    Thank you for this video, it helped me changing the turbo. It was my first in depth diy job. It is a hell of a job. But with tons of time i managed to start it up today and it runs fine.

      Haha I though something very similar after seeing how to change spark plugs on this car. Doesn’t say much for German engineering infortunatly.

      Sorry, no video for changing the wire. it is almost the same way as in this video less taking out the spark plug. Still pretty tight.

    Oh Mann, ich bereue es schon jetzt, die Karre gekauft zu haben. Was für ein Aufwand !! Bei BMW wechsele ich die Zündkerzen in 20 Minuten. Aber SEHR GUTE Anleitung, hilft mir sehr !!! Kompliment. / ..........Oh man, I already regret buying the car. What a hassle!! At BMW I change the spark plugs in 20 minutes. But VERY GOOD guide, helps me a lot !!! Compliment.

    I may be wrong, but engine have 4 spark plugs, but you only focusing on 2, does that mean, your method works only on 3 and 4 SP? Thank you for your answer

      I had access to all 4 spark plugs after removing the heat shields.

    Did you have to remove the exhaust manifold also?

      Nope.Only a couple of aluminum shields.

      @@ccfrone so some heat shields and the turbo and catalytic converter and should be good. I saw another video sharing that he had to take the exhaust manifold off for cylinder 1. They actually took the whole front end off the car including radiator and whole bumper.

    Dealership does this in 3 hours, without removing all that engine stuff. Always better to go to those who know what they are doing.

      Thats false mabey on the normal hatchback but on the turbo model its a whole different ball game buddy i just did this its a real pita

      @@rickdoggent3829 I have my car all apart and its a real doozie. I am wondering if you have to take the turbo off? I can't see how you take out cyl 1 and 2 spark plug. Actually they are all really tough.

    im having trouble removing the connectors under the seat. ive removed most but the one specifically for the seat warmers i cant pull out. are there any pins or presses i should be on before pulling it out? i cant seem to find anything to pull it out

      No pins, just a hook you need to press with your thumb usually and shimmy it out.

      I can't find the exact one from back then, but this will do just fine, you'll only have to make sure to figure out the wire connection so you can use the seat heater's original button: amzn.to/2WcA3E4

    Voce consegui retirar as velas com a turbina no lugar? Eu tive que remover a turbina para poder ter acesso e trocar as velas de ignição... Can you get the spark plugs with the turbine in place? I had to remove the turbine to get access and change the spark plugs

      Yes, I did not have to take out the turbine, but it's pretty hard to get to the spark plugs. You'll need long nose pliers and a flexible hand, after you remove the heat shields.

    Ive never seen such a backwards engineering disaster, What idiot designed this abortion of a vehicle? Tip-you can unbolt front two engine mounts at rad support and raise engine just enough to get at plugs/wires from below.
