Upgrade Your Salad With This Creamy & Delicious Miso Tahini Dressing
Make extra dressing for later use, keep well in the fridge for 1 week or so in an airtight jar. It is great in soba noodles, in sandwich, on roast or steamed vegetables, and cold/cooked tofu.
Ingredients:
100g quinoa
50g walnuts
300g sweet potatoes
120g edamame beans in pods
1/2 red pepper
300g firm tofu
salad greens ( I used arugula/rocket)
Dressings:
20ml hot water
10g / 2 tsp brown/coconut sugar
1 tbsp miso paste
50g tahini
30ml / 2 tbsp sesame oil
45ml / 3 tbsp mirin
30ml / 2 tbsp rice vinegar
15ml / 1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp minced garlic
Garnish:
black sesame seeds

I do it boiled and salted with garlic. 😃
next time try cooking with minimal water to preserve its nutrients especially vitamin C which is water soluble, and adding a bit of oil after to help with the absorption of vitamins. 🙂

OMG I tried this years ago and I loved it. After I had my baby, I was severely nauseous and could barely keep anything down. My Asian friend came to visit me, and she had this steamed egg, along with some other semi-solid foods to eat.. I was able to enjoy it all the way through post partum period. I liked it so much! @@mangachanfan1556 yay lovely! glad you like it 😀. I haven't tried the sweet version but it's likely to work. Use milk instead of water. Warm up the milk. Add 1 tbsp sugar + 1 tsp vanilla extract. Prepare using the same method. I think for chocolate flavour, the easy way is to use chocolate milk instead of water. Let me know if it works! ☺

In Taiwan, we also eat hot pot of different flavors. Such as pumpkin flavor, pig bone flavor, stinky tofu flavor, Chinese medicine flavor, kimchi flavor, pickled bakchoy flavor, wine chicken flavor, shacha flavor, seafood flavor, milk and cheese flavor
So many flavour. I have tried the herbal and mala flavour, those are my favourites.

Wow, so much flavor in just one pot. I've never tried the mushroom before, but I know mushrooms have a great influence on flavors.
Dried shiitake mushrooms are a great addition to soup. They can be used in stir fries once soaked in hot water. They provide umami flavour, enhance the flavour of the dish. Give it a try. 😘
