I have just bought a guitar with H4`s, I really like the sound as it`s balanced but I don`t know why on my other guitars the stock passive Jackson pickups are much more powerful .

To me, they're similar in terms of voicing, but 81 has more gain. I'd go with h4 and booster like pa2. Such combo would be more flexible than just 81

I was torn between the VEH and FAT PAT, but figured if I rise the VEH I'd get that super big low end of the FAT PAT (which I noticed specially in the clean parts); thank you so much :D I really liked the POWER RAILS too, wondering if they'd open up a bit clean if the volume was rolled back

VEH is more betterer

The VEH pickups sounded best, with Crunchy Rail, and Power Rail being solid options, a neck model of these with a alnico 5 in bridge would sound great.

One week later with my Lefty....still a nice Strat with it's own feel, flavor...unique...sweet tone. While not a refined pricey Italian tuxedo....more like your favorite pair of jeans. I'm a Tele guy...got some high end Strats, including an awesome LSL Saticoy. This SE....love it, lots!

The difference is subtle but the 81 has more crunch and crisp hi end and the passive pickups sounds muddy.

Okay D Man, I was going to go for some crazy expensive actives for my Jem Jr project, but along the way someone suggested GFS actives and I scoffed, high on my snobbery and attitude. This cleared it up for me and yes, GFS will go into my Jem Jr as they come in white. Sounding good is first on the list, but looks are a second and not missing the single coil is a big thing for me as I like that single coil option and they're cheap as borscht. Maybe cheaper depending on the borscht, I don't know, but Im sold. Borscht. The last one was for giggles. Cheers and good work man!

What's better for Hard Rock and Metal , a Alinco 5 or Ceramic humbucker?

These guitars are quite bad. If they really are swamp ash, why are they so heavy? If the pickups are alnico, why do they have so little gain? I bought one and I˝m really disappointed with it.

Searched around for a gfs comparison vid that was informative and not a talent show……found it!!! Great sound and awesome approach showing how these p/u’s stack up.
