The argument between Skeeter and Hilly was so funny, satisfying and well scripted. I hope Emma Stone and Bryce Dallas Howard get involved in more movies together in the future. Though I can't resist the fact that both of them play their own versions of Gwen Stacy.

It is amazing how much of Southern culture and sense of community depends on suppression and intimidation of each other. Keeping everyone in line. If they continued, vandalism, robbery and attacks ensued. As we can see in this movie, women would wield the "Odd Girl Out" tactic. Just as lethal as a beat down.
