We've been busy during the COVID-19 pandemic. We have built from scratch, a 2004 Peugeot Boxer into a modern DIY-built comfy Camper Van.
Vanlife is amazing! as a pensioner, I have a small printing business to generate funds to help build our vanlife Camper.
Our Van Build boasts some unique, clever, and thoughtful features, like a DIY Murphy bed, 2 flip-up tables giving working/eating areas, An amazing shower/slide-out toilet, and much more!

Jaunti is going through a happy phase now.. getting shelves sorted for those small but needed clothing items.
We also purchased a walkie talkie system for the communication on the road between our two cars, which makes more sense... Imagine having to dial Cindy on her cell phone to tell her there is a pot hole on the left of the road???
Too much time.. but with the walkie talkies. its a quick zip and its done...
"Pot hole left"... and Cindy is aware..
"Stopping at next Garage for a bite"...
Works very well... we love it.

Hi there, guys ... awesome to see you move to lithium... just a question: Is that charge controller definitely an MPPT controller. I got caught with a controller that had mppt in the name (could not see the one you showed), but it wasn't an mppt... batteries got damaged (does not happen immediately), just verbaizing so that you don't pay the same school fees as we did. Hi there.. I got this charge control unit from my son who is an expert in the solar world.. He is a known name in the solar installation game. Thank you for your concern there.. much appreciated. My boy said the previous setup was bad due to the charge controller over charging and letting the gel batteries over charge and blowup like balloons and burst the + and - fitting parts.

Nice one there Alfred..we have had solar since we started van life.. it was on our house roof and we upgraded the house solar so used the 600watts panels on Jaunti.. everything costs bucks lol! nice to have though.. get it asap ..well worth it.

Hi there guys, we really admire your tenacity doing the you tube thing, wishing you all the best. True SA vanlife is nearly, or seems, non existent. It certainly takes a lot more preparation. My wife and I have just completed 70 days on the east coast without any campsites. Anyway maybe some time we'll meet on the road.

@@davidkock8252 Ah we not finished yet.. still needing some stiching and then fitting. also a vinyl bag must be made and fitted to wrap the awning on the roof wrack for when we travel! stand by,.. al will be shown in another video.

Yeah! thanks you guys.we been toying with the full time thing for months, seems in a few months it will happen and be the right time as I am pensioning off..keep safe and warm there.. We might bump into esch other over the next couple of months who knows.

Place for your drinking cups, place for your phones, place for your glasses, phone chargers, a set of spoons, knives and forks in the cubbyhole, rollo towel, thermos, snack bag or cooler box accessible, lap tray, neck pillow, elbow pillow, pp bottle and ladies urinal, safe place for your valuables ... and you're good to go. Hahaha! thanks there..we will be fine..and lapping the jaunts up. Jaunti is comfortable and has shown it;s colours in the past, we have had some great jaunts around South Africa, now its getting real close to full time.... just pension time in a few weeks and getting past winter to start off. We have a few things to sort out - renter for house, Wedding to go to, and Jaunti maintenance.. but can be done.

A visit to a Dairy Farm in Irene, near Centurion... a place to go for a day trip!😌
That stream originates from the RIETVLEI DAM. The dam is fed by the RIETSPRUIT which again originates from the sewerage works just off the R25 KEMPTON PARK and Bapsfontein road. That foam is caused by sewerage water not properly cleaned from the sewerage works. You never mentioned THE STINKING SMELL of the spruit.
Wow thanks for the origination, never knew this.. smell? maybe the wind was blowing away from us.. didn't seem extravegantly bad at all. The cows smelt more from their droppings lol! thank you for this interesting angle and history, we will be back though.. to go to the deli side, we were at the barn side where we had lunch.
