How long the battery last sir?
Cant till exactly how long, but I can say that the battery life is not great. I would strongly recommend to buy a spare battery 😊 specially if you are going to use it for filming👍🏻
wait it got nlog?
No not that I know of any way 😊
Nice and very different 🙂👍
Thank you mate 🙏🏻

Nice video!! As a fellow Z50 shooter I can confirm this is a great street setup. The VR in the kit lens allows for sharp photos handheld even down to 1/15. Truly amazing.
Thanks !! 🙏🏻 truly agree mate! 😀🤩
Great video Christian, images turned out great! So good that we finally managed to meet up in person, have to do it soon again!
Yeah mate!! Cant wait to get out on some more adventures 😀

Thanks mate!! 🙏🏻 next time you have to go with, would be a greeting trip mate 😀👊🏻
Wow the scenery is just incredible! Such a joy to be able to follow along on your journey!
Yeah! I just love Norway !! 😀
I definitely think the 15 pro shines the best in street photography. Probably my favorite camera to use now along with my ZFC.
I agree! I actually used it a lot for some landscape and life style photography now when I were in Norway doing some photography work. It’s a great mobile and camera 🤩
Hey Christian, my name is Johnny and I'm a freelance logo designer, currently I'm looking for more works, do you love to have a logo for your channel's branding to have a memorable graphic based monogram logo to help your audience recognise and follow your channel easier? I would love to design a adventure themed logo inspired by your direction for you! Let me know if you interested to make it happen! :-)
Do you have any website or recent work I can look at ? I might be interested in a logo :)
Hi Christian, nice to meet you and thanks for interested! I don't have a website but I can send you my previous works as references for some of my aesthetics, do you prefer instant message on Instagram DM or email? :-)
What most people don't realize is the Z6 models all have an AA filter over the sensor, the Z50 does not, so the Z50 will actually capture more detail in the files than the Z6 models will. If you find online sources where they have sample images from both cameras you can inspect the images side by side and see that the Z50 has equal or better level of detail. When you consider image quality it is hard to find justification for spending twice as much money for the Z6. Somebody might mention that fewer lenses are available for the Z50 but there are plenty of good wide angle lenses manufactured for the F mount that will work with the FTZ adapter.
That I did not know! Great info! Will look up that to my next video and explain that as well. It’s a great selling point for the z50 😀
Nice review and scenes 🙂👍
Thank you so much 😀🙏🏻
The Nikon Z6 II holds immense potential for landscape photography, which unfortunately wasn't fully showcased in this video. Its advanced features, such as exceptional image quality, high resolution, excellent low-light performance, and extensive customization options, make it an ideal tool for capturing stunning landscapes. It might be worth highlighting these aspects in future content to better demonstrate what this camera can offer in this field.
Absolutely, you are right. But this was a video about the first time in the field, and my at the moment experience. Check out my other video on the Nikon z6 ii after 6 months of using it 😊
You learn to how to adapt timing to get passers by. One thing I bought as a gimmick was a quality 2x telephoto lens for my iPhone 15. To have 2x on the main 48mp camera and being able to crop up to 50% gave me 100mm. It also helped to get my timing of people passing.
Wow thanks for the tips! 100 mm is all you need in zoom for streets in my opinion. Any tips on where to buy it? I will definitely try that and maybe make a RUclips about it😀
@@christiangidlow im using the reeflex kit. As i said, expensive but its serious glass. Theres quote a bit on youtube. There are also compasison videos. As i said. Not cheap, you need a case with the lens mount as well, but i like it. ( and their long range macro lens. Google reeflexstore.
Imagine the flood taking the car... Hahah! Great video man!
Haha yeah, would be a quite chock 😂 They where warning on parking to close to river around Rondane when I was there. But don’t think the car would go away with the flood 😜 Thanks mate 😀
● For _Megapixel_ obsessed: -Z6ii has focus stacking. -Every photo should fill frame & not need cropped @24mp -Best lenses / glass = image quality -Every Camera & Lens can focus stack manually too
That’s true 👊🏻
Wow the urge to go back to Norway is crazy now!
Yeah!! Tell me when and I will tag along mate 😀👊🏻
My z6ii won’t let me change into any continuous modes only single and timers. Do you know what could be causing this?
I’m not sure exactly, but you are shooting fully in manual ? I have noticed that in some mode some things are locked. And wich way are you changing? I use the button i when I’m on the shooting screen and get the menu that way :)
I was a pro photographer for 10+ years and shot with my Canon, then switched to iPhone photography. I started with 12 pro max then just recently got my 15 pro max with 1 TB gig. I love it!!!!
It’s really a great phone and camera. You literally don’t need any more as you say! Unless in some situations. But it’s really fun to have a camera in you pocket all the time 😀
Do you shoot proraw, and edit yourself with Lightroom?
@@jm31828 yes on all 3

How does youre wildlife shooting goes with youre iphone?
👍
I have the Z6II and some Z lenses but I find the body a bit heavy for hiking here in Småland.. I still have my Nikon1 V2 and like this smaller body, so now I have decided to sell the N1 system and get the Z50 that is similar in size for hiking, so less gear, and everything in the Z system. Thank you for the great review, and you just got a new subscriber 😊
How is your experience with the image quality? What lenses do you use?
@@debadri I find the imagequality just as sharp and good as the Z6II, and I like the buttons on the back better placed in some way on the Z50 I have the 40mm f2, 24-70mm f4, 105mm f 2.8 and 400mm f 4.5.
@@jimmietinis so are you using all full frame lenses on z50?
I also have Z6ii and only have 2 lens one is z 24-70 F4 and Z 50mm F1.8. For landscape I only take Z 24-70 which is already enough. One thing is very important which is behind the camera is you.
Hello, I see that you are new to mobile photography, I summarize there are applications that allow you to make long exposures of more than 20 minutes, as well as there are lenses that are placed on the mobile lens that gives you more quality, you get 18mm lenses. , 50mm and 70 mm and a fisheye, all of them placed in the lens of the largest sensor in an iPhone and that give you the quality of 48mpx in an iPhone 15 pro max, apart from that, more lenses and more brands will come out on the market such as It's already happening now. As a photographer I have a Nikon D-850 with professional lenses and a Sony A7 IV with professional lenses as well as professional lighting equipment. In a few years we will see that mobile phones almost eat up cameras, they are already doing it in compact and entry-level cameras and whoever does not get on this train will be left behind. Greetings
Vad fin film. Snyggt, en perfekt plats och underbart väder.
The biggest improvement : the out-of-focus JK bro, nice video! Looking to buy one to replace my D7000 Keep the good videos coming, best of luck! ♥
Hahahaha didn’t get I at first. But now I get it, my native English is a bit rusty 😂😂 thanks mate! I would highly recommend buying this camera 👊🏻
Great video. I also own a Z6ii but focusing birds in flight it's an issue, so I'll trade in for a Z8 soon.
Thank you so much 🙏🏻 yeah I can imagine that, I’m longing to get the Z8 soon as well. Beter in focus and also to do n-log straight in to the camera 😀
It's very easy to have RawMax permanently installed. Just go to Camera settings, then Keep settings, then Resolution control and Apple ProRAW. Provided you have first set up Camera then Formats and finally Resolution Control and Apple ProRAW. Once you've done this, RawMax will never leave.
Great video and awesome shots man! I always have my phone with me like everyone else and also take pictures of my family on spontanious go outs, but regarding street photography somehow I never thought of my iPhone - for streets I automatically take one of my cameras😅:D Regarding the RAW setting: go into your phone Settings and then select camera. Then it should say something like Preserve Settings, then turn on Apple ProRAW / ProRAW. Now every time you open the camera app the RAW shooting mode is on by default.
Thank you so much :D Yeah me as well, have never thought about using my phone. and im am actually trying to do it more, because to be honest the feeling is not the same. its not really as fun, but I think its very helpful to learn and become a better photographer. what do you think ? :)
@@christiangidlow Totally agree with you! I’m currently in between something to try to improve my (street) photography. 1. take camera with me every time, even if I don’t shoot anything OR 2. simply shoot no matter what, since phone is always with me. As you said shooting with a phone is not fun and in my current mindset it’s not a camera - it’s a multi tasking device. That’s why it is currently easier for me to carry a camera at any time and if there is a nice shot, I’ll take vs. taking out my phone to shoot it - it is so weird! Shooting with a dedicated camera is easier for me to stay in that mindset of taking a photo. But I have to admit in the end it’s just an excuse at least for me to venture out and buy cameras 😅 Practising using the phone only as you demonstrated greatly in this video takes the gear part out of the equation and it goes down to skill and improving it. And I should do this too. Hope this somehow makes sense 😅
I have used Full Frame, micro four-thirds, APS-C and 1 inch sensors for professional photography. I can work with all of them.
N-Log???
The camera don’t support pure N-log , but a similar think with picture control in flat. So you can at least start learning a bit with colour correction 😀👍🏻
Have you ever used add-on filters to your iPhone?
Hello! I have not tested that yet, but I want to some time :)
I learned about a decade ago after retiring from commercial shoots that the biggest mistake is Expecting that photography is Only about making money. This is a quick way to getting burned out and resent picking up a camera after a while. I know I went through three bouts of burnout in my 45 years of shooting trying to think I was only shooting for pay. It wasn't until the third burnout little over ten years ago that I realized that I started photography out of the Love of shooting and creating images on film and in the darkroom, [now digitally], that keeps me coming back. Now I shoot what I want, when I want, experimenting with new techniques and cameras new and old, all of which is less stress and personal rather than shooting what others want. For some of us photography is a pure art form and personal expression of what we are feeling at the time, and if someone wants to buy a print or use my image, well that is icing on the cake, otherwise I don't care anymore, something that comes due to age and experiences I guess.
Yeah! I have not been so long in the business yet. But I think you have a great point! And that’s what I want to find, that balance. I’m not there yet though 😊
@@christiangidlow It's hard and different for everyone, and then you go through phases in both work and personal shooting.
Great content, love the idea about not thinking of every job as a payday!
Thank you so much 🙏🏻
I think the big thing to remember from what you said about getting paid for every job is that A LOT of people seem to take issue with getting paid with experience instead of money. They somehow see it as a "loss" despite the fact that you acquire experience, social connections to people who might open up doors for you to get more jobs and build up your portfolio to prove you are qualified to get the job that does pay with money
Exactly! I’m guilty of having thoughts like that as well, that it’s I wast of time if you don’t get paid. But we have to re think some times 😀👊🏻
Great video man! I. totally agree! Do spec work to attract the clients you want!
Thank you 🙏🏻 yeah, exactly! 👊🏻
Good video man, and I agree!

Hi Christian, thanks for the review. I own a D750 and I'm about to purchase the Z6ii. How did you feel about having no flash? Did you buy a flash or it's ok to start without one (I've never used an external flash before)? thx
Hello! the D750 where m go to camera before as I probably mention. And I think it's well worth the upgrade! I did own a of camera flash before I upgraded, so never had to think about it like you do. But my opinon is that you don't need a on camera flash, it's way more worth buying a cheap of camera flash and start to test the world of flash photography. So I think you should go for the camera and later buy a cheaper flash and start testing :D
turn on active d lighting for video
I will do that, thanks for the tips 👍🏻
@@christiangidlow for sure, also test output to 720p and 1080p from 4K. I think you'll be surprised. To push the camera to the max shoot in Active D-lighting on Flat profile. Just keep in mind semi big or big productions are using lights, and scrims during the day. Those trees are pushing that little sensor to the max. As a one man band, grab a real WB card and Grey card (non reflective). As you set up your shot, drop it into your scene so you can use it in post to correct your WB in post. Since the camera shoots the full frame, I'd figure out a ratio process so you could just leave the WB card in frame, then crop it out afterwards, or wear clothing that can be used as a giant WB adjuster, like a proper 50% grey shirt, or accessories on your bag, like a tag that's non distracting. Like there's ways to add balance cards to integrate them in your scenes that are non-distracting. Key chain, shoe color choice, pants color, jacket, shirt, hat, bookbag or even just planting something in a scene. You got options.
Great video man! Can you tell me if the microphone port can be selected to be mic input or line level input?
Thank you 🙏🏻 I would to answer you, but I have tried to look in the camera I can. But I can’t find it and have no clue if I can or if I can’t 😂 just search the web and some more knowledge will give you the right answer 😀

That’s your opinion.
