I'm Ani. I am currently living in Prague. Arts have always been part of my life. Through this channel I would like to show you how I use my creativity. I will try to share my experiences and hope to help others.

Sketchbook tour (2023 Oct - 2025 Jan)
My second finished sketchbook, and the first A4 I ever finished. I started it during my art workshop, so the beginning is portrait heavy. Trying out different materials, time limits. Working from life, also from photographs, or following tutorials. In February 2024 I joined Emma Carlisle's patreon, so later I started using it for these sessions. And the variety of subject matter changed, and as you can see, my style of sketching also changed. I became looser in my style, using the sketchbook not only to create beautiful art, but also to practice line drawing, drawing with the non-dominant hand, using both hands. I would like to end this 7 day series with a loose flower painting. I like dandelions and I painted them a long time ago. I used acrylic paints and add some loose marks with neocolor pastels. You can paint any flower you like, just remember one thing: be loose. Using a larger brush size can help. When I studied Matisse's colours last time, I was overwhelmed with a lot of colours, so today I decided to limit my palette. I chose 4 colours (then added one more at the end). Hi, Anita! I enjoyed this series. I liked all but I think my favourite was "Heron" because of the contrast in colours. For this last one I've chosen tulips. Maybe a topic for next time could be playing with landscape composition? Or practicing with markers? Until a next video! 😊

Very nice! It's always interesting to study the masters. Some weeks ago I painted a van Gogh's portrait using colour pencils and I learned about his use of colour. I will try this Matisse now. Thanks for sharing. 😊
