Hello everyone,
This is a video I made due to my new purchase of a Roborock S7. This one keeps telling me "Error 2 : Bumper stuck". I contacted the customer service who asked me to do a video of the issue, and there it is.
I will keep updated how I solve this problem.

These hacks are great. Especially because this company Roborock does not respect manufacturer warranty. They will go to any extent to defend their place and not accept plain functional design faults. These robotic vacuums are investments for and the returns are poor if one cannot use it for at least 3 years. I would rather buy some of the standard ones which have offices in your local region. There is no way you are going to get a China based company to sort your problem out.
Anyone fix this? Bought brand new from Amazon and having this issue right out the box.

@@sidwomack3322 I think I contacted customer service and swapped it for another and didn't have issues on the replacement.

Edit: Of course i tried all the measures like cleaning the bumper and blowing it with a hairdryer and restoring factory settings and trining the latest firmware and all that stuff. Nothing worked. And the build in test, shows that the bumper sensors left and right are ok and the laser bumper too. All tests passed.
Same problem here. Please share with us, if theres a solution. My Roboorock is showing the exact same behaviour. Had anyone successfully claimed this to Roborock? Seems that the support is proposing only trivial measures and thats it. But i guess they know that they have a really big problem and hopefully behind the scenes, they are hardly working on it. But what should we do for now, just then that the support could`t help and a repair and replacement doesn`t even guarantee success?

I was waiting ROBOROCK s7 long time. But it is a disappointment exactly because of error 2
So sorry to hear this. For most people this is a purchase that is not easily made. And, I know some who have them status post accidents. For example sweeping and mopping if EXTREMELY painful and taxing for some. I hope they fix it for you.

THIS IS HOW YOU FIX THIS: just press on the middle part ( where the symbol Z is or something ) try to touch it around and that's it. I was facing the same problem but now it's all fine because i was just messing around :) Hope this helps
Did you try tapping the LiDAR Sensor? The LiDAR Cover acts as a bump sensor as well, so it could be jammed and confused, flashing the error 2 message.

Same issue. I have made a similar video for the support service, after that they asked me to send back the unit for repairs. I've sent back for the seller more than a week ago, now I'm waiting for the repaired unit...
Did you buy I.t from Roborock ? I mean not Amazon or other seller? Just curious.

I have the same problem. It seems to be that the error only comes when "pushing" on furniture (like in your video) which are not closed: 2-3cm height on the floor, then a hole. I hope I describe it the right way. The Roborock wants to drive through, but the 2-3cm on the floor prevents him from doing so. So he "thinks" that something is wrong with the bumper. In my house I have 3 furnitures like that and only here is the error....
I tried it again: Furniture should be at least as high as the Roborock. I only have this error with furniture less high. Fixed it with the "invisible wall".... BUT: This is a software bug in my opinion!
I share this point of view. The Roborock always fails in the same zones, when something is not well analyzed and even without any shock on the bumper
Got the same error, day 2 of cleaning!
Last updates help a bit but the main issue remains. This is not capable to learn from previous difficulties to adjust its path on some areas where the error 2 bug occurs

facing the same problem, after unbox n test, working fine, error start coming after 1st software update, when 2nd update, become worse, it possible for hard reset with old software??
