My phost pepper plant is huge but hasnt thrown and peppers besides one thatcwas taken by a small mouse. Any tips would be appreciated
Does it have many flowers?
@@gardeningandgrowing6357 yes, its had flowers since late May. I have pollinators cause all my other pepper plant are fruiting fine except my highest pepper
@@roym6980 Do the flowers just die and fall off?
@@gardeningandgrowing6357 yes and it keep producing flowers. I heard it takes longer for hotter peppers to fruit not sure how accurate that is tho
@@roym6980 Super hot peppers do take longer to fruit. Sounds like it’s growing well. Just give it more time.
How much do you fill the bottom bucket?
Until water comes out of the drainage hole.
Yes...same zone. I will try this
It’s worth it
Drop that "SUCKER" in a bottle of water and in 1-2 weeks it'll have roots and you can plant it. Soo TRUE!!!
Yep. I’ve done it.
Thanks! You learnt me something today 😂
You’re welcome!
Or you could leave them alone and have way more tomatoes.
You could but without the airflow more disease too.
Had no idea you could propagate sucklers, thanks!
Me neither! Really excited to try it
Me neither. I'm breaking my next one off and planting it, although it is quite late in the season
You’re welcome! It works
I,plant them abundantly in jamaica very nice tree
Thanks! I bet yours grow great.
hi, could you make a video (or did you) on how to fertilise plants that are kinda crowded in a pot? I try to be very careful but a lot of time I end up getting messy and the fertilisers would stuck on the stalks and leaves.. and burn my plants 😢😢
Have you tried an organic liquid fish type fertilizer?
Thank you for sharing; I’ve been looking around to see how to fertilize all of my young pepper plants. I found exactly what I need to do. Thanks again
You’re welcome. Glad I could help!
yup my moms curled and then crisped up at the tips
Sorry
If you water them don't water them during the day or in the morning, wait until the sun goes down. They will recover from it.
Why?
Coming from someone who grew on commercial farms, the watering at night gives the plant to absorb that water through the night and use it throughout next day or two. Watering in the morning or mid day makes the plant focus on more things than growing@@gardeningandgrowing6357
I am in Tennessee and we are going through 100° right now.In my tomato, plants seem fine. But my raspberry, Bush and gooseberry Bush are having Browning and curling of leaves.I believe we're in zone six
Yeah. It’s the high temps
Once curled they don't uncurl.
But won’t affect the plant
They can definitely uncurl. It depends I'm sure on the reason for curling. But plants can curl to try and create a little humid pocket for better transpiration and they'll uncurl once the conditions shift
The Govwrnment sprays chemicals 8n the air why the UV's are insane..? Best way to combat this issue is shade cover like canvas painters tarp worked for meand lots of water.
Yeah sure
What kind of "chemicals"? 😂
@@BenitoFan760 Good question. My answer is nothing. Lol
@@gardeningandgrowing6357i will say while I won't jump into "the gov is poisoning our crops!" I did notice one year that my peppers were especially weird in terms of leaf mutations. Everything I researched pointed toward a certain type of weed killer I think. Maybe a pest control., can't remember. But in any case I realized the crop you'd use that synthetic crud on, there were acres and acres around me, and it can carry in the wind for miles. Never tested them at a lab to "prove" it, but it was wild and only seemed to be the peppers and some tomatoes. Same exact soil and same as the years prior and only those couple types of plants affected so it seems like it was external.
@@BenitoFan760Here in Pennsylvania the state will openly tell you that the spray the abc chemicals especially heavy in creeks and water ways
Do you have to reapply often or after rain or does the powder leave something behind when washed away. I'm asking because I have a chipmunk problem and I'm going to start using cayenne pepper powder around my garden, between the rows and on the plants. I've heard that rodents and rabbits will avoid my garden if it's covered in pepper powder. Thank You
You would have to reapply after it rains. Cayenne pepper you can apply as much as you want.
I've got 3 growing in my garden but there is a major lack of bee's. Do you know how I can, or if I should try to, manually pollinate them? Thanks for your help
Peppers don’t really need a pollinator. They self pollinate like a tomato. The wind and breeze should be fine. You can try shaking them too.
How long should I wait to prune the higher up ones after I do the first few?
I’d say about a week should be good.
If you prune too many at once van it cause ur plant to wilt?
It could stress plant. Could wilt. Can damage plant long term.
Good advice!
Thanks!
Can you do that with wild onions/garlic? They get bloom things like that.
The onion one is hollow. A garlic scale isn’t.
Great in pesto too....yum
It’s so tasty.
You can also pull them
To break them off?
what do you use garlic scapes for?
You can use them like you use garlic. Garlic scape pesto is very nice.
Are garlic scapes similar too green onions/chives?
They aren’t hollow on the inside. They taste like garlic and not onions. They are very tasty!
@gardeningandgrowing6357 oh awesome, thanks for much for telling me! I've only ever heard of them and this was my first time even seeing them!
YW
Burpee seeds sucks! Great video!
Thanks.
Lunchbox reds also another good snacking pepper. Very sweet and delicious. Great looking plant keep it up!
Thanks. I’ll have to put that pepper on my list!
Is that treated lumber?
It is. I did research. It’s safe. It’s treated with copper now.
How do you keep rabbits from eating your vegetables?
How did you make it grow SO many branches at the bottom?
Nothing special. I just fertilized it. It basically grew that way.
That seems like a lot of fertilizer?
It’s really not because it’s organic. I also done have to fertilize for awhile.
Thank u for sharing. 😊
You’re welcome. And thank you!
How do you know when to put in more water?
Pot gets lighter. But it would be pretty difficult to overwater.
Almost a year with no comments and this is such a good video, lemme fix that
Thanks! Glad you like it.
No probs
Thanks.
You’re welcome
if it is a flower seedling, should I use fertilizer for flower or for leaves?
Either one. They all need fertilizer
Keep us updated on them 👍
Will do!

Thank you! I appreciate it!
Did you drill any additional drainage holes?
No. There are 3 holes in the bottom of each piece.
How much is it? Thanks 🥰
$12.99 by me
My favorite chili ❤ got some trinidad scorpion & carolina reaper too.
Nice! What do you do with them?
I just saw the aldi one today. I might have to go back for it.
It’s way better than the dollar store one.
Do you manually rotate this to allow sunlight to get to the backside of the tower?
I did when remembered too. But all sides got a decent amount of sun. Depends what you are growing in the tower too. Some plants need more sun.
Do you spray it for the oriental moth ?
I’ve never had to spray it. Insects have never been a problem
@@gardeningandgrowing6357 oh wow how lucky! How do you achieve that? I have 2 peach trees and this year is its 3rd) year. This is the first time they are full of baby peaches. I'm in zone 8a , South Carolina and yesterday I went to look at them and saw several of them with a tiny tiny hole. It had a clear zap coming out of the hole. Only 30% of the peaches are affected. I looked it up and it's a moth that puts the eggs inside the peaches. I've been looking on youtube too see if it's possible to have organic peaches as everyone says you have to spray otherwise they get these pests.
They haven’t reached my zone yet? I d never heard of them until you mentioned them.
Congrats 😊 I hope they get huge
Thanks!
Very nice selection 👌 👍
Thanks!
Nice
Thanks!
How many seasons has the tree been in ground?
I think this was like 5 years.
Sttaight from jamaica up and running
Awesome!
nice harvest! Just bought one contender tree from Costco!
Thanks! It’s a great tree. You won’t be disappointed
