I’m currently in a relationship with a JW. I’ve told him since the beginning that I was not willing to convert because of religious trauma I’ve had in the past and he’s been so respectful of that and has not tried to convert me. But it gets hard when he expresses that he’s scared of what the outcome will be because he wants to remain a witness but also wants to be with me long term. His brother was disfellowshiped and on one of our dates he had his brother join us because he hasn’t seen him in so long and it broke my heart to see his family and friends be ashamed of him wanted to see his brother. I’ve told him that if he doesn’t want to continue with this relationship I will understand but to know that if he decides to pursue our relationship I will never leave his side and him and his brother will always be welcomed in my family. But it’s hard because we only see eachother once a month and he almost got caught seen with me. I don’t know how to go about this because I truly want to be with him. God wants us all to be happy so why should a religion permit us from being with someone who makes us happy even if they have different beliefs?

It is so very sad to learn how many Americans are stupidly caught up with religious superstition and magical thinking. Luckily, the statisticians at Pew, Gallup, PRRIZ and David Vroes explain that religious adherence is dropping off precipitously, in stepwise generational fashion. I expect that in 2 or 3 generations only about 10-15% of Americans will profess any religion. W. Europe, NZ, AUS, Canada, UK are reaching those stats much faster: anywhere there is a modern society AND the freedom to believe/disbelieve, religion seems to become irrelevant. I hope it is easier for people to overcome their irrational hatred’s when they are not indoctrinated in irrational and magical thought from childhood on.

Looking back there have been some significant changes to the way the jws function. I mean do the elders revisit their decisions to see how the organisation has changed and perhaps the accused would not have been harshly treated...or do they overwrite their memories and judge on current JW doctrinational standards.

Well Jesus is *Lord God Almighty* clothed in unsinful humanity and He is the author of *eternal life* to all who trust Him alone for salvation. He paid for all the sins of all the world at the cross (past, present, and future). That payment is put to your account when you have believed on Christ alone for salvation. This means that saving repentance is realizing that you are a sinner deserving of God's just punishment in Hell and turn (repent) from whatever you trusted in before, if indeed you trusted in anything; to trusting in the person and finished work of Christ alone for salvation. Yes Jesus physically arose from the dead, not some glorious spirit body.

I left in my mid thirties, im now 43 , you handled this amazingly well, its so frustrating to listen to how uninformed they are about everything, yet you are so conscientious and awake, i get angry when they say we are here to help , when clearly they are just puppets, every elder is the same. This video is a good reminder for me to be thankful for our socialism in sweden where we pay high taxes in order to cover these things for those in need. If the social services in your country can't help I'd also reccomend looking for support groups and charities geared towards similar issues.

That elder's callous comment about how stuck you were on the child abuse issue inadvertently revealed what an ungodly person he truly is. No concern for the little defenceless ones that Jesus cherished. What could possibly go wrong in an organisation driven by men like that who are callous at best or maybe even predatory themselves. Glad I left at 19 and lived/continue to live my best life.

Micro evolution(adaptations and natural selection) is undeniable. Macro evolution(one creature turning into another) is not, and is becoming more implausible the more we learn about DNA. Atheist scientists will tell you they have the missing link, and the answer to the origin of species, but they do not. DNA tells a completely different story, that Darwin would have had no way of knowing. DNA will eventually lead us to our origins, and it's clearly not billions, or millions of years ago.

If you look at the scope of time with the universe being 14 billion years old, the earth: 4.5 billion years old and humanity: 250,000 years old it seems that there is really no validity to creationism and everything is a long, slow, hard, and random process of evolution. The Bible is 2500 years old which why would God write a book way after the first humans?? Why does genetics and the fossil record disprove Adam and Eve? Why does the Bible refute itself within science and logic and it’s large and contradictory claims?? I would like to believe in God and Jesus and Heaven but my mind works off evidence rather than faith and the evidence doesn’t support the biblical creator at all. HE told me to guard my heart after the first speck and be already preserving the nearest chance to clean it. I wrote this down in a spiritual journal. The next chance i got to go to confession, a visiting Filipino priest I'd never before met said in the confessional these same words to me saying that the HOLY SPIRIT says, then saying what i had not yet spoken to anyone. Another time, i was on antibiotics, having one more pill i needed to take or they prescription would fail to have its final effect. I was in bed, falling asleep, then momentarily opened my eyes and saw the outline of JESUS looking like a light impression in the dark of my heavily curtained room: HE was standing in front of a desk looking down in one exact spot. As soon as I saw, i wondered what HIS Vision was staring at. I jumped up and turned my light on and in that spot that HE was looking was my last pill, and it was the exact time i was supposed to take it. Two men at a place i worked each were healed, one of a broken finger ( he admitted he was healed, then rationaluzed that maybe a broken finger can seem unhurt after a little more than a minute, then, when i asked, " So you weren't really injured?", he said he definitely healed from a brake that quickly - and later an atheist told me that former atheist was now a Christian since not ling after i had worked with him), and another smacked a girl on the backside, so i cursed his hand, and right after that, a weird accident in the freezer crushed his knuckles flat. The next day i heard in my heart to pray for him as i had for the other man, and he saud, "Well, we'll see!" I bevwr saw him again because he was fired that weekend for calling in sick, then being seen by the bosses wirking at the auction they attended. Another employee saud to me days later, "You healed Craig, hey?" I said, "Oh, he was healed? I never saw the outcome!" I also saw a dig i found in a state if rigor mortis came back to life on the Resurrection Sunday following Good Friday. I have no doubt.

Well let’s just take your first point of no evidence of the flood. Hinduism, Greek, Biblical, Mesopotamia, Cheyenne, Islam, Mayans, etc. cultures have very similar flood stories??? The people living around that time must be lying from all around the world… telling the same lie. Growth is part of life. It’s one thing if you’re religious and you like the fellowship and believing in god makes you happy, all of that is fine. But where i break down is on whether it is actually true. Given that the bible is inconsistent with physics, biology, paleontology, geology, astronomy, anthropology, genetics, physiology, and chemistry, it’s easy enough to conclude it is not. And given the bible’s high regard for sacrifice and other primitive moral short-sights that is probably a good thing.
