🌵 Arizona April 🏜️
США
Добавлен 3 янв 2014
Hi, My name is April, and I have always been the girl with all the pictures, all the videos, and saved footage. I've been into photography since I can remember. My husband and I love to explore our state and try out new camping hacks and spots! We have a sarcastic sense of humor and always seem to have the weirdest things happen to us!
I take a lot of trips with my bestie Charles as well and we’ve been friends since we were kids!! Always a blast with him!
I am an Arizona native, seeking out more adventure, camping trips, and hidden gems as far as I can go!
Thank you for watching my channel, Please like, subscribe and share to help me achieve the best videos for you guys and to live my dreams out!

COOKING BURGERS OVER A CAMPFIRE | DIFFICULT FIRE 🔥
Reserved a campsite for 3 nights and was unable to actually camp due to multiple different reasons. So my bestie Chaz and I decided to have a quick day trip to our site and still have a picnic and bbq… But to start this fire was difficult and we used only a stick to cook with!!
Just shows how easy it can be to throw together a little spontaneous trip and make the best out of other failed plans.

Love the videos, but in all of my years of camping, I do not recall an instance where I thought to myself, "I wish I brought my sledgehammer". LOL
Petey Dog brings back lots of childhood memories!
I just bought a used pop-up trailer, my daughter, and her mom, sister and maybe some of the grandkids want to go try it out pretty soon, we go to Munds Park and camp at Schnebly Hill Road a lot but I told her there's other places in Flagstaff that is nice. That looks like happy Jack?
@@patd4u2 Aw that is awesome!! I really hope you all like the pop up! What did you get? I love the Munds park area as well! This specific video was taken near ashurst lake. Near Upper lake Mary as well off the forest service road going to ashurst lake. Beautiful area and my favorite place to go. There is a lot of beautiful camping areas as well in Williams. 😊
@@arizona_april I bought a used 2017 Viking 1706, it's the smallest one they make I think, we go camping up in Flagstaff, and at the rim on the 260, I have a class B camper van and my oldest daughter they have a old class C. My youngest daughter and her husband just bought a really big canvas tent that they used last weekend in Munds Park and my former other half camps with us as we are still pretty friendly with each other, and she was in a small tent, we are both getting up there in age and I felt sorry for her so I went today online and found this pop up camper. We are all going to Mesa to go look at it tomorrow, the paperwork is all done but we can't get delivery of it until Wednesday. so everybody is all excited to go look at it and bring it home on Wednesday.
It's a winch not a wench
I know that. lol
The sunsets in AZ are some of the most beautiful in the country. So happy to see you sharing the magic of the desert! Keep up the good work and stay cool ❤
@@JenniferJayde-MalibuJayde Thank you! 😊
I have this model as a Forest River. We overpaid for it but won't ever lose money. This summer it gets new plank floor, for sure trim on the countertops, maybe new countertops, water tank and fridge removal, rotating the middle bench to become a gaucho and some electrical updates.
Our main rig is a 21 ft hybrid used more for multiple-night trips. We also have a small pop-up for quick trips and one-nighters or second unit when extra family tags along. My only issue is that there is not enough floor space to have a chair when we're forced inside. My plan is to take out the water tank, sink and fridge and twist the middle bench to the wall to create a gaucho and more floor space.
That sounds like an awesome plan! I love how versatile these pop ups can be and the different remodeling options. We have enough space for the two of us but once we get the 3 dogs inside, there is no room. lol. But normally we are only inside to sleep unless the one random rainstorm we get here in AZ. 😂 Good Luck on your project!
I love it. You're so lucky to get it. Happy camping
Love my pop up. 2010 fleetwood williamsburg. Its so cozy. My boxer dog loves it too. Wished i could use it more. People in my area like to ruin the camp spaces
That food looks fantastic
It turned out amazing! Thank you! 🫶
Nice guys
Ive been loooki g for camper videos. I just started filming my camping trips. I just subscribed to your channel
That is awesome! Welcome to the channel! Thanks for the sub, I will give ya a follow back!
@@arizona_april THANK YOU.
Nice vido, glad you like your camper and hope it serves you well... FYI... a "wench" and a "winch" are two very very different things!
Yeah I know 🤣😂
There are lift arm supports that are needed, that I don't see on your video. If they are missing, you should order a pair. You put them on opposing corners to prevent room dropping.
Yes we ended up finding all of the parts for our awning 😃 works great! Thanks!
There countless videos you should watch for things like awning set up and other functions.
Just bought 2 pop up campers for $100 a piece. A Rockwood and a StarCraft. Everything is in good shape. The StarCraft has a couple of mouse chew holes, but everything is in great shape. The Rockwood has a couple of cable issues, but that is easy to fix. Will be using them for guest quarters on my new 40 acres homestead.
Wow!! That is awesome!! Good finds for sure! 👍
Sorry about the editing on this one guys… not sure what happened but I hope you enjoy it anyway 😂❤
KODIAK OATMEAL BOY IS THAT STUFF GARBAGE .....
prietty
Thanks!
I love how happy you are
Thank you Linda!! 🫶
Can you clarify which legs support vertically? We have same canopy, one pair have small feet with holes and one pair have rounded black plastic ends. The loops you slid your horizontal ones in are gone on ours.
So I believe the feet with the holes are what will be on the ground that way you can put a tent stake in the hole to keep the awning from blowing up. The pair with the black ends should extend and push against the trailer and hold in either a loop at the end. I hope that helps 😅
Sweet! We paid $2,000 for ours but it is not as nice as yours.
What make and model is that pop up ?
Nice! Did you see anything else on Route 66 noteworthy?
What the beans 🫘 and ground beef looks like Mexican food fir lunch 😆 🤣
Yupppp!!!
I like it I want it .I'm 67 widow and ready to move on with the rest of my life. Let me no where you are by for now.

Where is this?
In the seven springs area in cave creek Arizona
Your dog has a 'pig' head.
I think the dogs had a great time too😊
We’ve camped at White Horse Lake twice. Spring is the best time, I think, because it gets very crowded on weekends in the summer. The vault toilets cannot handle the crowds. Thank you for recording the hike in Sycamore Canyon. I’m too old to do that hike!
Oh wow! That is crazy but I definitely believe the crowds will do that! We camp in the dispersed areas around that lake but that area is so beautiful! Thanks for watching!
What a scenery, this looks spectacular my friend!
Thanks for visiting! Definitely beautiful 😊
New WENCH SYSTEM..LOL!! Seriously replace the old tires incase of dry rot!!
We replaced the tires! Definitely did not want to deal with dry rotted tires in this Arizona heat! 😂
Looks like great fun. I found your videos looking for pop ups. I think that is just what my family needs. I am tired of tent camping but not ready to spend tons on a travel trailer when we only go a few times a year.
This is great low maintenance durable camper. Good sturdy vintage pop-up.
You should get a bellow straw for your fire. Makes a world of difference. No more having to fan the fire.
I’ll look into that! I think I’ve heard of it before. Thanks for the suggestion and the subscription !🫶😃
Careful with the awning,it was raining one time we sat underneath of it,out of no where wind picked up and destroyed the awning
Yeah, you definitely mean winch. A wench is a female servant from the renaissance I believe.
Wow so beautiful. Usually, when I think of Arizona I think of very dry terrain with cactus n Joseph trees now I think differently. I'm sure that our Native American Indians drew water to drink from there during their migration routes.
Sacred 💧 as it flows out of the mountain rocks. 💥
Hi! New here. I was checking out older pop ups on here and yours came up. I Love it!!! I miss mine!!! I’ve had a few dif types of rv’s over the tests and now have a travel trailer that I love but can’t get any better then a pop up with Ty feeling of a camper and tent sleeping!!! The dogs are adorable and I just read one was run over by a truck? Omg 💔 how is she now?
Hello Nicole, Welcome!! Thank you so much I am glad you like Tiny Tim our pop up! I hope you get to get out with your trailer and travel and camp often! Thank you for the compliments on the pups 🥰 They appreciate it too! Lol! Yea Mary the middle size gray Pitbull was hit by a truck last year in October 😞 Thankfully she has recovered pretty well considering! She is able to swim and run around but I believe she will always have an issue with one of her back legs unless we amputate but we’ll see what the future has when we get there. Thank you 🙏
@@arizona_april awww. Poor baby. I actually have my camper at a Jellystone near my house in NY. It’s a seasonal spot. Im lucky enough to get my 7 year old grandson for the summer so we stay there and have a blast!!! The winters are dreary here so we will be starting to get out of here with the camper in the fall/winter!!!
you def. got a deal. We just got the same basic camper but its probably the next size bigger and a 2004 it has the cassette toilet and shower stall king and queen bed slide outs, they had never used the stove, hooked up water or used the furnace or toilet/shower stall. everything works perfectly and the a/c blows a cool 40 deg we paid 2000 for it and that was a great deal.
That is an awesome deal! Especially with an air conditioner and the cassette toilet! Good deal for you too! Now days I think some people are over pricing piece of junk trailers but the one you got sounds like you got a great deal!
I love how your campsite was so large with no one else around. I also love your dogs. I have a question about being in a pop-up with dogs. Do you ever fear that when they are inside the pop-up and smell and animal they might try to dig through the screen or jump through the screen or anything like that? I have two big dogs and I’m planning to get a pop-up. Thanks for any insight you can give!
Thank you! So as far as the dogs trying to dig out, I honestly do not worry too much about it but my dogs have been camping since they were puppies and know better. However, I still wouldn’t leave my dogs alone in the trailer and then go do something like go to a store or lake because then I think they may try to get out. Once you have the pop up , I would suggest setting it up at home first and training them a little and let them get used to it. If they try to push on screens or on canvas, correct them. Also if you truly think your dogs might do that, you can always set up a crate inside for them too. Hope that helps!!! And good luck when you get your pop up! They can be fun and challenging, but all worth it!
Nice work! My wife and I had fixed up a few Popup Campers over the years. Adventure awaits! Best of luck.
Thank you! That is great! Do y’all camp anymore?
@@arizona_aprilSeven kids later we Glamp in a 30ft bunk house. We had three Pop-ups over the years. A Dutchman Dock,Coleman Cheyenne, and Jayco 1206. Tons of fun.
@@andrewseamans1419 The Coleman pop ups are nice too! My brother actually has one of those! Hey man, after years of “rough” camping we all deserve some luxury 😉
I wonder if the camera doesn't catch all the color accurately. I know when I try to get something beautiful the picture/video pales in comparison to the real thing. Now I gotta get out there and see it for myself 😊
It does for sure! I use and IPhone 14 pro max and it still doesn’t do justice to this amazing landscape! ❤ You should check it out, nothing short of beautiful 🤩
We had a tent trailer for a few years. Ne er again. Good luck.
Love it ❤❤❤❤❤.
Me encanta es maravilloso, con tus perritos 🥰🥰🥰🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗👏👏👏👏🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕, que paz y felicidad 🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸
I must say, I love the way you guys camp. Love the setup too. I own a pop up too, want to camp nice and quiet like that and a place like that too. Thanks for sharing the video!
Hey thanks a lot! Hope you get to go out and enjoy camping soon!
Ey I'm not the only one who keeps playing cards on them lol
Right!! You never know when you gotta bust out a quick game 😝 LoL
