I've had mine since 2018. Love it more every year. Only maintenance I've done is oil changes and tires. It a never let me down. Got an Alaska trip planned for 2026.

The only and only thing i don't like on this bike is the clutch basket, for the rest is just about the sweetspot for me.

I use to own one of these. Camera quality footage was trash. Sold it, and went with Runcam for arisoft. Better quality footage, more versetile.

Got one. 95,000km and counting. Traction control permanently turned off. ABS too intrusive. Fuel consumption matches throttle input and can be heavy if you're going hard, so range is an issue sometimes. Off road it's a total weapon and a ton of fun. On road, sport bikes hate me when it stays with em in the twisties. Two up is good. Wouldn't mind the new model with cruise control, but that means selling this one and paying the difference. So, I can live just fine without that option. Not planning on getting rid of it any time soon. Happy trails

Instead of pulling the abs fuse, just mount a switch. Also: my 2008 v-strom 1000 easily reaches 130mph unmodified. Sounds strange that you only reach 120mph.

Where you get the complete kit? I see one on Amazon it's OEM but it doesn't show the brackets,bolts,or springs.

My V strom 2014 is with 47.000 km and still like 1st day. 90% I am driving on roads.. AMAZING Bike.. Full with sw motech upgrades. Sw motech alu "Koffer" are after 47tkm like new.

Hi josh, I just installed this windscreen on my 2018 vstrom 1000xt. When I max turn the handlebars left and right, my OEM hand guards hit this windscreen. Do you also have this issue?

Thanks for the video. Eventhough the company is out of business, the Ion can still be bought at some discounters, at least in the Netherlands. I bought the ION 3 Pro, including 4 accesories for 9 Euro (around $10) and it seems to be working normally. It also probably has the older firmware since i can playback all video's i make with it. Looking at the comments, im glad i didnt update the firmware.

Dude, only 1700 miles in a year!?! I bought a 2006 on Saturday, 3 days ago, and have already put on 400. Lovely bike and kit but you spent a lot of money accessorizing before really knowing your needs…

Great review. The only thing I would differ on is the fact that traction control really is very useful in the rain. I ride all year round in all weather, so I use traction control in the winter months and it’s very helpful.

You need there electric jacket and good merinowool underwears.Then it is just normal day. But maybe little slower still.From north 🇫🇮

I have one (04)And still working good...I suggest that you put moore weight to front wheel .Sorry to say....Throw those side bannier away and put smaller soft banniers instead...Then you can find some moore miles....without gasstation. It is bad for bike to be so top heavy....

How on earth did you manage this? I have a 2018 v Strom 1000. I bought Rox 2” risers. And there is literally no way I can pull any slack from the cables. But in this video you just pull the bars up like magic? Lol how did you accomplish this?

Hi Josh, that bike sounds like it needs zero work doing to it. Just ride it until you have done 100 thousand miles and then do a rebuild. (you could do with a bit more charge in the battery for your ABS lights to stop flashing.)

Good to see you got your baby back. I often hear people wish that they still had their first really nice bike. I consider myself fortunate to still have my first Harley, now with 300k miles on it. Other bikes have come and gone, but that one stays. Like you said, "the memories". I'm wondering though; what are those 2 orange lights on the instrument panel? They flashed alternately, up and down all the time that you were riding.
