Total heaven 🙏
I learned about cold water swimming at a triathlon in Lake Superior years ago. It was 16C, and the swim was only 300 meters. So dude shamed me out of using a wetsuit. So, i didn't use it. When i got on my bike i found that i felt totally amazing. I was high. That was 2019, and I've been hooked since. I train for IM in a lake during the summer months, by starting at 0500. I watch the sunrise from water level. People just don't know what they are missing
Hey Brother.....I'm an international solo ultra distance open water swimmer. This video you have put out is absolutely wonderful. Love it. Spread the Love and the Passion ! Many Thanks
Watching the video gives you a feeling of freedom and relaxation. this kind of videos offer the means to chase the sublime. Thank you very much
Yes mate. Preach!
Really wonderful. Thank you for this lovely film.
Hard as nails, both of you. What a brilliant achievement. Great film footage too - Henry Paisey is a genius.
Epic challenge ! Out the other end of suffering is greatness....
What an absolutely brilliant film
Absolutely smashed it. Thanks for sharing.
wow, came here from the Drag Queen feature and really amazed. I couldn't last more than a few seconds in that water! What an amazing journey, well done lads. Very inspirational, and all for a great cause.
😬 𝓅𝓇o𝓂o𝓈𝓂
Outstanding achievement and very well made film (totes emosh at the end) 🥲🥳💪
I never read before the feelings of other swimmers. This is interesting because it feels that your words are my words. It feels that your feelings in water are my own. It feels that we are connected with the experience.
I loved this film and the philosophy running through it. Being literally immersed in nature, feeling your body move is amazingly healing for the soul.
Thank you from Guam! Videos emphasizing the benefits that physical activity can have on mental health are much needed these days. I had to stop running for a month and transitioned to swimming. It's tough not being able to run, but swimming is just as relaxing.
I'm doing once a week even in winter time here in the Far East. Helps me alleviate my anxiety disorder. Thanks for sharing your story.
Amazing video Thankyou for sharing i have subscribed, I have just started posting my wild dips and am feeling the benifits I only started in October and have been swimming through the winter
what about sharks?
At the age of 70, not sure I am able to take this up. But what a boost to see you. All my life, no matter where I go, I must get into the waters even if it's only my feet. I'm enlivened by watching you. As I watched you, I realized that we are more than human. There is something universal and primal about this.
Beautifull journey, thanks for sharing this adventure
Life is Best when you swim and run👍👍👍👍
Educating the World 🌍
Fantastic thank you so much.
Superb this. Thanks lads.👍
Honest and very grounding. Getting connected to nature is our healing, it changes us not only at a cellular level but as a species. Connection to self, to other, to nature xxxx
An amazing clip, loved it and want more please :)
more films like this coming later in the year
Swim all year in Ireland best natural high you will ever get reduces anxiety and gives you a better outlook on life ✌️
Amazing Paul
I swim at Bedfont, the first one on the video, it's so beautiful there. It's so exhilarating to swim in open water, nothing like it.
Will see you down there sometime Sandra. Michael
@@declassifiednetwork Just got back from a few loops there, it really is a beautiful place. See you there hopefully!
Brilliant, more people need this message.I started to wild swim in the sea last Nov I told myself I'd do it a few times a week. But the healing I have gained has been amazing 👏. Now I'm on day 24 of swimming each day. I'm a member of Folkestone Swimming and we are soon to set up a more local swimming group in Sandgate where I live. I'm inspired to go to different places to swim and let others know the benefits of wild swimming.
thanks vanessa and keep up the great work
Hi there! I have just started my sea swim (well dip anyway!) journey and I am in Folkestone. Would you perhaps be able to point me in the direction of the swim groups? I'd love to find some like minded people, my husband isn't keen - although he has generously been coming in with me a few times, or to sit on the beach and spot me.
I did my second bath in Lake Geneva today! It is at 8 degrees! Amazing stuff!😃 will wait for it to warm up a bit before swimming and putting my head in the water though..🥶
Enjoy and thanks for watching
I am joining swimming classes from today.
do it 👍🏻
Yes! It makes me feel alive! A whole meditation. Winter, summer....Very addictive. The river takes all the physical and mental pain away. 🙏🇨🇦❤️🌈🏄♀️
perfect
This is fantastic. I’ve done my 3rd sea swim today in a week and I just want to go back every day. I’m not a strong swimmer and I don’t go far but my god, it’s so invigorating!!!
Yes!It makes me feel alive! But its very addictive. The mind wants to recreate this all the time. Winter, summer....It’s just feels so good! It was my first full year. So meditative. 🇨🇦❤️🌈🌎🏄♀️
How did you guys start? I just have the beach & it's been cold. . What helped the most?
@@iheartjbgccb , i have to drive to the river. It has rapids at the end so the river does not freeze up in certain places. I live in a city, nobody does WIM HOFF method but me and a friend. Its a secret. Look for those spots without ice and go there. A beach is even better since there is sand. There is no beach where I live but a river that surrounds the city. The water is freezing cold but that is the whole point. Just need A few dips under water and I Am done. The feeling of aliveness is amazing. I went yesterday. Summer is coming so it is feeling better when I come outside, My haïr no longer freezes. Become fearless my friend! But I recommend going with a friend and check with Dr. If you do Wim Hoff. It can be dangerous especially if you put your head in freezing cold water like I do....can cause heart attack. You must love yourself when you do this, not hurt yourself. For me it is about empowering the clarity of awareness. Being still, and the river does this for me.....helps me to be present just enjoy what is. The nature, the sounds of the river, the birds singing especially in the morning before everybody awakens, a beautiful meditation 😇🏄♀️🇨🇦❤️🌈🌎
@@SuketaPatel awesome I am the only person I know that practices the wim hoff breathing technique but hate the cold so much! You've inspired me to go and seek this experience for myself in a safe way :)
@@iheartjbgccb Its my first complete winter. But I started from last summer and worked my way though fall and could not believe that on Christmas Day I was taking a dip. My friend and I gradually did it....not at once. By chance if someone saw us they thought we were crazy in -8 degrees with ice in the river floating around. You gotta love water. The feeling afterwards is euphoric, like taking a joint but healthier. So much silence and peace. I can meditate for hours and get a good night sleep too. Takes away my chronic back pain due to a tumor extraction on my spine and the river...nature takes away all anxiety. I always want to jump in any river....In the summer I love to swim in rivers for longer periods. In winter I just dip in for a bit and put my head in just once or twice. The only downside is the addiction. This feeling of aliveness is addictive. Just take it slow and enjoy. If it makes you feel bad or sick after, don’t do it, just make sure you have a friend and ask Dr. If it’s ok. Like surfers who look for waves....you will look for wild river swimming, One day, you will feel as if the river and you are one. Just a beautiful experience. Take care my friend with this experiment...and if you ever do it, with precautions off course....let me know how it goes! Blessings 🏄♀️
Thank you for sharing your video. Swimming became my therapy after injury in a cycle incident. We really are at one when being in the water.
👍
Right on! Swimming is like meditation. I feel that way too. I also say that swimming is my yoga. Swim to live. Live to swim!
brilliant ST
Great video ! But remember to get enough sleep ! Nothing can make up for the damage caused by lack of sleep.
Love it! Great story telling 🙌
Lovely little film, thanks. I'm a competitive (ish) masters swimmer, both pool and open water, and here in Hong Kong while the pools have been closed a group of 5-6 similar ability swimmers have been open water swimming 3-4 times a week, often pushing and racing each other, but also just enjoying the different conditions and doing different types of swims. One day it will be pancake flat, another day very choppy and challenging, but always a wonderful way to start the day.
good stuff Mark. Must keep you on your toes
I loved this, so spot on. Stay safe and enjoy!
Thanks for watching
This was great! Next week I'm heading LA for 2 months where the pools are still closed so I'll be swimming in the ocean. Water is 13-14 celsius this time of the year so even with a wetsuit it's quite refreshing - and amazingly invigorating! I'm excited for it :)
I's sure you are. Enjoy and thanks for watching
Beautiful film - nice one gents, keep inspiring 🙌
This video is absolutely brilliant.
Amazing footage, but music sometimes louder than the voice.
I think that adds to it......
I loved this. Keep up the great work! Greetings from Australia
Beautiful, thank you for sharing. I have been outdoor swimming for nearly 2 years and couldn't imagine my life without it now. I live in Scotland and fortunate to have the options of some many lochs and rivers locally. The most incredible way to experience wildlife - very soon the ospreys will be back and I will watch them fishing in the water as I swim. I agree about not worrying what kit you have either. People get obsessed about having a DryRobe and wetsuit etc, that is definitely something you can work up to. Personally I'm a skins kinda lass.
You get a totally different perspective from the water. Seeing Ospreys hunt must be amazing
Great video! What was the water temps in the ocean swims?
Pretty warm, maybe 16 degrees. Was lovely
Time to do it! Thank u for this great short film
Loved this
Thank you for such a well presented and produced video. It's a powerful message, and one reflected in one of my favourite books - "Waterlog" by Roger Deakin, which chronicles his wild swimming all over the UK. Here in Sydney, my family enjoys occasional wild swimming along with the land-based version - barefoot trail walking. We really must make better use of the gorgeous, almost endless supply of swimmable wild waters we have here. Much gratitude and you now have a sub in Aussie-land! Cheers - Dave
A little postscript... I watched your video today at lunch and have been in a bit of a funk lately - very unlike me. Your message was a shot in the arm and I removed my shoes and did a beautiful trail walk near my house and am all the better for it. If you keep producing content like this there is no doubt in my mind you'll grow the channel enormously. :-)
@@deldridg thanks Dave, we have several videos in development at the moment. Glad it made a small impact on you and thanks for watching
