Do NOT use promoted listings on Ebay, i recently used it for the 1st time, at supposedly 5% i sole a PS5 VR system for £340 and actually got £270 after eBay robbed me 🤬.. This was WITHOUT seller fees ! DO NOT USE IT

1/4th of my store isn't promoting, because I've stopped promoting. I get the same amount of views and sales for both. So, I'm going to continue phasing out promoting. It's useless because everyone is promoting. Makes no sense.

I was under the impression that your item only shows up in one place: if you don't promote, your item shows up in your exact category, ie. Nike, Puma, etc., but if you promote, your sponsored item may show up in ANY brand, regardless of what the shopper is searching for, but NOT in the category they ARE searching for. Ebay will NOT put your item in both. You don't get 2 different spots at one time. That's the deal breaker for me. I want my item in the exact search the buyer is looking for.

Tom man what are you doing linking ebay work and drugs? Look up adenosine and caffeine. You're blocking receptors with am coffee. Makes very good sense. I started with the dynamic rate, and noticed it getting ridiculous, like 17.6% for certain clothing categories. My conversion rate also started dropping. Plenty of impressions, but that's not what we are ultimately after. I have found 10% works just fine keeping my conversion rate over 2%. I am experimenting with 5% for certain items. Time will tell.

Quit eBay because of the crazy fees that’s stupid how much money they take away and than tax return don’t know how to do it it’s difficult for me that don’t know how tax work

I restart my eBay store 3 times.. usually take 4 months to get consistent sales

My sales stink. I just need to get better at listing quickly. Poshmark was my number 1, and now it's gotten so slow because of the lives. They actually put in the title to go over to the to the lives to get stuff $3 starts. Mercari died for me since they put the fees on the buyer. Going hard on ebay. Going to make it work. Economy stinks. I can't do lives new laws in Ohio makes not worth it! I love reselling not giving up. I have been selling 20 yrs. Even when I have regular job.

Sadly, most platforms are going to promoted listings. And everyone is doing it so it doesn’t really give you an advantage but if you don’t do it, your listing won’t even be seen

I will agree with you it's always good to learn new things but if you can find a thing that no one knows of and you put the work in you could start potentially making a couple hundred thousand dollars as long as you have some feeback and are 100 percent new mr.x

People who say "I can't ever find stuff anymore" need to replace it with "what am I walking past that are good sellers". Just about everything I pick up someone else passed on. Rarely am I first. I am just the "first" to spot the value. Learn categories, stretch your knowledge.
