I attended and completed a police advanced course about 12 years ago. The instructor was fantastic taught me so much and i do believe the training made me a much safer rider i also purchased the book motorcycle road craft that book is a wealth of information the book was reccomend by the trainer. Shame on you metropolitan for that action i think they spent all their money on Ai traffic surveillance.

Hi, I enjoyed your piece on bike safe. I did bike safe back in the 97 it was run by the Met Police. The venue was the Ace Cafe London. I wanted to find out what standard I was at with my riding experience. I was the oldest in the group, and I was riding a BMW R1200RT. I found the session very helpful. I was very enjoyable, and I was very pleased to know my riding was still at a high standard . I tried to book Bike safe earlier this year like you. I was surprised to find out that the Met Police had stopped the Bike Safe cause. I'm now nearly 70 years old. I ride a very large motorcycle Indian chieftain classic, and I still feel I would benefit me if I had feedback from a professional Police Motorcyclist. I've been riding for well over 50 years, and I take motorcycle safety training . Seriously, more motorcycle riders should go on bike safe it definitely safes lives.

Even when they dont get paid to do this, it will cost lives. But glad other stations are continue it. I choosed the psni theory online option cause practical clases were fully booked

Super. I will note I 'dragged' my route in a quite complex sequence to utilze small gravel roads between start and end points and Maps to GPX did GPX file creation just fine! Thanks for posting.

The shaping point zoom and fix feature in HERE maps before exporting is something I didn’t know about. Thank you for that! As far as separating MyRoute App with their turn by turn Nav, my guess is so you don’t have to pay for what you don’t use. If you plan your routes and move them to Garmin for navigating, you’re not on the hook to pay for their Nav too.

Works as far as importing to XT, then XT re-routes according to navigation preferences, so no exact tracking of GPX file.

Thanks once again for this wonderful video. I'm an Indian Air Force officer passionate about riding. Can you please suggest any other app apart from My route app ? as it gives only open street map for free version users. Since l live in lndia ,the open street map is very vague and unclear even for the routes l know. It doesn't show places in search icon unlike in Google. However thanks once again for this wonderful video.I made a small route map of my own on a known route. Would try it out riding on this route on my diet bike and would let you know,how it worked for me. I subscribed your channel and would wait for more such videos on creating my own route. BTC Would love if you could do a tutorial on lowrance HDS Live and upload a GPX file for navigation. I race and use my lowrance HDS12 and HDS 9 bot on the track (waypoints) and would love to have actual maps like google or garmin type for streets and highways....any help?

Great content, but unfortunately the export of the route from "Maps to GPX" isn't a stand alone GPX file, but a HTML file which I can't open with my SYGIC APP

The 'skip' function is actually quite handy in certain circumstances. Not every map recognises that from one shaping point to another there is a direct route, for example some maps might not recognise that a bridge or ferry crossing exists and it could possibly send you on a bit of an unnecessary diversion. The skip function allows you to 'straight line' the route the ferry or bridge takes and avoid unnecessary detours. The same applies to roads which may be showing on the map as closed or under construction but you know to be actually open and rideable. On the MRA support page, search for 'How do I prevent diversions at ferries and roads that are not recognised?' for a fuller explanation.
