Thanks for the video man. I’ve been trying to tighten my steering rack’s preload adjustment on my 05 corolla, and I’ve finally decided to just drop the subframe to be able to do it. This vid helps a lot👍
Well I hit a pothole last night blew the driver's axle from the inner side towards transmission wasn't worried about that when I looked at the control arm where the bolt goes was ripped right off glad I seen your video save my car from going to the junkyard
+1 watched another video where dude put a jack with block on the oil pan to prevent the engine from dropping, but then that means I'd have to man handle the subframe back up. But looks like this dude just dropped the subframe, unless he's got a cherry picker not in shot....?

That cross member was really ancient. Great work.

Thanks a lot!
thats a dumb question but you can remove the crossmember and the engine dont fall off?
I got same thing car has less than 100 thousand miles ,under coated but a little hole in driver's side can you buy those new?
How many bolts are holding the crossmember?
What can be done when the nuts inside the body that you use to thread the bolts attaching the sub chassis to the body are completely loose from weld?
Know if this is the same process for a 2005 Vibe (Matrix)?
Hello, I would like to ask how long does it take to replace the subframe?
How are the rear brake lines? Had to replace mine.
Very Informative. Its tough to get it done alone? The back cross member has no rust problem?
The back has rust but it’s solid but never put too much money on a beater car
@@Xman6384 maybe u can apply anti rust on it. Quick, affordable
Do you have to support the engine while dropping the sub frame?
Did you ever get an answer I have the same questin
