How to remove Gen 6 2020+ Subaru Outback Fog lights.
I couldn't find a video for this process, so I made a quick and dirty version. Hope it helps somebody else.
I have spoken with Lamin-x and they said their films are intended to be installed without removing any part on your car. So please ignore my comments about their film fitment. Just know that it might be easier to buy their universal film and trimming it, if you intend to remove your lights for tint film install.

My second time at Hawk's Ridge. This is the easy full outside trail, minus about the last minute (in order to fit on RUclips), but thats pretty much a simple straight back to the trail head.

Great plane. Painted a hideous blue that was never used by the Navy on any Corsair. That's what happens when the rich clueless owner goes to Sherwin Williams and says "Gimme blue".
At what altitude does the Corsair reach its maximum possible achievable True Airspeed in straight and level flight? Does anyone know? Thanks.
Lol i did this without uninstalling that...i just placed the film frm the outside...turned out ok

I got the 2nd on off relatively easily and was able to repair the 1st one with a 2 part epoxy. Film installed and looking good. Thanks for the video!
I installed mine without removing the fog lamps and it worked perfectly. I did do a wet install and they went on great.
Hello I have a question since you remove the whole thing is there a way to replace the LED for a much brighter one I did the film but not happy with the light output I will like to make it brighter ?
I didn't look into that, sorry.
A quick Google search looks like there is at least 1 aftermarket option for replacement fog lights, but that the bulbs are not replaceable.

I hit a 2x4 on the freeway and now my fog light is all loose, I am having a hard time removing the top pin tho.
The top of my driver’s side fog light came loose and projecting the beam every which way. Seeing that it’s a plastic pop panel plug, I’m hopeful it’ll be an easier repair. This video helped me get an idea of what I needed to do.

My dad flew the Corsair in the South Pacific durning WWII. The stories he would share of flying were wonderful. I have no doubt.. he is flying one now in Heaven

For those of you who may be curious/concerned about the “burning oil” smoke coming out of the pipes as the engine fired up, that’s because these engines aren’t as tightly built as modern piston airplane and car engines are.
the smoke is from the rich fuel setting used to fire them up.
@@BILLYLAMB76 That’s the black smoke from soot. I’m talking about the blueish colored smoke.

Worked on and flew in F4 Phantoms, this F4U1 Corsair is beautiful.
I never got to fly or ride in it but I got to sit in it and mess with the controls of a P-51D and it was such a thrill, the super charger had a setting that read "wartime use only". You can tell that engine is perfectly tuned!

Just wanted to add this. The Pratt and Whitney engines were also made in Connecticut
The Corsair was built in Stratford,Connecticut
As was the Pratt and Whitney Engines
Imagine what would happen if the pilot folds the wing mid air.

When I hit the Mega, 2 F4U-5's will be in the hanger......with a mechanic of course.
When all those cylinders decide to cooperate and be team players......man what a sound!
You have to pull the choke out while cranking it.

Pumping out a bit of oil from the lower cylinders, I would shut down and pulled the spark plugs to check those cylinders.
She's currently going through an annual, so any issues should be found out. Though she's flown many times since this startup, without much issue and relatively normal oil use.

All radials smoke on lower cylinders on startup. It’s normal ops
@@frankbutaric3565 TRue, that's why the large radials were rotated by ground crew to pump the oil out of cylinders.
