Hello Mr Coddleshire! i wanted to ask if you still have the device that you played this game on because me and my friends got to find an server that seems to host the game files, currently we only got to find some of the game assets that were used in the mobile version, but we didnt got to find the Adobe Flash content (main content), the reason for this is because the server directories location is different from the original server, but the files are still the same, so if you still have the device that you played this game on could you check your browser and possibly send the cache content for it? it will help us a LOT on finding the server content and assets again! and because of this, the game will be playable again (probably), if you got it i would like to know on how can i contact you to get the files. Thanks!

I wanted to ask, if I betray a city, grind out the 10 000 reputation needed, but do not do the citizenship after that, can I still access the new city normally, use all its merchants and quests? Losing access to the recall spot is not a dealbreaker for me, provided it is the only downside. (I am asking in case I want to keep my original Class, but still play in the new city and faction)

What 2006 version? Cause the Fallen Dynasty patch in 2006 ruined crafting and so if it's post that, I have no interest. Also I remember in Feb of that year they changed the class system too.... So it wouldn't be origins if it didn't have the old class system. And are all the voice overs back? But I dunno seeing this video and how dead it is, that's pretty sad. I remember in beta and the early days the city was ram packed and that gave it so much life.

Cash shop is bad and will just push people away to where the Origin Server will population die and be left to hardcore paying players.

Woot, totally missed this one! Been a bit sick lately, but I'll chime in right now! I like how folks are loving the new Origins server. Btw, in the EQ2 forums a ton of ppl are asking for the powers that be to take things slowly with this server. Many of us oldschool folks just wanna take the time to smell the roses in today's fast and ever evolving landscape of gaming, and this server has a ton of potential.

Looking forward to returning to EQ2 with this server, but nothing takes wind out of the sails like cash shop.

It’s amazing how my brain upscales old games. Like, in my memory from EQ2 launch it was near photorealistic and seeing this now completely destroys that. Not the first nor the last time it’ll happen either lol

Great video, pretty much completely agree on all points about the "up for consideration" stuff on the cash shop. I'm not convinced that they "get it" on what actually makes a classic experience special. In 2006 we couldn't buy all that stuff, so seeing cool things in game meant the player earned them by playing the game, and negating that is a huge part of the experience, conscious or not. Mounts are absolutely pay to win, especially on a TLE. They also look ridiculous and change the tone of the world. Best case scenario they add a level requirement, but they won't. XP pots are garbage but I'm guessing there's no wiggle room there either. Just seeing the things slipping already makes me less and less excited for the TLE.

Those over the top mounts that you find in live are going to make Origins look like a circus... bleh... 🤮 Really hope they reconsider and not allow those non era mounts into Origins.

Woot, I was streaming the game the other day as a fixed live cam with music etc. and I had the in-game chat enabled because it's interesting to see what folks talk about and the ppl in the chat were talking about how they don't want a cash shop etc. and each had their reasons, with some focusing on the Krono part that they don't like, but the general consensus was that they don't want a cash shop on a classic server that's meant to make you feel like it's 2006 again. Imo, there was no cash shop back then and so there shouldn't be one today on Origins, not even for cosmetic or fluff stuff.

this was perfection. right down to the purposely out of sync audio. btw play a necro and you wont need to /c !

meh this server disappoints me like the EQ1 TLPs.... the era is locked but the content is nerfed to easymode because the mechanics are not reverted. the gameplay experience is drastically different. passing on this server. really got a lot of hope for the EQ2 emu project.
