UPDATE: Fanatec replaced the wheel base under warranty. Wheel makes this noise on startup, drives like car with broken suspension/steering lol.

UPDATE: Fanatec replaced the wheel base under warranty. Fanatec CSL Elite making noise on startup and lots of oscillation. Wheel is almost impossible to drive with, suddenly started fighting me while driving.

Final laps of the daily race, GTMX-callejon did a no stop strategy and I pit on lap 6. The Ferrari had superior straight line speed but the RSR has better exit speed, made for a fun battle. Slight contact on the final lap and I lifted to negate the advantage.

After a long day of adventurous eating and drinking around NYC, three friends decided to finish the night off at Buffalo Cantina in Brooklyn. Home of some of the worlds hottest hot wings, so hot that Man Vs Food gave up after one bite of the old challenge. The new challenge is 10x hotter.

Porsche 934.5 with a five speed gear box? 934.5 had four speed gear box and only 590hp with a single turbo. Maybe this is a replica, not an original 934.5? Also, when you loose a car, it's normal to try and catch it by steering into the spin, but as you rotate backwards, start neutralizing the steering wheel. If you had done this you could have steered left and held it off the wall. Instead you kept the wheel hard right the entire way, steering backwards into the wall.
I wasn’t the driver, it was our co driver. Yeah he messed up in multiple ways. Some of the old pros simply lack the situational awareness/feel for the higher power/grip brought with modern upgrades. 934.5 also came with 5 speed. The car was confirmed authentic by Porsche and showcased. It’s original but with more power thanks to modern improvements in turbos/engine management.

Thanks! Love that track/car combo. Thankfully I can’t take credit for putting it in the wall that day lol. Didn’t get a chance to drive it that day sadly. We sold it shortly after for other projects. I’m in the video of the older 73 RS replica at Spa.

I have the same problem but only ingame in every game that i play i have tried everything but ita so extreme oscilation that all gamea are undrivible
What settings are you running? My issue wasn’t really oscillation, least not the normal type that can be tuned out. If you share settings I can try to offer insight.

For one thing, it wasn’t me driving. And the other factor you’re unaware of, we started on slicks in the rain with the sky clearing we were going to stay out when it dried vs pitting like the rest. Had our driver not gotten too anxious the plan would have worked as the track dried and the rest pit for slicks. Would have been a easy win. The reason we weren’t as fast on the opening laps is simple. Slicks in the rain on ours while everyone else ran wet tires and had grip.

Hey, I have a question too maybe someone could help. My Csl Elite has really loud fan noise, some times even louder than my Ps4pro. Is this normal?
While driving yeah mines loud too, but I never hear it until I finish A race. It quiets down after a minute or two of not being driven tho

Alexis Mignon the CSL is fantastic for the money. They replaced mine under warranty and it worked great. I upgraded because I had the opportunity.

DRL must be negative or OFF.
vadimyakus that was DRI set to “off”. The vibrating noise at the beginning was the main issue along with the excess oscillation. Fanatec found it to be beyond repair and instead replaced it with a brand new base. It was undriveable.

Go into your menu and turn the drl to minus 02 or less I use 05 a positive e value is for drift this should be what's causing your wheel to osolate
Michael Mackenzie I always have DRI off. The problem wasn’t the oscillation, but the vibrating noise at the start and the excess oscillating beyond normal. The wheel was nearly undriveable, sent it in and they replaced it with a brand new base.

Hi John S, this oscillation behaviour is a normal characteristic of higher positive Drift Mode (DRI) values. The positive Drift Modes artificially accelerate the rotation of the wheel, so if you initiate a rotation but don't hold on to the wheel, it will oscillate due to the 'inertia' from the artificial acceleration. If you turn the Drift Mode down to 'Off' or into the negative values, and it is still doing this, then that is not normal, and it could be something that is resolvable with a firmware update. In terms of the noise, there can be some mechanical noise generation from the belt system. Please contact support to discuss this.
DomB_Fanatec this is with drift mode set to off. It does this in all settings.
DomB_Fanatec I also made a lengthy post on GTplanet detailing the issues in game. The wheel is undriveable unless you turn FOR/FF to minimum values, at which point the wheel is lifeless. It’s as if someone has a hand on the wheel and are trying to counter everything I do. And adding anything more than -2 to drift mode makes it extremely unrealistic in terms of correcting oversteer as now all inputs from the driver are delayed. It’s as if the FFB has gone berserk.

Kalle Sundqvist curbs + rain. Gearbox was fine, he just got too impatient. Car was running slicks in the rain hoping the track would dry within a few laps (it did) easy win tossed down the drain.

John S this shape never ran vf37 though they ran vf30 as standard. For vf37 you’d need to change sump, headers, turbo the lot. It was the blob JDM’s that were twin scroll. This is reinforced by the comment that it’s converted to 20g unless you’re running a twin scroll 20g along other all the other running gear from a later JDM?
Mr Ed 😂😂😂 dude this is my car. I know exactly what’s in it because I built it. It’s a JDM Ver8 motor which came with the twinscroll VF37. I had the stock VF37 sent to Deadbolt for a upgrade of the internals. I wasn’t happy with the results, so I eventually sent it to Blouch to be converted to a 1.5XTR-TS(twinscroll).
Mr Ed you are aware that people swap these motors right? There’s a lot of bugeyes running JDM motors with twin scroll.
John S there’s a difference between saying a car is JDM and just running a JDM motor. And yes I’ve had Imprezas for 11 years and had a TV featured car so I know a little bit 😉 ta. The industry term for this type of driving is turkey jerky as in hands flying all around like a real imbecile. The way you ride "candy cane lane" as it is commonly referred to in the industry is also an unprofessional move. I've been coaching racing for 50 years and the way you hit the corners so hard is commonly referred to "hard dip, back out sip". I'm unimpressed

I can feel the turbines spinning up coming out of a corner, massive turbo lag. :D
Very little lag in the dry. The reason it seems like lag is we were on slicks in the rain and waiting to get on the throttle ;)
