    Men? Is there some reason why women shouldn't do this exercise? Is the kettleball too much extra resistance above just body weight resistance? I would obviously start with no weight and then add it later if my strength permitted. But maybe unweighted is the limit for women? I've never done a get-up (don't enjoy floor work in general), but I'm intrigued by this all-over body exercise.

      Thank you for your comment! There is NO reason why women should not do get ups. I am just speaking to Men because more Men follow my channel. Women can absolutely do get-ups, the weight of course would be lighter and if they are brand new to you, I suggest starting with no weight and just getting the movement down.       If you try to swing a DB like a KB you won’t get the same effect. And you miss out on the many benefits of the swing.

      @@thomaspapodacaYeah, I've owned, trained-with, & like KBs. The effect on anything that matters,(all the things you spoke about), IS enabled w/DBs. The only real difference is that progress at the skills involved w/KBs or DBs won't transfer 100% to other tool. Hundreds of thousands of the leanest, most muscular, enduring, athletic older men never touched a KB. No problem w/KBs, they're great, but not necessary to reach one's full potential at anything except for how well one swings a KB. .

      @@lazur1 I understand your point. The reason for the video is for men over 35 who want to get fit, strong and healthy from home, can do so with full body kettlebell training. I never said anything bad about DB training. All I said is that if your going to train with kettlebells to find a Kettlebell Certified Specific Instructor or Coach to teach you the correct way to do it. I said a Certified Personal Trainer not trained in KB training usually does not know how to train with or teach KB training because it is different than DB or Barbell training and must be learned correctly because of that. DB's are great! You can do a lot with DB training, which I have also done. On the other hand, you can also do the same with KB training just like DB training. PLUS you can do strong and effective swings with it as well! Which is an excellent strength builder and conditioner, which will challenge you in a whole different way! I simply wanted to educate men about the benefits of KB training to also reach one's full potential, and which you can do with just 1 or 2 kettlebells from anywhere in less time because KB training is full body training.       @@lazur1 Swinging is DB or trying to is not the same as swinging a KB because you cannot put in the same power as you can with a KB. With a KB you have a solid grip on the bell with the handle, there for each swing can be done explosively and with max power! Translating to an elevated heart rate, more burned calories, stronger legs, glutes and hips. So you get both cardio training and strength training in one powerful exercise - The Kettlebell Swing! This CANNOT be duplicated with DBL at the same level, simply because you cannot grip it as well and put in maximum power into every swing. Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching.

      Hi yes, I do goblet squats with a 35 lb and a 53 lb when I can, otherwise I just stick to bodyweight. Got introduced to Kettlebells through the Simple and Sinister program.

      Yeah ! 30 minutes is all I am able to get before my day starts so this is great. For general strength and strength-endurance, can I do this once a week or would another lower body day be better. For example, if I am doing upper body calisthenics on Mondays and Fridays, would a kettlebell squat focused day in the middle be sufficient ?

    Timing definitely is crucial. Not only for maximum results, but especially for injury prevention. When I started out some years ago, I thought I'd "just do it". But my timing was way off and I wondered why I got low back pain after swings. Your form looks great. Awesome video! I wish people would know how important this stuff is, if you want to pursue kettlebell training seriously.

      Thanks for the comment. Yes, I agree 100% that learning the timing and right technique is key to staying free from injury, especially with kettlebell swings. It is important and that is why I am trying to get it out there to as many people as possible who want to learn how to train with kettlebells 👍🏽. How is your back now? Are you still doing swings?

      @@thomaspapodaca I'm training twice a week with heavy clubs and twice a week with kettlebells. So, yes, I'm still doing swings regularly. My back is much better than it used to be, luckily. Consistency and the right technique make all the difference. 👍
