    Despite the physical liberation achieved through the Haitian Revolution, the enduring legacy of the inferiority complex and sacrilegious psychological warfare persists. Since the Haitian Revolution, which marked a significant defeat for colonial powers, the battleground has shifted to the realm of psychological manipulation. The whitewashed narratives and mental subjugation imposed by the Western world continue to challenge the integrity of those emancipated. Thus, while the physical chains of colonialism have been broken, the struggle against the psychological and cultural ramifications of colonial oppression remains an ongoing and profound battle. Long live the Haitian Revolution of 1804, a milestone in humanity’s quest for liberation.

    The world’s anti-Haitian sentiment, given Haiti’s stance against the Western world, is both shocking and expected from the Haitian standpoint. This reaction stems from the fact that the world has been bought, bullied, and whitewashed by Western powers. Haiti freed them from slavery and, in some ways, from physical oppression, though not mental. Haiti’s treatment, when compared to its peers, can be viewed through the lens of two distinct categories: the same marginalized groups, representing the modern equivalent of plantation slaves, and others, akin to house or domestic slaves. The treatment of these groups, though varying in degrees, reflects a persistent colonial mindset that remains unchanged despite the passage of generations. The colonial mentality, marked by a deeply entrenched hierarchical view, continues to influence perceptions and policies. Haiti, undeniably shattered by the Western world, has faced particularly severe punishment. However, it is crucial to note that the other nations in its peer group, such as Jamaica, do not fare much better. They, too, are subjected to a reality where their potential to attain the living standards of even the smallest cities in the Western world remains out of reach. The economic disparity is stark; the GDPs of major Western cities dwarf those of these nations. Yes, their cities-not their whole Western countries-contribute to the divide between the so-called Third World and First World; it’s night and day. Thus, many of these poor nations remain somewhat like colonies to the West in certain ways. While Haiti’s plight is often viewed as uniquely dire, it serves as a stark reminder that the legacy of colonialism affects all, albeit in different forms. The continued struggle of these nations underlines a broader narrative of inequity and enduring systemic racism and oppression. Haiti’s punishment, some might argue, has been validated through its historical defiance; yet, the rest also endure their own forms of subjugation. Haiti’s revolution of 1804 remains a profound moment in human history, one that granted the world a gift it still holds dearly: freedom. Long live the Haitian Revolution-a beacon of humanity’s enduring quest for liberation.

    @RebelDynasty427 🙀Don’t tell lies on Jamaica/ns. Jamaica never flex on Haiti about poorest . Must be some other Island. The media always attach the ‘poorest’ stigma to Haiti. Jamaica is given the ‘poor’ stigma by both the media and at least One other Island. 😳Why don’t you have a go at the media and the other Islands. 🥵You obviously have some feelings against Jamaica you want to express… do so but don’t tell lies. 🌞Why you don’t talk about the help Haitians are given by the Government of Jamaica. LEAVE JAMAICA ALONE: the Dominicans said you people are Ungrateful and proud. That’s why they-your next door neighbour don’t help you.😎

  • @RebelDynasty427
    @RebelDynasty427 День назад

    If Jamaica and the other islands think they’re flexing on Haiti as the poorest, what’s up with them now? If y’all are so much better and living the high life, why are so many Jamaicans and others risking it all to flee through the U.S.-Mexico border in 2024? It’s a mad scene-80% more folks trying to get out, showing how tough things are back home. If your islands are doing so well, why are people still running from poverty and violence, just like Haitians? Seems like if you’re doing better, you wouldn’t be in the same desperate boat. So, if you’re all so rich and stable, maybe show it by staying put and making a difference, rather than running from the same struggles. Black Americans would tell you Jamaica and the rest that the devil’s a liar, and the Haitians would tell Jamaica and others, be nice or bad to the devil, the devil will always screw you regardless. So you might as well screw the devil since it’s in the devil’s nature to do bad. Whether you choose pacifism or hardcore rebellion, you’re still going to face the same struggles-probably less severe, but struggle is struggle, innit!

    Watching from NJ. Thanks for exploring this region of Plantation Heights from Mandela Highway to the hills. It is good to see the developments taking place in the hills. Also, it's a place I used to hang out during my earlier youth years in the 1970's straight up through the middle of the 1990's. So, wonderful I had gotten to enjoy the ambiance of the region before all these establishments you see now. The hills during those earlier years were laden with herbs and also hidden fruit trees, like sweet sops, mangoes etc. I hope the floral plantation of the unique plants remained untouched despite the new developments. My swimming workouts and meditation improvements belong to the spiritual gratification I got from the springs especially the larger one that sprang at the foot of the hill between Tom Cringle Dr journeying up to the housing developments. The waters at the foothill I considered a given mineral bath uniquely crystal clear with cleaner small fishes along with both sea/ocean and fresh water marine lives together so different from the opposing freshwater of Ferry River in the west. The river at the foothills was also called Plantation Heights River back in the earlier years and used interchangeably with the name Duhaney River. However, the name Duhaney River stands out predominantly perhaps because of the earlier housing developments of Duhaney Park and New Haven and besides the springs of the mineral river aligned also the direction from the foot of the hills of Plantation Heights through both Duhaney Park and New Heaven from where the major source of the river body flows link with Ferry River heading south toward Hunts Bay while dissecting the swamp lands (Once Caymanas Sugar Estate) and Riverton City Dump.
