Good smooth driving.. what wheels and tyres are you running also any mods ??
Nice lap with good traffic management 👌 The Meganes are beasts on the Ring! 💪
Cheers mate, just got a couple of hold ups in bad places which cost some time. Enjoyed the lap apart from that 🎉
Hi, great driving!! I have just bought a Corolla TS and I would like to enjoy it on track... What mods does it need to be reliable on track? I am thinking to change the gears of the oil pump with Toda or MWR ones and put an 1zz oil pan on... Do you think it's enough to be reliable on track or does it need something else??
Is good mate but if you pass the 1.1g lateral pressure with semislicks need aftermarket baffled oil pan (like moroso) the 1zz oil pan is risky too for hard driving. Also the Oil pump gear is not necessary expect if you pass the 8.600rpm (breaks when mishift) Something very important is the oil in the 2zzge put good quality and strong oil like 0w40 mobil1 fs, 5w30 amsoil signature series, redline etc...I know manual says 5w30 but for me the m1 fs 0w40 is the best from everything I've tried. In the end the gearbox fluid is must! try to use redline mt90 gl4.
@@DimoS... Thanks for the advice. I have already put Bardahl XTC C60 5w40 in the engine, and Motul Gear 300 in the gearbox! My car has 200.000kms, is it worth to replace oil pump? Is it a long job?
@@tulliopinter7412 good oil and fluid choices! I have see many 2zzge with over 300.000 kms on 100%stock engine mate without issues or repairs, for me oil pump gear needs only if the car revs over 8.500rpm if you have the money and the time go for it! Its more safety, Toda is very quality choice 👌 to install it, the side cap of the chain must be removed by the way, if you do, measure your valve clearances as well
@@DimoS... At that point, will be worth to change also the timing chain?
@tulliopinter7412 if it has loosened and gone from the marks on the gears, yes, but I don't think so. change the chain tensioner as a precaution, it's cheap. I also think you know about lift bolts, right? End the valve cover gaskets and the little o-ring on oil spray bar is necessary to change
@AussieRinger what tires are you running my guy ? I'm gonna be at the ring in about a month and want to pick better tires , something to be able to daily but also to gain some performance on track. Currently running stock 195/55/R16 please give me a recomendation to size but also to maybe a tire if you know some

Waaooo good driving.. And I little fun fact: the Skoda Superb you are overtking at 1.57 is me 🤩🤩
Awesome pedalling dude! Can't wait for next year 🤙🏼
What mods do you have planning on taking my corolla ts up to nurburgring
Strut bracing, coilovers, decent brakes, AD08R tyres, k+n intake and a Det3 piggyback ECU - this year the Vitz TRD Turbo M will be going.
@@MilesNotKilometres damn great I’m also thinking about a moroso oil pan and lsd what do you think ?
@@MilesNotKilometres btw why do you need / use the piggyback ecu ?
@Chris Chris moroso sump definitely and the lsd from an mr-s is golden. Crazy thing for me is my current Vitz is quicker and better on track despite having 40bhp less.
@Chris Chris I only used it so I got the most from the 99ron fuel but if I was ever to do it again I would bother. 1 note however, is remove the ESC fuse behind the glove box otherwise the car will try killing you on track. Most Toyota's suffer with this, but it's an easy fix in the Corolla.
very nice driving; did you upgrade your car?
Just strut bracing, coilovers, decent brakes, AD08R tyres, k+n intake and a Det3 piggyback ECU.
@@MilesNotKilometres thanks
@@MilesNotKilometresBonjour avez vous vous-même régler le det3 piggyback s'il vous plait? J hésite à en prendre un pour ma corolla ts.
@@ludohoareau4910 it was a long time ago and on an old laptop, but I had maps for different fuel types. Unless you're comfortable mapping or you know someone that can I'd avoid it.
@@MilesNotKilometres merci pour votre réponse. je ne sais pas du tout mapper un ecu malheureusement. je cherche une solution pour pouvoir installer le meme ecu que vous avec une bonne map 😅😁
Wow. What a car. Great driving!
Hi, you're very good with your CTS, but i'm interested in your tires, what did you mount?
This was my Corolla and at the time we had AD08RS fitted 🤘🏼
The 2zz sounds so good
Cracking driving man, seriously.

i don't think it was the same one, no way they could have loaded up the car so fast unless they drove directly from track to truck. still really funny tho
No oil starvation problems?
Hopefully he's upgraded the oil pump.
guys this engine only splodes when you try to downshift into lift and you bang 9000 instead of 8000 rpms
@@Nub00005 The engine can take 9000 rpm, that's not the issue though. The issue is oil starvation in high G-force corners. The oil pump isn't powerful enough, and combined with the fact the stock sump isn't baffled, it's a recipe for disaster on track.
@@nvl2691 you know your engines 👍🏻
@@nvl2691I have just bought a Corolla TS and I would like to enjoy it in track. What does it need to be reliable on track? I am thinking to change the gears of the oil pump with Toda or MWR ones, and put an 1zz oil pan on in order to avoid oil starvation. Is everything stock in the engine? No intake nothing?
Just an air filter, everything else is stock
Great video
nice drive really nice drive
Very good driver! You Know very well the Corolla TS !!!!
WHAT A MACHIIIIIIINE!
Is this stock ?
Just an air filter, rest of the engine is stock
@@jpsaxo did you gain any power with the intake?
@@danilomaksic168 no, air filters never give more power, more or less they only give less power, on average 1-2 horsepower less which is minor but still a power loss, it's because the engine will go too lean, most people get the intakes for the intake sounds, no more no less, how on earth would it make more power to have your engine running too lean anyways??
@@coomercommander2554 slightly lean is mean faster , fat rich is slow
No extra points for the intake, had a DET3 piggyback to smooth things out. Main areas that were improved were, suspension, weight reduction and brakes.
The driver is definitely a Gran Turismo 5 player :D
Lol, never played it in my life
That car sounds amazing
Thanks ☺️
Impressive driving mate👍 Corolla did well too.
"A bit" late to the game, but... How much do the anti spinn/stability control intervene? One of the few things that annoy me with my SLK is that i cant fully disconnect them, and buying another car with the same "problem" doesn`t feel right.
Pretty sure this car only has ABS & traction control. Electronic stability control is fucking dangerous. Don’t care what anyone says.
@@redlineracing4947 it has ESP - VSC
@@194Easy yes I am now aware of this. Cornering super hard I hear the beeping. It’s not aggressive like on modern cars so I’m pleased with it. Thankyou
Late reaction, but i own one, and yes you can disable TRC. There is an button for it, it wont intervene in corners or with any sort of wheelspin.
she's fast :D nice rolla
Awesome driving man, considering getting on of these. I'm coming from a 1.6 ep2 civic and want something with power but can't afford an ep3 type r.
Toyota celica gts is best car than Honda.Vvtli kicks harder than v-tec and is only 18.l.This engine is a Yamaha answer to Honda v-tec.Lotus also use this engine2zz.🇯🇵💪

Update since 2 years ago, I've had a Celica with the 2zz and recently just bought an ep3. Personally prefer the Honda because the variable valve range is more usable and the gear rations in the Celica aren't good enough to keep you in lift between shifts sometimes.
Any reliability issues with your t sport? or any other problems?
@Gibbon u wot
@Gibbon - Clearly never owned a Tsport
I'm a Toyota celica t-sport 7gen owner and I know 2zz very good(no problems). This car is 1.8l 192hp and with some upgrades(cold air intake and exhaust can touch 210hp+).2zz is a Toyota-Yamaha engine and vvtl-I kicks harder than a v-tec!If you know how to drive(keep rpms 6.200+)then you can go faster than a Honda type r(2l-205hp).I live in Greece and the ricers here love Japan🇯🇵cars!
@@jamesn5022 he asked do you really think a toyota engine can break down lmao, you could put a nuclear warhead under the hood, blow it up and toyota engines still outlast anything in the market by eons
@@coomercommander2554 I had a 4age engine in my mr2; 325 000kms not a drop of oil !!!

Hi James, not sure about an 8... maybe an 8:10 on a clear lap without a passenger...
Hi, which Corolla T-Sport do you have?
Birger Magnus Hebsgaard it is a 2004 facelifted 2zz-ge with a set of tein coilovers, ebc brakes and predator pads. K+N intake and DET3 ECU.
Intereting, it sounds a lot like a VTEC hehe. I've just recently bought a 2002 stock Corolla T-Sport. Gonna have a set of HR coilovers put on it. Do you use stock tire/wheel size?
205-50r16 worked perfectly with AD08s. Yes, it's like VTEC but more unsuspecting from a Corolla.
Is your Rolla stock?
Zamo Rainy the engine is stock, only put a K&N on for noise, coilovers, brakes and bracing.
Same for me, except coilovers and bracers: I'm running KYB Ultra-SR+Eibach Spring and stock strut braces (more comfrotable on city use)...my brakes come from an Avensis (295mm slotted rotors and uprated calipers - 279mm slotted rotors on rear and stock calipers..) but I'm planning to go 4-Pots Brembo...
Zamo Rainy - also did an 8:55btg but the go pro ran out of battery in the last corner!
LOL :'D
Zamo Rainy are you on the Corolla club on fb wouldn't mind seeing these 4 pots. Could do with better stopping powahhs lol
You drive very well...clean section and no stupid risks...
Fahrkönnen gibt's halt auch bei Porsche nicht zu kaufen
How much for the rear suspension setup? And for the engine?
Lorenzo Clara about £5k for the suspension set up, and £15k for the engine.
