This girl is a sassy ajebo. Alot of my friends back then use to always ask her out and to be friends with her, but she's fucking rude and a great snub. Lucky you have a home to go back to. I got my Canadian citizenship in 2006 and as soon as I got it, my home country cancelled my original citizenship. I dont regret the decision but now people are leaving Canada. I too want to leave Canada. Canada is not the place for comfort anymore.

Do what you want it is your life

This will not be popular! Firstly, it's apparent you have a comfortable background....and since your bridges were not burnt, you could easily slide right back to your comfort zone (home in naija). Secondly, you mentioned there were apparent routes you could have explored to remain in Canada, but did not give any reason why you didn't. Moving to a foreign land is TOUGH, staying in that land to conquer the odds against one is even tougher....hence the first quality to muster in such a situation is RESILIENCE! Another word for that is FAITH...it helps to overcome any tough situation...another quality is NETWORKING! Also known as social interactions...one mistake a lot of immigrants make is sticking with the Nigerian (same ethnic) they're from,..spread your wings and soar...make intentional connections...seek mentorship intentionally and be courageous to be vulnerable.. The pressures out there can take a toll on one's mental health for real and hence the need to be intentional about these things... Hebrews 11:15, speaks to these things... When life throws us lemons, we make lemonade...when life throws us stones, we build castles! May you find peace and fulfillment in all your pursuits.
