    Anna - Was a challange completing this project. A very different method for me and I wasn't looking forward to it. But it was great to see how quickly the blanket grew. Now it is completed the Lapland Mosaic Crochet Blanket is going to be a great lap blanket for me in the winter to come. Might make it a wall hanging for Christmas, though. Thank you for all the work you have done, Anna.

      Hello, and thank you for your kind words about our Lapland Blanket. Although the blanket is split into four parts, there are only two videos. This first video shows you how to do the Overlay Mosaic Technique, which is used throughout the first three parts of the blanket. The second video 'Wrapping up' shows you how to make the border once the first three parts have been completed. Apologies if you have been looking for two more videos - and we hope that your blanket is coming along well! 🙂

    I am so excited to start making this Lapland blanket. I received the Inside Crochet magazine for my birthday and found your pattern inside then followed your suggestion to go to Yorkshire Spinners on here . This will become my favourite site for inspiration with wool. My Grandfather came from Yorkshire, Bradford, when he was a young man just before the First World War. He met my Grandmother and they lived in Winnipeg, Manitoba until 1937, when they moved to Victoria British Columbia for his health. I was born there in 1950, a year before my Grandfather passed away. I have been crocheting for years and am still learning many new styles.

    if I'm ribbing rather than doing garter stitch at the neckline - then when I get to the ones that are held on the needle do I knit them off in rib? You did it in plain stitch because you were doing a garter stitch edge?

    • @HelenBirch-sy2qc
      @HelenBirch-sy2qc 11 месяцев назад

      Hi Joan. You will knit the sts on holder unless the pattern says Patt across or rib across. If your sweater is in stocking stitch just knit the sts on the holder. If your sweater is in rib st all over sometimes the designer will want you to rib the sts. I'm guessing in your case it will be ok just to knit them

    • @lornairwin4517
      @lornairwin4517 7 месяцев назад

      For me it never looks right as I’m doing it, but I have learned to ignore and carry on. The ‘holes’ seem to vanish, but if there is a gap, it is easy to run a darning thread through when the garment is made up to disguise it. Remember you will be using a matching colour. The contrast shown in the video only highlights it! Hope this helps.
