@ after experiencing Caulfield you’re right, it needs major improvement if that’s the way of the future! It was like a cattle grid!

Not sure the test was out to east Paky, it was more that they needed the loop so the Evie remained trailing. Into the future they’ll have to put it in the middle or some other arrangement. If it was at Huntingdale that is normal running. You’ll see the trains do that a lot when they’re not in service or one in front is late.

The Metro Tunnel 1 is important to allow for more services across all lines since the city loop is at capacity. The suburban rail loop on the other hand is a big waste of money and only putting the state further in debt.

@@smarTarraY2000 Passenger numbers can improve. My (somewhat realistic) vision for the Stony Point line is having a service to Flinders St in peak hours (like the Alamein line), 45 minute frequencies both ways, a 2nd platform at Hastings, Leawarra, Baxter, and electrification to Baxter.

@gibbo_303 That's what I was thinking. The Stony Point trains would realistically stop at Frankston, Moorabbin, Caulfield, South Yarra and Richmond.
