subaru motors are the best
Hey where did you buy your parts for this rebuild?
Love the paint on this one. I m8ght have went with a truck bed paint on the running boards and peddles
I'm glad to see you used high gloss paint on the body and covers. I think that is how they came from the factory.
I really admire the hard work you put into this. You did a great job bringing her back to life!
Thank you for rescuing a Third Gen. Love those cars.
Old tractors never die. They sleep, waiting for someone who cares enough to wake them up.
Really great build! I enjoyed watching it come together. The best part is you know the car inside and out and you did it all yourself with some help from what looks like family. Not many people can say that.
Seems like yesterday I had that car brand new, only it was white with the gold wheels, nice Highway car, bloated up and down like a Cadillac but it didn't lean, and the 350 from the Corvette leaked antifreeze, beautiful tuned port with a green puddle of antifreeze, and I remember it was an expensive car....
I wonder how much that was brand new in 1988. I do know Toyotas were only 5 to 8 grand brand new back then which was crazy. Now my 2023 Toyota Corolla was 23 grand brand new when I bought it last year.
@Xman6384 my first car was a $7,000 Mustang LX 5.0, I traded it in for the Trans Am, I remember it was a lot more money but I don't remember exactly how much, 18 thousand kind of sticks into my head, Mustang was so much faster to my surprise
Prefer the OEM Meshy wheels
Beautiful restoration. I was glad to assist as your wireman. Painless wiring was pretty much painless. Proud of you!
Great save. 3rd generation F-bodies are awesome cars 👍🏻
Looks good, but I'd prefer the factory wheels.
Yeah but it wasn’t going back to its original looks I still have those wheels in case if I wanna put those back on
Liked it until the roll cage came out.
I own 1 ford 8n tractor and that’s a copy of the dashboard YUP MINE WORKS AT LEAST I have a 1946 ford 8n tractor 🚜 ITS RUSTY 😅
I know you got some gears under that thing, 55 mph at 25 hundred rpm god damn son
Cop car behind or test run on highway
Good job…..
Thank you i was able to wet sand the clear and buff and polish it looks way better now. Check out one of my youtube shorts got a youtube short all buffed and polished.
Thanks for the video man. I’ve been trying to tighten my steering rack’s preload adjustment on my 05 corolla, and I’ve finally decided to just drop the subframe to be able to do it. This vid helps a lot👍
nice
Thanks it’s not perfect but I was able to buff and polish it it’s way better now
I just did one that was given to me. Same tractor. You did a lot nicer and more detailed job than I did. But I did mine to sell it. I used all Stainless steel nuts bolts and washers. Cost a small fortune.
Nice!
" ... and it's gonna suck " LOL
Gotta love F-bodies
Absolutely awesome 👏
FYI: There are three drain plugs on the bottom of your tractor, because your transmission, hydraulic system, and differential all flow together and thus use the same fluid.
That 4.3v6 is reliable and sounds good too
How many bolts are holding the crossmember?
I believe this exact tractor is currently for sale near me
Nice job getting her back up and running. Sounds like maybe the tappets need to be adjusted, but that's easy to do. Also there are clips you can get to run the rear lamp wiring, the clips go under the bolts on the shifter plate if you want to make it look a bit more original (same for under the hood and behind the dash). Part numbers are 9N 17667, 9N 17668 I believe for the rear lamp clips. There is a 365 page Ford Shop Manual for the 9N, 2N, 8N that can be found in some libraries or purchased online that are invaluable for showing you every nut, bolt, clip, and assembly, how to adjust, etc (like the suggested comments below on the nuts to use on the manifold, pitman adjustment, and other things). Great job and thanks for the video!
Do you know of a repair manual and parts source for the Broncco and Minarelli motor?
Awesome vid
However the guy's a total fucking moron if he thought he had to take the deck off
It's three bolts one for each blade
It’s just one bolt spend an extra 45 seconds and you can do it standing up
Nice!
You should use brass nuts to put the manifold on, so it can be taken off again
Love seeing you young guys take pride in historical restorations. there may be a couple of things I might do different but you're actually out there doing it, and I'm in my armchair, so more power to your elbow and I doff my hat to you :)
The pitman needs to be tighter on knife ball.
Pretty 😊😊😊
I've owned an 8N and a 9N. Both solid machines. Very nice re-build.
Beautiful!
Looks and sounds great but where did you get the parts to rebuild it?
Wow looks brand new
Looks good 👍 . Did the throw out bearing work out?
I installed a new one which I made a RUclips short of it. Check it out
That cross member was really ancient. Great work.
