Concise. Everything said is what the Church does. Only that time constraint wouldn't let Fr elaborate more. I ask like Fr asked" which church does these? Thank you Fr anyi.
Well done dear Padre for this clarification. Abel Damina is only seeking attention and popularity hence the attack on the Catholic Church.
A very sound teaching...i didnt expect less from a Catholic Priest. Ps: To avoid distraction, kindly leave your phone on flight mode or better on silent. Thanks ❤
God bless you more with everything good ❤🎉
My faith is my pride! Catholicism is spiritually satisfying
Also Father, kindly help me understand what is meant by "THE PAPAL SEAT IS INFALLIBLE"
Fr Oluoma, you didn't explain to us from the Bible, the doctrine and use of images like crucifix, statues of Jesus and Mary etc Please relate it to the scriptural reference below. Deuteronomy 4:15-19 15 Take ye therefore good heed unto yourselves; for ye saw no manner of similitude on the day that the LORD spake unto you in Horeb out of the midst of the fire: 16 Lest ye corrupt yourselves, and make you a graven image, the similitude of any figure, the likeness of male or female, 17 The likeness of any beast that is on the earth, the likeness of any winged fowl that flieth in the air, 18 The likeness of any thing that creepeth on the ground, the likeness of any fish that is in the waters beneath the earth: 19 And lest thou lift up thine eyes unto heaven, and when thou seest the sun, and the moon, and the stars, even all the host of heaven, shouldest be driven to worship them, and serve them, which the LORD thy God hath divided unto all nations under the whole heaven"
Until you understand the symbology in Christianity which has its roots in so many culture preceding the Christian era ,you'll continue to get confused and obfuscated. Maybe your problem is Symbology and not just the Crucifix/images. If so, the questions you should be asking, should have gone a little back to the serpent's image that Moses, who grew up in the court of Pharaoh ( see Acts 7 : 22) and copied the Egyptian culture and mysteries in toto (Moses copied the book of creation from Egypt's Orphic mysteries which is a mythological representation of some ancient truth ), of whom God later directed to make and raise for the Jews to be healed. A gesture so wonderful that hundreds of years later Christ had to say "JUST AS MOSES RAISED THE BRONZE SERPENT FOR THE SALVATION OF THE JEW,SO SHALL HE BE RAISED FOR THE SALVATION OF MAN". The bronze serpent employed by Moses seemed against one of the tenets of the commandment if viewed straight like a zombie, but Christ would later employ the significance of that image as a metaphor for man's salvation through him. The question is " why an image ? (Num. 21:8-9). One had to look at the bronze statue of the serpent to be healed, which shows that statues could be used ritually, not merely as religious decorations. Catholics use statues, paintings, and other artistic devices to recall the person or thing depicted. Just as it helps to remember one’s mother by looking at her photograph, so it helps to recall the example of the saints by looking at pictures of them. Catholics also use statues as teaching tools. In the early Church they were especially useful for the instruction of the illiterate. Many Protestants have pictures of Jesus and other Bible pictures in Sunday school for teaching children. Catholics also use statues to commemorate certain people and events, much as Protestant churches have three-dimensional nativity scenes at Christmas. God forbids the worship of images as gods, but he doesn’t ban the making of images. Early in its history, Israel was forbidden to make any depictions of God because he had not revealed himself in a visible form. Given the pagan culture surrounding them, the Israelites might have been tempted to worship God in the form of an animal or some natural object (e.g., a bull or the sun). But later God did reveal himself under visible forms, such as in Daniel 7:9: “As I looked, thrones were placed and one that was Ancient of Days took his seat; his raiment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like pure wool; his throne was fiery flames, its wheels were burning fire.” Protestants make depictions of the Father under this form when they do illustrations of Old Testament prophecies. The Holy Spirit revealed himself under at least two visible forms-that of a dove, at the baptism of Jesus (Matt. 3:16; Mark 1:10; Luke 3:22; John 1:32), and as tongues of fire, on the day of Pentecost (Acts 2:1-4). Protestants use these images when drawing or painting these biblical episodes and when they wear Holy Spirit lapel pins or place dove emblems on their cars. But more important, in the incarnation of Christ his Son, God showed mankind an icon of himself. Paul said, “He is the image (Greek: ikon) of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.” Christ is the tangible, divine “icon” of the unseen, infinite God. We read that when the magi were “going into the house they saw the child with Mary his mother, and they fell down and worshipped him. Then, opening their treasures, they offered him gifts, gold, frankincense, and myrrh” (Matt. 2:11). Though God did not reveal a form for himself on Mount Horeb, he did reveal one in the house in Bethlehem. Common sense tells us that, since God has revealed himself in various images, most especially in the incarnate Jesus Christ, it’s not wrong for us to use images of these forms to deepen our knowledge and love of God. That’s why God revealed himself in these visible forms, and that’s why statues and pictures are made of them. Do you know one can be juxtaposing religious objects (Crucifix) with idols, with out knowing that the much value he/ she places on paper money alone for an example, has already made that money his or her idol. For example your family and close friends probably know you better than you think. If your spouse, children or friends look like they want to head for the hills when you bring up the subject of money (again), it may be an idol. Luke 6:45 says “the mouth speaks what the heart is full of” (NIV). A certain amount of money talk is healthy and necessary, but the subject shouldn’t come up every day. Don’t let an obsession with money damage or ruin a relationship. What do you think about when you first wake up? What’s on your mind just before you fall asleep? If your first and last thoughts of the day are centered on money-earning more, saving more, spending more or paying off more-it may be an idol. The Bible tells us we control our own thoughts, and we are to take every thought captive to make it obedient to Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5). So idol are not limited to statues A splendid day ahead of you !
Thank you so much father for this enlightenment. I pray for more of God's blessings and anniotings on you to be able to fight these heretical pastors and restore the faith of the people in the Catholic church.
This is pure deception and misinterpretation of scripture
AMEN
Thank you so much Padre
Thanks Fr, for the catechesis you have given. Pls Fr I will like you to explain in details the sacrament of confessions. In your last rebuttal on Damina stand against confession, you quoted John 20:20-21 but Damina came out recently to debunk your stand by saying that John 20:20-21 was not talking about confessing to priest but is all about the Apostles going out to preach, that whoever believes their message will have their sin forgiven but whoever does not believe their preaching will not have his or her sin forgiven. Pls padre I will like you to throw more light on it in relation to what he just said.
May God pour out fresh anointing on you Padre. I was just have goosebumps as you were explaining the order of the Holy Mass. "You received freely and freely you are giving that through this social media ministry, the word of God will be better understood; and perhaps, more lost souls be converted. However, I know that Judas's nature cannot be transformed, so betrayers will always be expected to persist on their path to destruction. However, to those who open their heart to the Holy Spirit, they shall receive grace to become sons and daughters of our Heavenly Father....🙏
I was raised as a roman Catholic they don't really study the bible as it should be, it was when I encountered Abel Damina I now know what is called bible study. Whereas in Catholic they only read three verses which is 1 first..2 second and the gospel read. Is that how one will understand the scriptures and be able teach another person to be born again.
My grandmother was a strong catholic and they don’t read the Bible.
Probably you don't listen when scriptures are read. You may be among those that come late, sleep and go home.
@@ruthmonday2458your grandmother told you this or your assumption?
God will continue to bless and strengthen you Padre.
Also, the Introit (entrance antiphon), entrance hymns, offertory hymns, communion antiphons and final hymns are scriptural with the verses written next to each of them. The Holy Mass is the celebration on The Word of God. Which other church venerates The Word of God in its gatherings as The Catholic Church does? The Catholic Church does not just read the Bible; She lives the scriptures and shows it "alive and active" Heb. 4:12.
1 Corinthians 11:23-31, John 6, Acts2:42 From Acts2vs42, 4 things are important in a Christians life. 1. Teachings of the Apostles/ readings of the Bible 2. Fellowship/church 3. Breaking of bread/ Eucharist 4. Prayers Acts2:46 Each day they met together in the temple ( Catholics have daily masses for those that are serious), they broke bread daily also and shared daily. They praised God daily too. Thus, they were favoured and performed wonders &signs
Thank you Padre for being intentional in teaching the faith. It's much better than reacting to wrong teachings. I look forward to other episodes that you well come up with. God bless you.
One truth i must say is that though i doubted speaking in tongue as a Catholic, I received the gift of tongues during the Pentecost retreat at the Catholic church in Gwarinpa when this priest came to minister in the very early hours of the pentecost day. On the pentecost midnight crusade ground. I can't really tell the exact time but between maybe between 2am to 4am on Pentecost day. Meanwhile, i went there to findout from God if the gift of tongues was real. And if it is real , show me here. Otherwise, i no send. I was stubborn. And I didn't know how I found myself from the back to the centre of the field that day while speaking in tongues for the first time.
Can you pls stop this deceit. You read from Catholic bible with apocalyptic books like Book of wisdom, Tobith etc, Reading and Studying are not the same, you pick your readings from Misa and transfer to a bulletin and people buy without being encouraged to get a proper Bible and have a study plan. If you say you study the Bible, how come many of your Doctrines contradict the Bible? name: 1. Where in the Bible did you see the Purgatory, you believe in ? 2. Where in the Bible will you see chaplet or people praying with it? 3. Where in the Bible is infant baptism practiced? 4. Did God not warn people from making, bowing down or worshipping graven Images? 5. The crosses you hang, Is Christ still hanging on the cross? who made the crosses? 6. Where in the Bible do you see where people pray or the dead or praying for the dead to help you plead to God 7. The Dead don't pray for the Living, there is no repentance in the grave and after this live, you are misleading people and leading them to hell as they believe that when they die, they can go to purgatory where their sins will be forgiven them before they enter Heaven. THIS IS A LIE FROM THE PIT OF HELL. I can go on and on cos I was once a Catholic, who almost became a Fada. So I know what I'm saying
So what really happened between lazarus and the rich man 2)then why do you refer to God as the God of abraham issac elijah and so on, are they not dead but elisha did so after receiving the mantle from elijah secondly what about the transfiguration of christ what was he doin with the (DEAD) prophets 3) where does it state in the bible that 1 must get to a certain age before you can now be baptised 4) where in the bible was it mentioned to pray with the bible and explain to me what is a bible? 5)Talking of graven image that altar at your church you face while praying even some people go to an extent to bow while praying isn't that hypocritical of you all? also speaking of the CRUCIFIX not CROSS isn't it more symbolical to have it as a reminder of my the holy sacrifice of christ than having a useless sticker of 1 pastor's inage on it written may lightning strike all my enemies in the name of Jesus pasted on my door in the name of faith because the so called papa or g.o has blessed it and sold to me as a sacred vessel isn't this hypocritical? They end up turning your attention from christ to themselves Speaking of the dead don't pray for the living after the transfiguration took place what was Peter's statement to christ ? And as a Christian you believe if someone dies in christ i remember vividly christ himself said the person will have everlasting life do you know that calling the saints dead people indirectly is contradictory ?
And you saying you wanted to become a priest, my dear your level of scriptural understanding i can tell you for free that you lied on this aspect because you can't go through the Catholic Church seminary school (ATTENTIVELY) without having to know the bible. I MYSELF SPEAKING TO YOU I'M JUST A LAY FAITHFUL
@@IkechukwuOsondu-z6y I will be careful to answer your questions according to the numbering; 1. Between Lazarus and the Rich Man, Luke 16:20-31, try read the Scripture, The Rich man died and went to hell, while Lazarus died and went to Heaven in Abraham's bosom. Only two destinations, hell and Heaven, the dead is not allowed to communicate with the living. the rest you can see on the above passages 2. God is the God of all. Abraham served and worshipped him, so also was Elijah and all who served God. Note, no one prays to Abraham or Elijah for any form of mediation, Only Christ is our advocate and mediator 1 John 2:1 3. About Baptism: Mark 16:15-16 before Jesus went into Heaven he said, Go ye into the World and preach the Gospel to every creature, He that and is baptized shall be saved. First thing someone must teach or preach the Gospel to you, then the condition to be Baptized is that you must Believe in Jesus through the teaching/preaching before you are baptized. An infant is not taught, and doesn't believe yet, looking at the Baptism of Jesus himself, he walked to John and demanded to be baptized, did his Earthly parents carry him to be sprinkled with water? Nope 4. The Bible is the written word of God, When Jesus was tempted by Satan, Jesus replied, "it is written". In Ephesians 6: 13-17, the Bible says take unto you the whole Armour of God that you may be able to withstand the evil day, verse 17 says and take the helmet of Salvation(which means you must be saved) and the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God. 5. I don't know what you call an alter, I hope you are referring the podium or Pulpit, that is a platform or stage you climb on to minister, It has no image of anything, My own alter is my heart. We believe as Christian that Christ was crucified, he died on the cross and was buried, he rose up from the dead after 3 days and has ascended into Heaven and he is glorified. This is a mystery you must know that Jesus came to earth and took the form(body) of man that doesn't mean he is a man, he had to put on flesh in order to relate with man, when he ascended into Glory, that manly body has been put off and he is now in his glorified body, example, the closest disciple to Jesus was John (the beloved) after John had escaped death and met Jesus on the island of Patmos in Revelation 1:1-18 When Jesus spoke to him and introduced himself to John, John turned to see who was speaking, (He described how Jesus looks like) John did not recognize his master that he was so close to. That image you have on the cross is not the Jesus that's Glorified. I sincerely hope you have been able to learn from this discussion and I encourage you to get a Bible and develop a Bible study plan, study the word of God, feel free to ask questions, I can give you my email, ask your questions and I will be glad to respond to it. God bless you. Shalon
I could sleep hearing all this. You guys are just embedded in practices, reciting thess'e things everyday. There's no life in reciting things everyday.
That is why we have the Eucharistic meditation or rosary meditation where you can spend time meditating on the bible passages. Even then, you can still sleep.
@paulnwokemodo7601 humn where is Roasry in the old testament?
@paulnwokemodo7601 theres no difference between Catholicism and other pegan religions. Use of beeds(in prayer) rosary for catholic Necromancy (talking or praying to the death) praying to saints for catholics Engraving images Geneflecting Infront of engraven images The list goes on and on. They haven't realized they are being duped.
@@amz_news 1. Rosary starts with "in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit" Matthew 28:19 2. We pray, " I believe in God" Isaiah 44:6; Act14:15 3. We pray "Our Father" matt 6:9 4. Hail Mary. Lk1:28; 41-42 5.Glory be to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. 6. We then meditate on the BIBLE STORY OR VERSES relating to: A. Annunciation by Angel Gabriel from God. Lk1:28 B. Visitation between Mary and Elizabeth. Lk1:40 C.Birth of of Jesus Christ. Lk2:7-14 D. Presentation of Jesus Christ in the Temple Lk2:22--40 E. @@amz_news Now that you see the Rosary in the bible, are you going to pray the Rosary?
Pls i want to get your view on the name of the father, Nane of the son, name God the Holy Spirit...what is the name? What his yoir point of view of the trinity...do we have three Gods ...
What other name are you looking for? You just mentioned them: God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy spirit. The three persons in one God. They co exist, work together.
@afamefunaokechukwu9439 so we have three Gods? Yes or no. If yes which one do we worship or pray to? Or Father, Son n Holy Spirit are just titles that point to the name Jesus?
This is impactful Padre, God bless you with more wisdom to guide us
Please we(you) need you to respond to Able Damins second response to your first response to him bcoz he quotes some content which i know that you might know better than him as a catholic priest, i don't know why he Able Damina think our way of worship is not biblical pls we(you) need to prove him wrong. Thank you and we are waiting for your response to him.
You don't need to prove an arrogant person wrong. It will only be a waste of engagement. I like the person of Abel damina but he always claim to knows it all attitude some times piss me off. He talks as if he have all the knowledge but that 100% wrong.
Please keep this up please … I know you don’t even need this message to be encouraged to continue as a priest…I only pity shallow minded Catholics that are deceived by what they see and hear over the internet… for me …let the heavens fall … I’m still a catholic because I’ve done my objective investigation and I know my findings…..
Fr. Thank you for Explaining the Principles of the Holy Mass which I personally see as a Kingdom Petition to the King other than just a religious Activity. Your Works are Truely an inspiration.. I have 2 Questions. 1. Most Catholic Priests that I know don't teach the people anything Concerning Money, yet they are experts in hypnotizing the people to Give money especially in Africa where Poverty has a Foothold. Is it a Crime for Catholic Priests to teach the Principles of Wealth Creation during Homily as thought by Christ in Luke 16? 2. I'm a Youth in the Catholic Church and it Pains me that when I go to Church, 70% are Elderly people. The Homily is Usually a monologue and usually doesn't Engage the Congregation. So is there a Way to introduce Question and Answer sessions during Homily.? I'm just a Concerned Catholic youth Who willing to see an increase Engagement of the. AFRICAN Youths in the Catholic Church. Thank you very much..
On your first point, I’d like to let you know that some of these Priests are human and sometimes bring their own personal piety and biases into how they do things. So some Priest might find it convenient asking members to make too many contributions while some others don’t and would rather look for other means to raise these funds. And on teaching principles of wealth creation, there are other programmes and Societies in the Church where that can be achieved, it doesn’t have to be at Mass. On your second point, the Homily is not a seminar or a motivational talk session where there’s a speaker and there’s a question and answer session afterwards. There’s a reason it’s called a reflection, you are meant to reflect and ponder on what you just read or head. If you have any questions on any issue that doesn’t seem clear or conflicting, you are free to seek the Priest after Mass and get your confusing or questions sorted.
After Jesus in Mathews 28v19 told his Disciples He also told them to start in Jerusalem, The First place was in Act 2vs 38 and Peter said Repent and be Baptize in the Name of Jesus Christ. Peter did not repeat Mathews 28 vs 19, There is no place in the Scripture Mathews 28 vs 19 was repeated, Please explain better to me with scriptures. thanks
You said everything Catholic does is in the Scripture, Please give us the verse where Trinity was mentioned. Tell us in the scripture where Mary was mentioned as the Mother of God. The scripture said in Colossian 3vs 17 ,Whatever we do in word in deed do all in the name of Lord Jesus. But you said you start in the name of the Father Son and Holy Ghost. You said Trinity three person in one, But the scripture said God is not a person, John 4vs24 said God is a spirit. Please mentioned the scripture that said God is Three Person In One.
Common sense is not common to reason ekwa!
It seems as though your years in school was simply a waste. I forgot that understand is far from someone like you.
Matthew 28:19
Thank you very much Fr.
Father thank you, I noticed this is your Direct RUclips so you can reply me with all due respect. You said You begin the Mass In the name of the Fathe Son and Holy ghost and you made mentioned of Mathews 28vs 19. My N01 question is What is the name of the Father Son and Holy Ghost? because Mathews 28vs 19 said Go do it and that verse was talking about Baptism. And Please give me a verse of the Scripture the Disciples baptize in the name of the Father Son and Holy Ghost. N02 You said God the Father God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. Please give me a verse of the scripture it was mentioned with that three names.
Are you here to learn or prove a point??? If you need to know the Gospel and the big, go read Greek and figure it out for yourself. It's either you are catholic or you are not, there is only one Holy church in the world which is catholic and she accepts insults from her children and at the same time still shows them love and pray for them.
Some human being can just be so narrow minded head. If you really listen with an open mind for learning to understand you won't be too quick to ask this your mumu questions. The answers you seek are well explained in this 8minutes short clip.
Most of what is done is ritualistic. The worship of God cannot be done as a vain ritualistic repetition and outward demonstration.
I hope you don't say the Lord's prayer, "Our Father..."? It seems you were late in coming to this life to tell Christ that He shouldn't have taught His followers that prayer because it is ritualistic. Again, once you read or heard any passage of the bible, do not dare read or listen them over time because that is ritualistic Even you can stop sleeping in bed, try on top of trees, or roofs to make your sleep lively and dynamic. You can moreso try being fowl because you being human for so long. That's my suggestion since after listening the explanation that different how scriptural passages (and sermons) are read each day which covers the entire scripture more than any church in the world, you still love to deceive yourself with that ritualistic comment. That's why I wanna help to remind about life and other acts of life that is more ritualistic than what you wanna deceive yourself with.
More strength Fr.
Thank you, my Reverend
You are not correct in the issue of forgiveness of sins. And it’s unfair that a learned Man of God like you is neglecting the scriptures twisting it to suit ur traditional worship and belief. The Bible teaches forgiveness as what Christ has done on the cross even before any pope was born, keep growing in the knowledge of Christ Father, keep learning and remove pride so u can learn very well if not u will learn the hard way for challenging the truth of Jesus Christ.
Can you just learn?
Are you really understanding at all.. you need the spirit of understanding

Are you implying that because Jesus died on the cross 2000 years ago and forgiven us, our sins, you don't need to ask for forgiveness when you sin in 2025. Is it your today's sin that he forgave 2000 years. I will tell you. His death on the cross makes it possible to be in friendship with God and be in salvation, if we keep his word, and repent of and sins daily. Repentance is stopping what God does not like and asking to be forgiven. This as the priest noted is done at the mass, so that we can present ourselves to God; holy and acceptable to him. Please note again that repentance can be daily, forgiveness too can daily when asked
But Christ told his apostles "who's sin you forgive, its forgiven. John 20:20-25. That was after Jesus has resurrected. So which sin again is Jesus refering to since he just resurrected and has taken away all our sins.
Go and ask your daddy GO. If Ephesians 6:18 Will ask us to pray for one another at all times. Nwanne, if you rent, buy, built anything why do you call prayer warriors to then pray for what you have achieved? Again what did Mathew 16:18-19 says?

You are correct Father, there are many things in the bible because these practices you mention is in the bible doesn't validate , the gospel of Christ Jesus, think about this, Christ Jesus thought things concerning himself alone, the apostles thought things concerning Christ Jesus alone, so it can be in the bible but not the doctrine of Christ. Also, there is a Christ mode of explanation in the bible. You need to study this as well . Please stay with Christ Jesus alone and His mode of Christ Jesus' explanation when studying and explaining the scriptures. Many thanks, blessings Luke 24:27, 44, 1 corinthians 3:11, Acts 8:5
So Prayer to Mary is in the Bible? Worship of images of people like Mary is in the Bible? The Raiments worn by the Priests under the New Covenant is in the Bible?
Yes, prayer to Mary is in the bible and asking her to pray for us sinners is also biblical. We don't worship her, we honour her for the role she played in salvation and for being the mother of Jesus( God)
But the suit, abi na coat your pastor wears is not in the bible also. In fact, the vestments the priest wears can be found in the bible and is also related to what was worn in the bible days.
The question is what is worship? Do Yoruba worship when they decide oriki for their kings ? To be deep in history is to cease to be protestant. Do your research
Thanks very much Father

Please don't call them charlatans. They are still our brothers and sisters. We love them, and I believe that they love us too.

I don't even know, which bible is Able Damina reading. i think they should ask him.
Leave Dr Damina out of this. Are you not enjoying this debate? It's good to know all of this, so that you will know how to defend your fate when you are asked. If you are not seeing it from the position of knowledge and ability to learn, but you see it from someone attacking your faith, then you are missing it. This is good, to be candid.
Thank you for this lesson Fr. This is so useful and needed, especially here too in America.

HAPPY NEW YEAR 🎉 We start the new year with explaining history of the Catholic Church and her teachings, doctrines and sacraments to someone who has provoked her with heresy and blasphemy. Nevertheless, many Catholics need to listen and understand from Catholic priests who have responded to this provocation so that they may be strengthened in their faith and who are ridiculed daily from non Catholics who come from other Christian denominations. I know that most explanations would not bring about any conversion to Abel Damina, but it will be on record that he was shown the truth about the Catholic Church. We pray for his change of thinking and repentance. Amen 🙏
