    As a media teacher, you videos are great quality. For RUclips variety and to increase your audience…maybe add a tally summary at the end before you say thanks. Example fly challenge leach 4, elk cad 3, bottle cap 0…and maybe after you say thanks have a photo slide show of the 5 best photos of the day. At the start of each video you could do the same with 2 best photos of another place you were at prior. Just media ideas…like your content. Great professional Alberta Regs inserts.

      Yeah, sorry about that. We also feel it isn't always about catching fish, but the adventure all together. We're also still learning how to film all this, and the fish don't always cooperate. I have chatted with a few Fly Fisherman in the fly shops and they had mentioned the Castle has been quite difficult this year. Of course, everyone is welcome to hit the fast-forward button if they don't want to wait. We'll try to do better.

    I'm extremely confused about these regulations. Because the open times usually state from March to May. But yet I consistently see people, including my father fishing outside those times but we're doing catch and release.

    • @fishonalberta
      @fishonalberta 4 месяца назад

      Yes, the regulations these days tend to be much more confusing than before. Normally under the "Season" column is where you will find when a body of water is open or closed. Fishing during the "Closed" or "Off Season" is against the regulations, even if only catch and release, and could result in a fine. There reason being for example, In the spring or fall, when many lakes and rivers are not to be fished, is mainly due to the spawning cycle of certain fish. If you catch and release a fish, pre or post spawn, there is an increased likely hood the fish won't have the strength or energy to either complete the spawn, or recover from it. I have personally seen anglers that have fished closed waters, receive massive fines up to $800, depending on the officer. In my opinion, it's just not worth the cost. If you'd like, feel free to check us out on Facebook, and if you have any questions or want some suggestions as to where to go, just shoot us a PM! We'll be more than happy to help you out. Just know, you're not alone when it comes to these confusing regulations.

    • @fishonalberta
      @fishonalberta 4 месяца назад

      @@TutorialClan It is absolutely frustrating. Part of the reason I believe is because of the "Season" itself. Technically the season runs from April 1st 2024 to April 1st 2025. For Wabamun Lake in PP2 the lake is / Open from May 15th 2024 to March 31st 2025. / So the lake is open now. It will only close at the start of April 2025 and re-opens May 16th 2025. • @fishonalberta
      @fishonalberta 5 месяцев назад

      Yes, almost all of the fish were caught while trolling at a slow speed and pulling 2 nymphs. They were probably just inches below the surface. Due to the excessive weeds, I was reluctant to use the sink line. I had used a BH Prince Nymph, and had 2 fish take that, but the majority took the Hotspot Pheasant Tail Nymph. It could have been because it was the trailer fly at the bottom. Who knows. But it worked. Thanks for watching!
