Grafting Apple Trees
A big thank you to Chris Homanics from the Home Orchard Society for this impromptu apple tree grafting lesson!
My video skills aren't the greatest but the information is so good, I thought I'd put it up here in case it could benefit someone. Thank you!

Bed Forming for Row Crops
Просмотров 3627 лет назад
We're forming our beds for planting row crops. The 2017 spring here has been so wet that we're just now getting on the field at the end of May. We put down plastic row cover with a drip tape underneath all in one pass.
Orca Bean Harvest 2016
Просмотров 7277 лет назад
This was our first time growing heritage Orca beans aka Calypso or Yin Yang beans. We had trouble getting the swathed rows to where we could pick them up with the combine but after raking them together we were able to get the crop harvested. Music: www.bensound.com

Red Fife Harvest 2016
Просмотров 6418 лет назад
This was our first year growing heritage Red Fife winter wheat. It was a lot taller than the conventional wheat we've grown in the past and produced quite of bit of straw. However, we've already done some baking with it and the flavor is amazing! Music: www.bensound.com
Pollination Row

This is a row of flowers we use in the garden as a pollination row. We will collect the seed from this row to plant another row next year.
Using a Potato Digger
Просмотров 2498 лет назад
This is a shop built potato digger that we purchased used. The only modification we made was to make the tines closer together to pull smaller potatoes to the surface. We had already hand picked the upper layer of potatoes and then went back through the rows with the digger.

Dad had a ‘60,’66,and a ‘90, always wanted a ‘72, when had farm sale in ‘87, his combines went for 15 dollars, you could have greased em up, and went out and harvested, that good of shape
Awesome! Thanks for this.
What was your yield? I planted in the spring and it was tough, tough year regarding rainfall. I got 19 bu per acre. You look like you got at least 40 or so....
I grew it for the first time in 2023 and it produced a fine product. Yes, lots of straw, too. I'll plan for that next time and bale up the straw. But, the wheat is exceptional.
Good detailed instructions. He seems like a cool guy. Is he a professor or some kind of local hero?
I've ridden on the combine and sacked many a bushel of wheat and soybeans! The cylinder doesn't sound like it is running at the correct speed. I remember them making lots more noise. Combine looks to be in great shape. Looks like it is missing the straw spreader.
Good video. Clear. Make some more, please.
No hard pan there lol 😆
Well kept machine
Weld a length of railroad rail across it… that’ll keep it in the ground and stiff in the frame up
This type of cultivator does a good job controlling the in-row weeds on the beans?
"Orca beans?". Ocra
I was surprised to see how deep it appeared to go. Thanks for sharing.
Nice David brown. I love my 885. Indiana
Can you adjust sickle height while moving?
If you put a hydraulic cylinder on it / mine was manually adjusted 🕊
The only one I saw had different holes to control the height depending on the crop.
That’s a thin crop. As thin as piss on a rock I’d say.
Barley does not fill up a hopper like oats.
My father had an AC All Crop. It had a gas engine on it. I have not seen any on RUclips. Has anyone on here ever seen a gas engine powered AC All Crop Combine?
Ive got an engine driven model 60
Hermoso tractor legendario... 🇨🇱🇨🇱 Que lugar es país ....??
It's a masterpiece of technology!
That’s a big pull for the tractor.
good idea for those pant legs i have a 27 clipper will use that idea thanks
I have never seen a ripper raise like that from the compaction. May need some weights on that ripper to get through that?
I'm sort of new to the Allis all crop. Is the auger style header something that came along later, or was it an option? Most that I see are what I consider older style belt "pick up" heads but with the addition of a cutter bar and real.
The later models had the auger style feed.
That may be the nicest all crop I've seen on RUclips, looking at a 66, are you happy with your allis? Al R. MN
what do you do once it is disced?
Nice video. Especially the drone work. I've heard of Red Fife all my life but this is the first time I have seen it grown.
Nice video. Lovely equipment combination.
we had 2 model 72 we used to farm 250 acres i pulled mine with a wd45 dad pulled his with a wide front D15 by far the best small combine in the world. we had skid plates welded on the bottom of the header this allowed the header to float or skid along the ground without bulldozing full of dirt allowing for it to shave the crop of beans and get nearly every pod.
Biscuits cooked on a wood stove. Fond memories come in a flood of delight. Thank you.
Love the flowers fantastic.

So cool 😎 Never seen baby turkeys
Cool 😎
Pretty cool Beerslayer
We had the same setup growing up. A 1410 with a Allis combine. We used to harvest oats with it. Love to see the old equipment still running.
what kind of grain quality is this type of combine yielding. Im thinking on purchasing an All Crop 72 to combine small grain malting barley
They are better at threshing than new machines are.
I'm looking for one of these for my own small scale grain harvesting.
I like it!
what tractor
i like the storage for the extra sickle bars. nice looking old girl
That lots of work!!
OMG they are HUGE, And you looked very confident, You are so going to be in demand on the farm now no more little wheelbarrows for you LOL, Your amazing, TFS hugs Rosemary xx
