WOW I wish you were still posting tips! Excellent video!
Do you have anymore of the anthurium crystallinum x warocqueanum , those are two beautiful anthuriums
Wasp worker can't eat directly food they catch. They rely on liquid the larva produces when they are fed chunks of insects brought to them by the worker wasp. When the larva is wiped out the workers quickly die, they run out of energy.
wrr
LOVE this so much. Question, why did you cut the puduncle off?
By taking the branch off, you doomed the nest. The ant queen is in a bigger, more ant-filled nest.
Love this! Lol, but when you said they need room to grow, and to "give them at least 15 cm across" in pot space?! Ha, mine would be so constricted in 15 cm pots. I know some people keep them in literal plastic deli cups, bc the type they have is a viner, going up a moss pole... so that's the "substrate", but even my mounted types need more space! Some of mine have attached to the wall or to wood, so can't imagine they're receiving much in the way of nutrition that way. They're just vigorous I guess. Mine need at least 30 cm across if not double that! I like to grow these crawling types in wide and shallow containers. Same with maranta and tradescantia. I even lucked out at the store and found a deal on low, wide, square shaped self-watering pots that get wider at the top. I guess that's called tapering at the base, huh... haha
These are Weaver ants, and are not dangerous to humans. BUT. They not only have HUGE NUMBERS, they can bite others and spew out the formic acid like you said. They can, if done right, even drive out fire ants or amry ants from invading and taking the nest over.. Alot of ant lovers are familiar with these species, and most people know the fire ants.
Wow! This was soo helpful. Thank you!
Can you make it flower? I have a giant taro, a native which is not variegated but is flowering.. My variegated Alocasia albo which looks like the microhirza is not yet flowering. I want to cross it though it has tens of offsprings near the stem, just like yours
This was sooo informative!!! You're awesome!!!
In Philippines the Ants Called Likha but not a Green Color its yellow. usually they Build Hibe in a Mango tree, Avocado, (Guyabano/Soursop). The Wasp Called Putakte or Lapinig in Other Province.
Regarding those stem cuttings - after a while, when a few leaves have popped and a new running stem has developed, what to do with the original stem from the old running stem? Mine has grown super wierd and the old stempart kind of has to be covered with soil for it to work. That old part is brown and hard. Is my plant going to rot if I let that old original stem sit under soil? I keep the new running stem above the substrate.
The weaver ants make massive structures if you know lord of the rings then that is healms deep
the green ant is call a weaver ants
What an amazing video! It is scary to see you cut all the chunks! lol Right now I am so sad that my tiny plant is all sick. I hope later with better weather it will come back again!
Alocasia Albo
I want one :)
I love it! I am planning to buy one of this if I can find the right prize
Tenho essa linda planta Também
Im pretty sure those are weaver ants
It's very expensive in Thailand now.
Great Video! Thanks a lot
You use green ants, but I use army ants.
This is the most assertive Australian thing I've ever seen ever. Having to use ants to get rid of larger more harmful pests sounds like the most dystopian hell hole for me but I'm glad yall can somehow embrace it as an everyday sort of thing. Much respect.
Hey great tips! Do they thrive in full sun?
Your videos are awesome and incredibly helpful. I wish there were more! Thank you 😊🌱👏👏👏🇳🇿
Subbed. Thank you! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🇳🇿

Great video thanks for sharing!
Thank you your video. One of the most realistic RUclipsrs I’ve come across 💗 ps do you sell the cutting?
Will the plants growing from the cut up bulb be smaller and weaker or equally strong and the same size?
They'll be just as the mother plant. The bulb will be getting bigger with time
They are also called weaver ants btw
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🙋
No respect for nature
Did you want her to use poison?
I love this video!
