Hi, Sorry for late reply, the glue I used at the time was decoupage glue but I use pva glue aswell, to seal the coaster at the very end, I used Liquitex. Many thanks 😁
What glue do you use to seal it twice at the end please? Ax
Lovely decoupage. cant stand the music.
Hi, yes thank you, need to find better music. 😁
Hi, how long do leave the cling film on it?
Hi, I smooth the bubbles out and then once happy remove the cling film carefully straight away. Hope this helps. 😁
About how much resin do you use for each mold?
Hi, I tend to use about 20 ml or so for the clear bottom and then use the colour to fill over the crayons. Probably about 20ml or so again. Hope this helps. 😁

Hi do you wait for it to dry before you put the first layer of mod podge on or do you do it while it’s still wet from the water? Thanks
Hi, I apply a thin layer of glue when the coaster is still wet. I do use a very soft bristle brush for this and very light brush strokes. Hope this helps.😊
Where do u get your slate from? Do they come with rubber circles? I can’t wait to try!! Thanks for the inspiration?
Hi, I buy my slate coasters from B&m, also The Works have heart shaped slate coasters which look lovely too. They all come with the feet on them too. Hope this helps. 😁

Hi, yes i use the same method on wood coasters, check the regular varnish first that it is heat resistant. Hope this helps.

Thanks for sharing this video! I made some coasters with decoupage technique. I sealed the surface with Mod Podge for 4-5 times. After one week, I used Dupli-Color Varnish and let the tiles to cure for a week. Then when I put a very hot mug on the tile, it didn't stick but there was a deep circle. Could you please tell me what the problem was?
Hi, oh no, is the dupli colour varnish heat resistant? I do apply very thin layers of glue and varnish. I have started using the modge podge dishwasher safe to apply the napkins and I always use Liquitex gloss varnish. Hope this helps. Happy crafting. 😁
Asi, I would say too many coats of mod podge, 2 coats of dupli-color is better and let it cure longer, some say even 4 weeks, I don't know.
Liquitex varnish is not heat resistant. Your best best is either high heat automotive spray or epixy resin. Not every epoxy resin is heat resistant and will leave rings even after completely cured. You need to find that can withstand hight heat.
Rustoleum is heat resistant
Where did you buy that design paper?
Hi, I bought the napkin from eBay. Hope this helps. 😊
Love the napkins. Great technique!!! Very easy to follow. Thanks for sharing!!!
Thank you 😁
Thank you ❤ I have been using mod podge before the napkin goes on as well. I think that was wrong. Great video. Thank you.
Thank you, hope this helps, I dont think there's a right or wrong way, it's just what technique works best for you and for the best results, I'm always still learning. 😁
Why wet the napkin?
Hi, I wet the napkin as you can brush out the creases and is quite easy to work with as it gives a smoother finish. Hope this helps.😁
