I wish there were ways to listen to these for free, there are way too many to pay for all of these.

I love Evelyn Smythe
6:05 You can hear the Zippy from Rainbow in Roy Skelton's voice.
Was Adric's death scene redone? The FX of the ship crashing looked pretty slick for the time and budget
Yeah this was from the DVD Special Edition - new SFX
Great videos, some fantastic moments from Classic Who! 👏 Great choices. I hope there's another video or two in the works 🙏😊 If I could pick one for each Doctor (1-8) that hasn't come up yet... First Doctor - The Rescue : scene between him and 'Koquillion'. Second Doctor - The Enemy of the World : When Salamander is in the Tardis. Third Doctor - Planet of the Daleks : Courage speech. Fourth Doctor - The Hand of Evil : The goodbye with Sarah Jane. Fifth Doctor - The Five Doctors : Final scene of the story. Sixth Doctor - Attack of the Cybermen : Final Scene of the story. Seventh Doctor - Survival : Worlds out there speech. Eighth Doctor - Night of the Doctor : I'm a Doctor, but probably not the one you're expecting.
Always something in the works - as JNT would say: Stay Tuned!
"no little green blobs in bonded polycarbide armor" was a great line for the Doctor.
I still remember, as a child watching the show, seeing Adric die. I cried and cried, it was so unfair. As an adult now, looking back on this, it's still so so unfair. He had a special badge for mathematical excellence. I always loved maths, was good at it. Still am today. So so unfair.
Nice recommendation!
One that is overlooked is the ending of the Nightmare of Eden: Tryst is trying to justify his selling the addicitive drug Vraxoin by saying he is using th emoney to pay for preserving ecosystems and that peopel became addicts by choice. The Doctor simply dismisses him with "Just - go away".
Was it only me that was glad to see the back of Adric?
No
no not only you
The Genesis of the Daleks clip was indeed great moment for Dr Who - another fantastic scene in that story was when the Doctor & Davros are together alone after the Doctor has been forced to reveal how the Daleks later failed throughout history, & Davros is triumphant. The Doctor threatens to turn off his life support system. Interesting that Davros is one of the few beings (should I say humans?) that the Dr is prepared to kill (2 or 3 times) A bit less Sylvester McCoy & Ace would improve this list mightily.
The Caves Of Androzani was one hell of a story and one of my favorite top 10. The banter between 2 and 3 is absolute classic Doctor Who gold and it was a shame we didn't see these two together until 1983 in the 5 Doctors.
Peter avison turns in what has to be his best perforance of his era. But the real star of the story is Christopher Gable's Sharaz Jeck. The intensity of emotion he manages to project despite his face being concealed behind a mask is marvellous, and on a par with Wisher's Davros.
I didn’t realize till watching this how Jo’s exit must have reminded him of Susan. Best classic speech is definitely “have I the right” in genesis though.
Earthshocks great moment was the Doctor using the ship's computerr to seal the bridge from the advancing cybermen, embedding one of them in the sealing material!
I've just thought of another one - Maaga's "Then they _die_ " speech from "Airlock" in "Galaxy Four".
If there's a second video, I'd nominate Tom Baker's Homo Sapiens speech from "The Ark in Space". Besides being a brilliant speech in it's own right, it was the moment when 11 year old me forgave him for not being Jon Pertwee.
So glad the farewell to Susan is not one of the lost media.
Nicely done. I don't have a particular order, but my favorites would include the end of Inferno part 6 when Pertwee escapes as the parallel Earth succumbs to fire, the jump rope scene in Robot, and when Tom spars with Davros in Genesis.
Any scene with Michael Wisher's Davros could make the list. I know Terry Molloy and Julian Bleach are the fan favourites, but Michael Wisher was incredible in the part. His only physical movement was his mouth and his lower arm. He remained otherwise immobile, yet dominated every scene he was in. I think it's because of his extraordinary performance that I've always thought of Davros as an unnecessary inclusion in later Dalek stories and tire of him very quickly. Basically he spoiled me for any other Davros!
Jon and Patrick were great Doctors. xx
The banter between them was out of this world, pun intended. 🌌
It really upset me when Tom left the show. It just wasn't the same xx
Thank Gawd! It was a million times better without his asides to camera, pathetic Christmas cracker gags and always 'shushing' the companions when they were halfway through a sentence.
Most of these don't cut it for me. Well, everyone's different. But for me, any Greatest Moments set that doesn't have the moment in the Capitol where Tom Baker turns round and realises that the Vardans weren't his main problem, doesn't have anything.
We are all different. The only bit of that story I enjoyed was when the Sontaran fell over the Doctor's sun lounger. Hey! Why wasn't that here?
@@Benjiesbeenbetter. Ah, but did you first watch the story when you were 7?
@kingbolo4579 You got me there. I was a cynical 14 year old with delusions of maturity.
There's the 4th Dorctor's goodbye to Sarah Jane as well - they were good at the farewell scenes. Adric's death was pretty tragic - I remember there was no music in the credits after that, so it really was a shock (though not quite as bad as Blakes 7 brutally killing off all the heroes in the final scene. That was quite traumatic)
Yes, Sarah Jane Smith's leaving should be on the list.
I remember watching this in 1975, and was laughing out loud.
Damn the first four Doctor’s were so good, so different from each other and brilliantly acted. Peter Davison was great too in his way.
Davison was disadvantaged by the production during his time. JNT had no idea how to run the show. He was more concerned with showbiz pizazz and celeb casting. When the writer of The Awakening got stuck and was struggling to complete four episodes, JNT said "It's ok, give us what you've got and we'll do it as a two oarter instead".
Colin Baker was fantastic, far better than boring Davison.
another great selection
Thank you!!
Excellent selections! I concur with all of these choices. I would also nominate Colin Baker’s Time Lord corruption rant, Hartnell’s speech in the Aztecs about changing history, and McCoy’s cafe scene in Remembrance of the Daleks.
Again all great moments! I wonder if I feel second video coming on...?
I'd nominate any scene with Colin Baker falling over. He was damned good at it.
@Benjiesbeenbetter. Well he wasn't as dainty and feeble as Davison, who constantly moaned about having to carry Nicola Bryant. Not one other actor who had to do likewise joined in... Colin Baker, Christopher Gable, John Stratton or Brian Blessed.
@@rnw2739 Eeh, that Peri. Always being carried around. A right idle madam, wasn't she?
Ridiculous that there was no Sixth Doctor moment but TWO utterly bland Seventh Doctor entries.....
What Six moment would you have chosen?
@gallifreyan11 There's several to choose from: 1. The Sixth Doctor tells the High Council how corrupt they are from 'The Ultimate Foe' part one. 2. Peri's 'death' from 'Mindwarp' part four. 3. The Doctor trying to explain the importance of life to Drathro from 'The Mysterious Planet' part four.
I just try and forget about the Sixth Doctor.
@jovetj Good luck! He's bigger than ever and it's only saps who dislike him anyway....
@@rnw2739 Bigger than ever? I know Colin Baker got fat, but that's just not nice to say. 😏😉
loved it, glad the Peter Cushing films a final getting the love they deserve
Thank you! And absolutely, sometimes they're the forgotten cousin in the franchise but I love them both
Great Choices.
I'm unable to select a specific one as they're all good
That’s the beauty of this amazing show!
The 4th's speech in Genesis Of The Daleks is the so freakin good.
This sounds super interesting and I will definitely have to give it a listen
Please do. I'd love to hear your thoughts
@@gallifreyan11 I finally got round to giving it a listen and it was so good. I really enjoyed it. To my shame I haven't seen nearly enough classic who but I do love Ace and the Seventh Doctor and they are just brilliant here. Thanks for a great recommendation
@@Pencliffso glad you enjoyed it! This one really is a gem in the early releases.
Brilliant
Thank you!
The Green Death breaks my heart...
Mine too 😢
Imagine a scene like that in almost any drama today. It'd be tears, speeches, and enough ham to make finger rolls for a very large buffet.
This is a great idea I look forward to more recommendations
Thank you! I'm already at work on the next episode...
Well done.. It is a nice little self contained story.. And episode 4 guarantees a smile
I’m totally foreign to the BF audios, plus their range gets scarier every year, so thanks for the recommendation!
Thank you for watching! That's exactly the reason I had to idea to make this series - it can be so intimidating choosing just where r I start.
Love this! Brilliant!
Thank you so much it's really appreciated!
Fantastic video for Big Finish newbies!
Thank you so much!
