It's from his Quick Dash (two kicks together). Do the quick dash from a heavy punch (preferably Crouching [2]Heavy Punch) and input DP (623) K.

Spacing is key. If you're too close to your opponent when throwing the first j2s, you'll either miss the second one or hit the opponent, but they'll recover instantly. Also, forgot to mention that you'll need to alter these combos slightly on smaller characters (GT Goku, Kid Buu, Gotenks, etc.)

@@KhaliKaizen it's more universal I guess when it comes to language barriers but the issue I have with numbers is it assumes you're facing right. Forward and back are always forward and back regardless of which side you're on. Also certain game communities use the numbers for attack buttons. Mortal Kombat and Tekken, for example. Numbers make sense for attack buttons because the buttons are different depending on platform whereas directions are the same no matter what platform you're on.

Both options are dumb just look at what he's doing DUMMY

@@XeroLimitGaming MK and Tekken could always just use letter abbreviations as well. I was never a fan of them using numbers. MK for example could just use Light Punch/Kick or Hard Punch/Kick.

@Chukwu You can only do that off of normals and doing Drive Rush off a normal cost 3 drive meter.

It can take a minute. I'll try to explain it. Two are different forms of Drive Rush. The main one that's the easiest to do is after a normal. After almost any normal on block or on hit, you can just press forward, forward (66). The second can be done in either neutral or after certain specials. Forward, forward MP+MK (Drive Parry). Drive Rush after a Special oran Overdrive Special can only be done after your recovery of said special. There is an easier way to get it consistently, if not all the time. Press forward and forward Drive Parry immediately after. You'll flash blue, then you'll go immediately into Drive Rush. If you do it right, it'll come out frame one.

Also, take your time when preforming Drive Rush. Remember to go right back to neutral on the D-pad or stick before putting out another normal.

Dont listen to this newb, buffer the 1st forward then pres forward and mp+mk, this way you perform on frame 1

Lol, usually (other than 3rd Strike) Ryu is always strong at the start of the game. They nerf him in a few patches or at the beginning of the second wave of DLC characters. Hope he still is strong during that time.
