Cher's TCM Tribute to Katharine Hepburn
A million years ago, Cher gave a lovely tribute to Kate for TCM. Then it completely fell off the face of the earth---until now.
Footage belongs to Turner. Voiceover belongs to Cher. But those Professional Filming Techniques™ belong to yours truly.

    @AmberStachoski We're old acquiantances. Can I ask if you're a lesbian? Delphine Seyrig is beautiful and interesting to me, on an unrelated note. Hey, I care about the film industry and the characteristics of people who end up being admired and entertaining to the public in different eras. So, as a purveyor of communication about humanities, I can engage. That I could talk with you or anyone with about, regardless of your sexuality. If you're searching for Prince Charming flying in to Buffalo to get to know you, sweeping your off your feet, making you coffee in the morning, etc. That... yeah, that's the one. I choose the second one. Hope you do too. Seyrig can be selved for the night for a straight woman. I picture your face in my most vivid of dreams since at least the selfie with the peace sign years ago. But I don't know who you are, except for being a lovable bitch with all kinds of boundaries. I want hook up, and I'd prefer some privacy for once instead of public comments to be deleted later. I may save this comment, though. How would you rate it on a scale from 1 to 999-999-9999?

    “The Philadelphia Story.” What a great film. It was Kate’s come back role and film. She did it on Broadway first. She owned the rights to the movie so she came back to Hollywood on her own terms. Oh...and I’ve been in love with Cher for nearly fifty years.

    Both Kate Hepburn and Orson Welles were contracted by RKO early on. And both were effectively screwed over by that studio.

    "mesmerized by her energy". a common thread said by many people who met her. She and her maid and butler nearly knocked me over as they loaded their car in east midtown/NYC back when I was in my mid-20s. they loaded up at least 200 lbs. of boxes, incl. a bicycle in under 90 seconds. and this was at last 5-6 years after ON GOLDEN POND.

    You know to be perfectly honest. I Have never seen Vanessa Redgrave in anything. Really. I don't know a thing about her! But I really don't understand how Cary was overlooked for so long!! I mean he's remembered better than anybody !! I've only seen Peter O'Toole in 2 movies (How to Steal a Million with Audrey) and (Lion in Winter) but I thought he was phenomenal in both. The Academy Should really have a different system for honoring..

  • @orhugs
    @orhugs 12 лет назад

    Geez!! Now I'm like I Have to find this !!! I'd say as far as her acting goes I loved her screw balls (of course) but for drama she KILLED in Lion in Winter (Oscar totally deserved) and The Glass Menagerie. I don't know why but she did drama better as she got older.

  • @orhugs

    By the way I've read the book. Over 75% of whats written in there has been disproven. Idiot.

  • @orhugs
    @orhugs 12 лет назад

    But you know what you epitomize her quote “I don't care what is written about me as long as it isn't true.” To ponder with you now, respect the great Kate.

  • @orhugs

    She died on June 29th 2003 surrounded by loving people. Now YOU read her autobiography. If you want to know about a woman whose character you could never dream of matching, and whose life outweighed your pathetic-ness. Would you rather spew false information that you don't know anything about? Things written by a non-authorized biographer. Read the one by A. Scott Berg. She allowed him into her home.

    The reason her head shook was due to Essential Tremor also called Palsy. She was then hospitalized in 1996 and became very weak and totally inactive. By 1997 she was not speaking and couldn't eat, they thought she would die very soon.Some people say they saw the beginning signs of dementia however she was never diagnoses nor tested because the signs were very general. In May 2003 they found a tumor in her neck which was growing very quickly she refused to be operated upon.

  • @orhugs
    @orhugs 12 лет назад

    It was not dementia nor Alzheimers. She did die of old age. She had a condition that made her head shake that's all. But overall she left this earth with quite dignity after allot of well made noise at 96 because it was her time <3
