Fix It I Will Episode 1....Nakamichi RX-202 Belt Kit Install
This is the ONLY good video on YT that shows all the belt installs - thanks! 👍
My pleasure yes I never saw a good one so I just had to do it to make it easy for people! Your welcome
Williams Charles Brown Helen Martin Michelle
Smith Lisa Allen Jose Anderson Maria
I do basically what you do except I don’t break my collection down into genres - those lines are so blurry, anyway! So I store it all by Artist/chronological, A-Z. The few VA albums are under V. And that’s it. Cool video!
right on Ya, I did it that way for years myself. I have been looking for some albums for a while so I redid the whole collection. I did find them though lol! Happy Spinning thanks for watching!
Johnson Richard Martin Mark Clark Jose
Thomas Sharon Martinez Robert Hernandez Timothy
I let my 4 yr old organise mine.😉
Very cool picks , kinda jealous. That Peter tosh goes back a ways, been yrs, gotta listen again. Good vid , best of luck with your channel and your health. 👍.
I want to thank you so much for watching the channel! Ya do love that Tosh solid album....I appreciate you man I am doing much much better Thanks and happy Spinning ✌️
I use CLZ to catalogue inventory.
How do you like it? Is it a good interface? Do you have to pay to use it? Thanks for watching too!! ✌️
Wow used to pay $ 4.89 for a new album virgin vinyl Japanese Imports which were great ten to fifteen bucks back in mid seventies CD'S no comparison when they first came out expensive what a scam have many over and over again remastered which they sound better but costs a lot of bucks 😂
Good video, thanks for the tips
you bet I appreciate you watching!
I hate that big boxes, I need pay way more due the weight on customs! why not just release the jacket inside! like a normal record! and also down the price!
hi the price of them is mind blowing high if you are a audio file they will sell i wish they came out with 7 inch reel to reel pre recorded tapes like there used to be
Well it's funny you say that. Analog Productions does make and sell 1/4" 15ips tapes that start at about 400 bucks and go up over 1000 👀... be careful what you wish for 😂 thanks for tuning in I truly appreciate ya!
After watching your video I was inspired to check my own RX202. I dropped in a tape, but before I realized it, it started spewing tape from the top of the cassette. It seems the take up spool was not working. BUT, the tape is now stuck and will not eject, so I cant remove it. Is there any way to remove the tape manually so I can replace the belts and idler wheel. Are you able to help, or do I need to contact Yoda! Thanks for an informative video!
I find this very rarely are these 125-150 dollar records are that much better to be worth the money Audiophiles go crazy over these expensive albums that are packed in boxes that look like encyclopedias on your shelf
It is different from my AP 45 or my OG way more in the mid-range and Jim's voice is more pronounced with this cut I feel. Its all subjective we all hear a little differently, and we all have different gear and setups too. As I say this is the first one that I have even wanted to buy so I figured I would try one and see. I really like it and am glad I made the purchase. Can't say as to how many more of these I will buy in the future? Thanks for the great comment Dave I appreciate you tuning in man!
The thing i hate most about this vinyl game is this. "You better get this before the prices go sky high" It's become a game of fomo and the people pressing these artificially scarce records are promoting it. Someone who wants to hear this pressing shouldn't have to be in fear of having to pay outrageous prices for it a year from now.
You're exactly right man! there are way too many re-sellers out there buying everything up to jack the prices! I mean people got ta eat BUT like you say. it should not put the rest of us in the FOMO mentality to buy things before we are ready or not get them at all. I have been collecting records for decades and I do miss how records were about having the music you want not trying to retire off of them lol!
Numbers is a good one! 💪🏾
is it the same box size as the other UHQR'S?
Hey Mike thanks for watching man!.... pretty much the same width and height is about 1/8th inch taller and it's just a little thinner and does not have the rounded front of course but all in all I like it.
@@hifijedi69 thank you and will continue to watch :)
Nice video sir. Just saw your post in the KCVC on FB. Nice to see another VC’er on RUclips✌🏻
Hey, Thanks man! I appreciate your watching the channel and sharing my love and passion for Vinyl and Music!
What does OG stand for?
An Origional or first pressing😊
My second favorite Doors after the first self-titled. The RSD Sessions lp from a couple of years ago has some great outtakes from this album. Have an OG, the 45, and just got this in the mail. Don't expect much improvement if any over the 45 but had to get this while still available.
That's awesome ya I had that box set but someone borrowed it and let his kids tear it up lol
Thanks so much for watching!!!
I do not care much for you selections but anyway good for you listen to your albums everyday . The first lp I played to my grandma was Alice Cooper - Welcome to my nightmare lp - song was - only women bleed i was about 14 years old , she said i dont like that song . 🤣🤣😂😂👍👍 .
That sound about right My Grandma did not like most of the stuff I listened to she would not even let me bring my own records over to her house😂 we had to listen to what she had....Yep we all like what we like and there's plenty out there for everyone. Like you say it's th3 music appreciation that counts!....thanks for watching the chanel Dave peace out ✌️
Just do it
I will I will lol...sup bro good to hear from you!
Oh man thank you so much! I just saw this. Missed it when it got out. I have been writing notes from the entire video. That Queen looks great. I'll have my eye out for it. Thank you so much again! //Jonas
No thank you sir! I have so enjoyed watching your channel we have very similar dates in music. I have been subscribed to your channel for a while now. Keep on keeping on and happy hunting I'll try to keep in touch Jonas ✌️
This is the Queen video I told yall about. ruclips.net/video/M74Ezw5QXLc/видео.htmlsi=gkIjPNUgfohoND08
I acquired a 202. Just putting it on the bench for idler and belts. Nice machine. Children of the Sun....excellent stuff. Have cassette, CD and vinyl. I appreciate the video! You have the right attitude...step back if needed, take your time. Tape and I go back to 1980...USAF...2" AMPEX Quad video, then RTR's and all the rest. Tape played an important role for some of us. Take care!
Right on! your welcome glad it was useful!
Dude thank you so much for your video…I was completely successful in replacing all 3 belts and my RX-202 is working like a charm! You’re the best, thank you!
Right on I am so happy to help I so love my tape deck and it is a pleasure to help others keep theirs going!
Hey great pick up’s.. Though not a fan of etched vinyl. Loved the Kraftwerk Video and I see your a Lego fan too! 👍🎵🎶🎵
Thanks for watching
Ganaar7575 on Whatnot is a great seller!
This deck featured in the film "Basic Instinct". I noted the deck rotating the cassette and always kept an eye out for a one. Purchased one in 1988/9, still have it. Changed the belts, and still enjoy the music.
Wow I never bought that I'll have to check it out. Yes this is an amazing deck so glad your has been keeping on!
never heard of Kraf twerk jajajajajajajajajajaj
I got Sevendust, Gandalf, and Chase Atlantic for record store day. I didn’t get everything I wanted but im happy with these
That's awesome! Ya that's the other thing that tough about RSD is standing in live for a while and not being able to get what you came for. Looks like you got some decent stuff though. How is the quality of the pressings do they sound good?
@@hifijedi69 Well, Sevendust and Chase Atlantic are first pressings so there isn't really nothing else to compare them with but they sound good on my system. Gandalf is recorded using the original tapes but the original tapes never sounded "perfect" I do not own an original copy to compare but I heard that this reissue has better base. The pressing is not as great as I would like but I love the music.
The Beatles, Elvis and Kraftwerk were the three that set me on my music journey. I remember hearing Computer World when it first came out in ‘81. I was only 2 at the time but I remember how remarkable new and fresh it sounded and fortunately even though I’ve heard this album countless times, it still retains that freshness today. Thanks for sharing!!!
That is Awesome Stephen. Ya you just can't listen to them enough always a great goto when your not sure what you want to listen to...Thanks again and thanks so much for joining the chanel! More to come soon 😊
Interesting collection. There's some awesome stuff on CD. I just picked up Hammersmith Odeon 1981 which is the first Kraftwerk concert i saw. Lovely soundboard recording. Theres some unreleased stuff on some CDs as well. All the best from England.
Hey there loyal! Ya I have a couple CDs but have been on the hunt for all the vinyl I have not purchased many. I will check that one of which you speak out...That is awesome that you got to see them I jelly! 😂 Peace Out from Kansas City Missouri...
@hifijedi69 seen them 3 times. I am at the Royal Festival Hall gig featured on Minimum Maximum ( Neon Lights). I also got Ralf and Florian's autographs at that gig. An amazing day all round.
Appreciate you Sean! Looking forward to more videos and shows.
That means allot! I got a bunch more in store so thanks for watching and stay tuned!
Hell Yea!, Pete aka Purenostalgia here wanting to thank you for all the support. also, why arent u doing whatnot auctions? you have a killer setup and awesome personality !! Get in there!
Well I'm out of records to sell ! Lol I did a few last year and I got some LEGO ones I have start3s doing maybe a few pointers on product sources?😊

That's awesome man

Does an acrylic platter make a difference. I have a fluance rt82 and am looking at getting the acrylic platter and wondering if it’s worth it
My parts come in today. Ive have the deck disassembled and ready to install. Thanks for the video.
Like your video Purchased a RX 202 The person who I purchased it from preformed maintenance after watching your video. Why does the Idler wheel, according to posts I have read ware out so fast. I also own a DR-1 and a CR7A fully serviced Jeff
Great room, it shows all the hard work you put into it. Thanks for sharing, looking forward to seeing the audio gear video.

41:30 Hi Jedi, followed your video all belts and drive wheel replaced. Deck plays but will not auto reverse and continue unless I manually flip to be side. Any ideas?
Have you tested to see if the motor is working? And did you get the timing marks right on re assembly?
Hello Jedi, thanks for the reply! Timing mark was slightly off… I kept rotating and retrying and by luck SUCCESS! Putting it back together now! Thank you, thank you THANK YOU🎉
So glad I could help now enjoy that baby it should sound amazing!
@HiFi Jedi it's amazing! I worked for a company in 1984 that sold both the 202 and Dragon... Im playing tapes Maxell XLII 90s made on those two display decks and I'm just blown away at the sound quality 39yrs later!!!
That is so awesome!
Great video. Thanks for such a details. What type of oil do you recommend to put on eject mechanism? Greetings.
Congrats and nice room! I have the Audiolab 6000cdt and a Nakamichi BX-150 2-head deck. Love your RX-202. Keep on spinning👍👍
Thanks Virgil I so love it it's a great deck
I was 15 when Star Wars came out. Spent that entire summer in the theater. Meeting George Lucas decades later is a day I'll always cherish. Nice room and collection.
Oh wow, now that would be so cool! Thanks David I love it!
Clean deck, nice job on the service. MSRP in '82 was $879. Scotch tape makes the driver wheel job simple and easy. Info on the tape counter is wrong. Basic Sankyo mech...just upside down. Don't you wish it was a 505? 3 heads...dual capstan...closed loop...pad lifter, et cetera.
Thanks David. Ya a 505 would be awesome I have yet to come across one.
Thanks for sharing your space. You've put together a great collection of music and more. Lots of fun themes. The rig is impressive 💪 too. Greg
Mr. Jedi - I have a RX-202 that needs the idler tire replaced, at least. I happen to be in the Kansas City area. Would you be interested in helping me out with this player?
Hey John I could do it for you how big of a hurry are you in? I've got a few things in my shop I would need to finish up first but it is something that I would be happy to help you with!
@@hifijedi69 Not in a big hurry. How do we move this conversation to email or text?
