Survive a Knife Attack - How Hard Could it Be? 4K
Cutting edge and puncture weapons have been around since the dawn of mankind. If we have advanced so much why do we still have use of such primitive style weapons? Answer - Because they simple and effective. Up close there is no greater threat.
We hear it said all the time how taking away firearms will make our country and communities safer. But is it true?
Let's do an in-depth dive into the reality of knives and puncture weapons to separate truth from fiction.
“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself,...

      That is the best use cases for them. But as many reputable manufactures have proven they can be highly dependable and widely effective at stopping various rifle and pistol rounds. In my opinion, if you get shot in the helmet and survive there's a reason God wants you to still be around. After the Whiplash subsides of course.

      @@mississippimudactual I have seen them stop some cartridges, but it seems to be all luck in real life. Odds are if you are wearing one of those, the chances of rifle fire coming your way is higher than 9mm. Regardless, I'd rather have one. 🤣 I remember SWAT used to rock Pro-Tec skateboard helmets with nvgs screwed on.

    Great video but in general practice nobody should ever buy from anyone who's a Chinese manufacturer. This includes this company, heard head veterans, and holosun. These companies use the US to improve their armor for the PLA and use US citizens to flip the bill.

    • @mississippimudactual
      @mississippimudactual 6 месяцев назад

      I agree we should not be supporting non friendly countries whenever possible. I do have two Holosun red dots on two pistols primarily because I prefer them to the Trijicons for price, function, ease of use, and superior design (it should be noted however that Trijicons are battle tested). For instance, the Holosun pistol red dots solar charge and allow the user to swap a battery without removing the sight. All the Trijicons I own require me to remove them every year (I do it every 10 months so it doesnt Murphy on me) to swap the battery and re-zero my sight. Not terrible but it takes more time and resources to accomplish. Do you have a source that you could pass along about Hard Head Veterans that shows their helmets are made in China? I have not seen anything to that effect. I am not close minded and would welcome any information I can verify for myself. Thank you in advance.

      This was hard to decipher due to the poor writing quality but what I assume your point is that you have no point and are being a douche. People that say no hate just truth are rarely speaking the truth. Here’s why I don’t believe you. A gun belt is a tool. Not sure what you think I possibly said that made you believe I was saying a gun belt made me something more…. I definitely harped on practice and training. I can run perfectly well and for long distances. I was a Combatives instructor (hand to hand fighting) in the military and continue to train on those skills to this day. No flex just facts. I am not 20 years old anymore and obviously don’t have 8 hours a day to workout like I used to when I worked for the military. Haha, I appreciate your “helpful”advice but I’d recommend you focus on the content of the video which was to show an awesome piece of gear that I feel needs to have a light shown on it for being outstanding.

    • @mississippimudactual
      @mississippimudactual Год назад

      To be clear to your point, there is absolutely no substitute to live fire with the platform you’re training on. To that end, there’s so many important aspects to training that don’t require the exact recoil of live fire. Dry fire drills are no less relevant as a training tool because they lack recoil. As I said in the video it is an outstanding reflex and muscle memory tool. In the military they had us do it with BFAs and say pew pew pew. Especially since we all hated cleaning our weapons after blanks. The simunition is terrible to train with especially force on force. The safety is regulated to death, leading to depleted training value. The pistol I showed is a gas operated recoil pistol. I highly recommend you look into them for yourself. There’s airsoft and then there’s MILSIM. These aren’t plastic guns from Walmart. To the same extent they aren’t real guns either. These can be used and practiced with in a suburban backyard with little cost and no major dangers in training with it. It can be used indoors at home if you don’t mind cleaning up bbs. Fired in a garage even. No substitute to live fire but there’s 100% value in the training aspect. Good consistent training equals polished performance. You don’t rise to the occasion when your adrenaline levels spike, you fall back on your trained skills.

      Good point about the price. I think a lot of people myself included are attracted to it by the notion that everything it seems is made in China and if you can get it from a reputable source it could be much cheaper. But that’s like getting your prescription medicine from a drug dealer instead of buying from a reputable pharmacy. China is definitely less reputable than a street drug dealer. That’s why I bought it at least. I was lured in by the price and thought I could get it for less. But in the end this is a piece of pro gear that has to work when you need it to.

    Bit of a correction on your statement about helmets not being designed to stop pistol rounds. An NIJ IIIA helmet is designed to stop up to a 44 magnum fired at around 1400 FPS. This information should be published in the open in what's known as a V50 Ballistic Test, and a Ballistic Penetration Test. While there is (unfortunately) no NIJ Certification for ballistic helmets, you should still be able to obtain NIJ test results from any manufacturer, as all helmets should be tested against the NIJ Standards. Your results with the subsonic .22LR are indicative of a fiberglass helmet wrapped in two individual layers of aramid. Those two layers of aramid are more effort than most of these knock-off brands usually use. You're also shooting near the crown, which is supposed to be the strongest point of the helmet because that's where the material is the strongest. It's a shame that Google and Meta allow these companies to falsely advertise their products in this way. We've been speaking to them about this for what feels like ages now. Always check for publicly published NIJ test results from an accredited 3rd party lab when you're looking at helmets. If this information isn't freely available in a PDF format from the accredited lab, chances are the tests were never conducted or the manufacturer is concealing information. Very well done video Mississippi Mud.

Either way getting shot in the helmet is a crap day all the way around. Getting hit in the helmet would rock your world even if it doesn’t penetrate. You’d be grateful it caught it but that shock might just as likely lead to a lull in your return fire and lead you to become a lead sponge.
