The dynamic of the brothers is quite realistic. This film has brought catharsis back in full force. Impressive film even by 2023 standards. Roger's character is a beacon of light that shines throughout... mesmerizing and spot on. This story grabs the viewer by the throat and arrests attention to every single piece of dialogue. I miss classic films like this. Thoroughly enjoyed Redfield in this quiet storm role. Now I can't unsee him as that character. Far too believable which is a great thing!

real life ...great movie ...when you have a good script , you don't need to spend ca-billions on a production...don't miss this one...

This is a beautifully made indie drama, well acted, sensitively directed and written with deep insight. Mark Redfield, known for such indie wonders as THE DEATH OF POE, produced this film and plays a major role in it as well. Absolutely worth seeing. Written and directed by Tom Brandeau.

Two older brothers are hyenas.

Wonderfully Written and Directed Drama you would think it had a big budget. It shows how to go through the death of a father an needing the rest of the story of his demise four brothers set out to find each other and learn to cope in their own way.

This is a marvelous low budget drama that will please audiences who enjoy films like THE BIG CHILL (1983) . Four brothers get together to deal with a family tragedy . Very good performances, with the stand outs being Mark Redfield as the oldest brother, and Brita Jepsen as a Cold Harbor local woman who begins to share thoughts and ideas with one of the younger brothers. Sadly, this seems to be the only film by this writer /director . Recommended if you are a fan of thoughtful dramas. 4 Stars.

This was awesome!!

A fine production on the last days of Edgar Allen Poes life in Baltimore. Mark Redfields Production and performance captures the hauntingly solitary existence that was Poes under-appreciated existence whose recognition came much too late, post mortem. Marks filmic style in this depiction mirrors Poes life to the grunge of the industrial period in America reminding us of his tragic amd tormented existence. Well done and thank you.

Wow! That was excellent. Kudos for bringing Poe to life, and his sad end. He was the first writer to inspire me; adapted several of his pieces to stage, and a video myself. He is one of the immortals.
