Edgerrin James: A Football Life
"Edgerrin James: A Football Life" - an NFL Films-produced profile of the Pro Football Hall of Fame former Colts running back - premiered on NFL Network Friday, Nov. 18 at 9 p.m. ET.
Over the hour-long program, you'll hear from James and a star-studded cast of former teammates and some of the biggest names in football, including:
Jim Irsay: "He's the only player that's ever received a Super Bowl ring that wasn't on the roster, and that's because he meant so much to us."
Peyton Manning: "He wanted to be more than just a running back. He took pride in his pass protections, and who to block. I say this over and over again: he was the best teammate that I ever had, and at the end of the day I don...

Drew Pearson: A Football Life
Просмотров 87 тыс.2 года назад
Undrafted out of the University of Tulsa, Drew Pearson made the Dallas roster as a free agent in 1973 because he could contribute on the Cowboys’ special teams. By the time his career ended 11 seasons and 156 regular-season games later, he had left his mark as the franchise’s all-time leader in most receiving categories and established himself as one of the National Football League’s best clutc...
Also shows how stupid HOF selection is. Going on stats alone is only reason lame O Terrell Owens is even being considered when you should go on overall performance and what that players does for his team. Not stats.
Hall of Fame is a joke, same Academy awards. Its all money and politics.
I watched him on tv against ucla run for 300 yards it was one of the most dominant games ive ever seen
Man, Drew really was clutch. He and Roger were the perfect duo. I would love to have one of those Drew Pearson t-shirts from the video. I was lucky to meet him and Roger in Atlanta during a huge sports convention. I was on one end of the convention center when I heard the announcement that Drew and Roger were taking Polaroids with fans…. Clear at the other end of the center. I dropped what I was doing and ran (in a suit and tie) and was lucky enough to get there in time. That photo is a prized possession of mine.
the egde was the guyyyy
I have never heard a player say what Edge said after he left the Colts. Most players would be bitter but he figured out that the Colts could not keep everyone and he was the odd man out. However, his humility is amazing. What he said about helping Addai I can't ever recall a player that left a team say that. They were the best team in the NFL during 2005. I would have been upset if that was me and that is the sad history of the NFL salary cap. It breaks teams up and kills relationships between players and organizations. However, not with Edge and the Colts.
Good dude
Crying because he didn’t make it in to the hall of fame. Typical cowboy entitlement!
At least it didn't take until death like Ken Stable and Cliff Branch to get into the hall.
It's so sad about the car accident. That will forever stay with him and that he will take the blame for drinking that allowed the car accident that killed his brother. You can see hm relive the moments especially the painful ones all over again.
Cowboys fan and Texan here. There are so many outstanding players in Cowboys history. Drew Pearson is top five, hands down. Four decades to get in is unthinkable. There are a few more who should be in and are not. Hope they get their moment as he did.
so glad he's a hofer
You never did nada for the Mexicans in the I we always love you
Hall of Fame player delivering a Hall of Fame pick years after his career!
My Birthday is March 22nd Wow!
HE meant " SO MUCH " to the organization...however ~ HE didn't mean enough
HE meant " SO MUCH " to the organization...however ~
Thats why Bill Polian is a Hall of Fame GM
Security guard kicks Drew Person in the ribs at 20:00.
Need more guys like edge from da hood to play sports and in real life
Eazy Jeezy 🔥
Woow...The burden of having your brother's death on your shoulders must be an unbearable one...for a lifetime. So sad!
Easily one of the most underrated RBs ever! I was pissed when my colts drafted him over Ricky
What always bothered me about Drew not being inducted into the Hall quicker is knowing what caliber of player he was compared to more modern players that made it in ahead of him. There are fantastic players who were inducted into the HoF that were NOT the big game impact player that Drew was. Those players were definitely good players, but Drew was a game breaker who was as clutch as someone like Lynn Swann who played during Drew's era. In his era, Drew was as good as it gets.
Real deal FLAWDA BOI !!!!
Legend
Mannnnn.. tears of pride
23:51 Ditka sighting
20:00 WTF ???😳😳 Security guard needs a country ass stompin ??
" It's too hard being someone else " There's a man of integrity!!
My first football hero is Drew Pearson.
I mean, if Trick Daddy says so...... It's pretty much dictionary
One more year as a Colt and he would’ve had a championship ring on his resume.
.053 That's the first time i heard of somebody actually being under .08
The instrumental is crazzzzzyyyy. Perfect fit for this segment!
👍
Feel good story!
Naples here...shout out Immokalee!!!
Edgerrin James was my boy he carry that ball hard 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥
And I'm a DIE HARD Commanders/Redskins fan and I HATE THE COMWBOYS!!! But i don't hate individuals that are humble and deserving of a lifetime award of such prestige. He deserves it!!
This man was the truth !!!!!!!!!!May her soul be bless ,This is one of my favorite U player over .
Pearson was a clutch as "Captain Comeback" Roger Staubach. When the chips were down... You could count on Pearson stepping up, elevating his game, making the plays that had to be made. He dug the Cowboys out of many holes. I have not forgotten the Original number 88 and all the things he did for the Cowboys.. and the NFL. The gratitude of the NFL was long overdue.
Very underrated due to playing with Peyton in that pass first offense. He was a dog at The U in that three headed monster of a backfield. Never will be anorher backfield that deep again. Arkansas probably the second best backfield with DMC, Peyton Hillis, and Felix Jones. Then you always got the Alabama backfield almost every year full of 5-star ranked recruited backs. So let me take back that statement there could be another backfield as deep as the U was but theyre one in a million
I really wish I was around to watch this man play live #theoriginal88
The greatest workhorse running back of all time.Durable, dependable and gave 100% all the time I'm glad he's living the good life he earned it 10 times over.
Bravo! Long, Long Overdue, and congratulations to "Mr. Clutch."
Wonder what Golden Richard's said to him?
This man abused Dbacks during the '70s. He should have been in years ago.
Damn this probably why "PlayMaker" probably wore #88
OMG.. Dude played Qb 😮 Never knew! #AwsomeSauce
