I've lost 20 kilos in the past year and a half (92 to 72kg) and started gym 6 months ago m and got good newbie gains from consistency. One thing I've learned is that discipline is king and everybody has it. The laziest, most procrastinating person (who was me once) can do what I did. We all have in in us, every fckin one of us has it. You just gotta get up and start somewhere. I never got out of my house, I never talked to anyone. I played games all day, watched movies, tv shows, binge ate snacks, and never moved an inch, sometimes for 16 hours at a time (entire waking hours) and I got extremely weak, fat and depressed. I was basically an adult with no friends, had distanced myself from my own family, masturbated all day and was mindfcked every single day. I HATED, ABSOLUTELY HATED what I saw in the mirror. One day, I had enough of it and started an extreme calorie deficit. I only lasted a week. I basically only ate 2 meals a day, which were pretty average sized, and totaled to about 1300-1400 calories a day. In just a week, I gave up and wanted to eat a whole box of doughnuts. However, when I weighed myself right at the end of that week, I was extremely surprised that I had almost lost a kilo. This small progress that I noticed that day was the most vital point in my life at that point that made me believe I can do this, and I can lose all my body fat and become lean. Take one step and keep taking another every single day. It could be something as small as cutting that one piece of bread, or that one spoon of sugar in your coffee. This is how I slowly cut all the shit I ate every day and realized I ate so much unnecessary shit that kept me fat, and depressed all these years. 2 years later, I'm in the best shape of my life, 16% body fat. My muscles are more visible, I can almost see my ab lining and I feet light as a feather. I can move in ways I could never imagine 2 years ago, and lift weights that weigh more than me.

I hit rock bottom so many times in my life I actually got to where I imagined I heard a voice saying, "welcome home son”. After that, troubles never seemed to touch me again. (I did NOT say I never had them!) But since the fear of hitting or being at the bottom became a safe place to me, it never paralyzed me again.
