For me, I really need this type of depth map generation now since I’m using more complicated AI images instead of bas-reliefs. The Zoedepth method doesn’t work as well for those. It’s pretty much a case of "horses for courses," as they say! :)

Mate it has changed my 3d printing! I'm getting a lot better results and can do a lot more images i couldn't before, well worth having a look or test to see if it would help with your lasering :)

Hey Jumping mate, yes, you can reuse it, you just have to scrape out the burnt black parts after the pour, you loss a bit every pour but as long as its not black you can re use it :)

I have done both ways, i prefer pouring down vertical, i seem to get a better result, as i think the weight of the metal pushes down better and gets in all the areas, when i do a flat pour with a sprue through the back of the sand i sometimes get loss to the edges of the pour, just really depends on the subject matter, i do use both methods.

@@SilverPunkPour He still poured down vertically, but instead of entering the cavity on the thin edge, the metal entered in the back next to the top edge.

@@SilverPunkPour amazing - i saw the video - the problem is that my original photo is not very how to say it "relief like" - its just my doggo laying in the middle of my bed - i need something that will make my photo look like a bas relief - smooth and relief like ... if you have any suggestions i would love to see them

Photoshop doesnt seem to have the "color to alpha", but there are videos on how to work around it if you can figure it out.
