CEX are a joke to when it comes to ordering online and in general scam artists. Tried to trade in a PS4 Pro last year that was fully boxed and played once from new as Im more an Xbox fan. Originally offered me £140 so Im already meh so I leave it for testing. I come back once notified and they tried to say stick drift docking £40 off yet keeping the alleged broken controller, took it back and sold it online for £170 withing few hours. Games in store are usually missing manuals, reprinted covers or in absolute terrible condition. Had a few games Id bought off them, tried to trade them back in and they said thats unacceptable condition yet the same store sold me it. For me, I try to avoid them at all costs unless they really have a game I want and struggling to find a copy anywhere else. Online so far, 7 orders, 4 cancelled and same excuse each time - Game not fit for resale Subscribed to your channel

CEX should deffo combine postage costs if you buy multiple items

CEX are very capable of addressing this issue if combined products are bought from the same shop, it should be a given back in a voucher at the very least. They seem to be behind the times with their antics and the more people bring this up the better. They are big enough to absorb these costs, just greed

Be strong brother dont let the haters win like the saying goes you cant please everyone there are negative people in every walk of life i hope you are able to come back in the future and even if the way you put out your videos changes their will be plenty of people who will still view your channel including me im a collector myself and just try to collect games i enjoy and play them whenever i have time or feel like it as im autistic and suffer with anxiety and depression so that plays a big factor of how much i play games that i own or if i dont like the game but i wont stop collecting games that i like the look of or want but stay strong your fans and people who care are behind you. Im only 3 minutes into the vid right now, but honestly I kinda like that someone's waking up to the coffee a bit. I'm not genna say I haven't got silly gaming spending habits myself, I definitely do, but all this RUclips world of "I gotta have x game on SNES because it's £2000 in CEX", is just getting ridiculous. I'm genna mention one name and that's all, no ill will to him whatsoever he's a lovely bloke and I'll probably still watch his videos from time to time, but Retro Ghetto is probably one of the worst ones for it on here. I sometimes wonder if he even has a job and how he manages to get all the stuff he does, because I don't know how anyone has all this time to just go on Amazon and search those Spongebob collector editions things, on top of buying SNES every week, a full set of PS3 essentials etc. Like I said nothing against him, might sound like I have some vendetta or I'm secretly hating him, not at all, I just think it's proper stupid behaviour to buy all that stuff. It's not even just him, there are so many others I'm sure who just want £2000 SNES games for no reason to say they have it. Proper silly behaviour honestly. Also love the honesty too, about you was just buying for content so you have people watching, Cayle does the same, he's popped up out of nowhere showing off on Tik Tok that he bought Kuon and made over £1000 doing it. Just madness. RUclips game collector content is a massive cesspool of just people with too much time and money.

Fantastic video and great tips i fully agree about saying that if the children want stuff then they go and make money i have been doing reselling for 25 years + learnt from my brother we go auctions each week ,scan Facebook marketplace and buy and sell at the carboots never gone wrong with it always learning from videos like yours and i go to about 60- 70 charity shops each week and all i do is sell on the carboots or flip into cex or sell on Facebook marketplace cheers chris

My End Game is to Collect at the very least every title that was released in the PAL Region and than maybe expand later down the road for other region exclusive titles(i have a couple already) but the end game is to get the PAL releases first and than go from there. If i Recall their should be about 1100-1200 total and as of time of writing i have about 1/3 of them aka 400 PLUS I already managed to get a few titles that have started to explode in value. The HD collections i got most of em, The PSN Games im on the hunt before they are no longer available at the store. Im also trying to get some of the more expesive stuff and move downward, cause you know if they are already at that price, majority will double or triple within a decade. ( IF possible i try to get em cheaply as i can. I missed out on the PS1 and PS2 era of collecting but il at least make sure i have the entire set of this one while it is still mostly cheap to collect and before they all disappear. GL everyone.

We have seen a similar situation with another nice guy collector, Retro Rummage, Mitch, it got him down and he needed to break away, thankfully he has now returned. As I said to him, it’s difficult but stick the finger up to any sad pathetic haters, they got nothing in their lives so they go round stirring on social media. There are thousands that love your content, have a break, think of number 1 and I hope as others do the reset may get the fire burning again. sad to see you go mate but wish you the best and hope to see you back soon! also not sure if you have beef with tvm or rhetro ghetto for some reason but just remember that just because something works for someone doesnt mean it will work for everyone. you dont need to have a huge channel to enjoy it and in regards to negative comments and dislikes thats what made retro rummage take a break. but as i commented on his video you need to remember that most people who watch and enjoy your content dont comment. its like how people who get really good service in restaurants dont leave a review but if they get bad service they do.

This is real, a heartfelt real video - such a shame about the subject. Gutted you’re looking to give up. Maybe you have said what was the problem, u were buying stuff for the sake of it chasing views. That was never going to end well, most can see through when you’re not genuinely excited, interested and have the passion in the subject matter. Maybe just try doing RUclips for you, as a hobby- too many are chasing views, fame, money-if it comes, great but, if not then maybe it’s not for you. You come across on vid well, maybe retro is not for you on YT, u might just need to find your niche…maybe gym vids, your fitness journey etc? Wishing you all the best for the future😉👍

Never watched your videos before apart from a few secs here and there. If you're doing this to be an "influencer", you're going to have a bad time. Influencers are bogus, soulless husks who chase the latest trends just to try and get their viewershio up so that they can plug some crappy VPN or energy drink on their channel. There's no merit in that in my opinion. You shouldn't buy games for the sake of it, you should buy games you genuinely want. The authenticity will come through and ultimately make better content. It's why I like GentlemanofGames. But at least you're not TVM uploading a twenty minute whine about CeX staff...

Bro, take some time for yourself but keep your channel on RUclips. You have come so far and have grown so fast. I remember when you had 500 subs now 1.6k, that's huge in your time frame which proves people like your content and have stayed subscribed. You seem like a cool guy and were always positive. Totally understandable how you feel. But TVM gets wild abuse in his comments but the funny thing is is that even bad comments is engagement and boosts the algorithm. The problem with a 'free collection' is that it's not free on your time, or your cars gas usage, and editing time for each vid. It adds up. Sure, you get a voucher at the end of it, but you pay for it in blood sweat and tears. I tried with this handle to see if I liked content creation and decided that game content creation was not for me. Making animation stuff every now and then is what I'll do with it. While delving into content creation for research two views really profoundly affected me (in a good way.): A) We're not entitled to peoples precious time. B) Even negative feedback is interaction. With one YT asking people to leave likes AND dislikes etc, welcoming all interactivity. Harsh reality is that game collecting and esp. retro game collecting is a not so greatly sized audience pool. So getting any traction in it will likely take years the average I've seen for channels pulling 100k+ views for game/retro gaming collecting is 5 to ten years of life investment.
