In this video, I share my experience of driving Tata Curvv EV (Accomplished + A) for over 2 months and 6500km. And demo how to get the most range from an EV and how to bring down the average energy consumption, AEC.

Hey I'm an owner of a curvv 55kw and yeah agree with you on the avg consumption being 145 - 150 watt hr, which conservatively translates to about 360 km range. I recently drove to Kukke (Kumara Parvatha), where I had to avail RSA due to charging issue of the car. Happy to discuss if you'd like

. curvv ev is a practical vehicle for indian conditions, will age gracefully . BE6e is too overdone, will look the oddman, . Plus for BE6e, is 4kw bigger battery, faster charging, Summon and park . curvv will update carging speed, for summom and park 360⁰ camera and sensors already present, tech is with tata so mattet of time
Bhai curvv EV to competition me hi nahi hai, be 6e ne to Kia EV 6 ki aisi taisi kar daali hai. Sorry for curvv ev buyers.
Mahindra steal the show
Curvv ev @17.49 lacs will be only 45 kwh..whereas be 6e 59 kwh @18.90 lacs..so compare pricing with curvv ev 55kwh.. Its 30k cheaper than curvv ev 55kwh first model..although the pricing difference is bcoz mahindra ev pricing doesnt include fast ac charger or its installation cost.
It's true that the BE has a larger battery, but Curvv's 55kwh models are more feature rich than the first variant of BE 6e.
@CarTechTravel Do a comparision of curvv ev 55kwh first model and be 6e pack 1.not major things apart from 1 or 2 features separate them both

Tesla has a stong body, gunshot se glass toota tha, not a realistic thing to expect from a street car.

A lot of data is incorrect for be6e. Correct it

lot of people dont like boxy design , airbags are only 6 in mahindra be 6e
Yeah, the top spec of BE 6e has 7 airbags according to the online sources
After be 6e launch, it's absolutely senseless to buy curvv ev anymore. Absolutely no.
It'll be a few months before the first BE 6E will be delivered and the wait times are also unknown. People who need a new car now will have to choose other options if they can't wait.
Be 6e is a beast... The torque, wanted all wheel drive but RWD in itself is world conquer, could be my beast ! Nothing less than that will do for me now.
Be 6e boot space is 445L

Tata is really scrap...my tata punch ev just 9 month old .. Its battery degrades 13 % in just 12000 km driven. 1% drop every 1 KM below 10%.. Really Scrap..
There could be issues specific to few vehicles, so far my experience with Curvv EV has been great and degradation is about 0.1% per 2000KM
@CarTechTravel 2000 km is nothing my friend..wait for 30000 to 40000 km..you will regularly start visiting service centre..😅

my car also got this error the day it was delivered to me ,thankfully I was in the showroom installing accessories to my car and they jumped the auxiliary battery with another car and it worked fine after that so I recommend you do that if the errors pops up again
That's great to hear that jumping the battery worked for you! I hope you don't have to do it again.
We did a different route, Pune, Solapur, Vijaynagar, hosapete, chitadurga Bangalore, the route was much better, and the charger density of lower, but was much more effective…
Yeah, that route is more scenic, but there's only 1 fast charger in a JioBP petrol pump between Solapur and Chitradurga (420km). And if that doesn't work for any reason, so other fast charging options.
Why did you get such a low range of around 300 km?
I drove in sports mode with regen off, AC set to 22-23 and constant high speed.
@CarTechTravel High speed means around 110kph?
And people must understand that regen is not for highways.
Yes, but regen with adoptive cruise control (ADAS feature) on highway works well, it doesn't use mechanical breaks, instead regen for slowing down.
@CarTechTravel ya true. And how is your experience with the car? As dark edition is going to launch next month we are planning to take it. I even can wait for Mahindra 6E but the base model of that car would be 25L and topend will be atleast 30L WHICH is totally out of my budget. Can I go with curvv ev?
Curvv is a great option, I'll loving the overall experience. Mahindra would also have BE 05 (coupe suv) which should be in the same price range as Curvv EV

That's good to hear! But for how long have you had the car? Nexon ev owners are also getting it and I know about 50 other Curvv EV owners who have already faced it. And I hear some MG Windsor owners are also facing the same.
In dc or ac ; as a nexon max user. And part of ev groups from 3 years myself. Battery issues still happening even if you follow the recommended by tata. Even slow charging 100 percent each time. And in dc charging after every 3 dc charge, try ti charge it vy slow charge next to fullest 100 percent next time. Even in dc of you can and no one in queie, its recommend to charge to 100 percent every time for cell calibration
Thanks for sharing your experience with battery issues and your tips! Have you faced issues with auxilary battery or the main EV battery? I am hoping to see some changes in Curvv.EV given it uses prismatic cells.
@CarTechTravel yes aux battery getting drain out is common ( even for ice from tata). Many in groups say it's the gps tracker taking toll on aux battery, ( some even disconnect the cord after one year free zconnect app . ) Well for aux battery tata uses 18 month warranty models battery. So if you get any such drain issue after 1 year. Exchange it outside for a better battery with warranty of 3 plus years than taking it from showroom.. For me Main battery sudden drain from under 16 percent is there.( still using it)

Prashant Ji, I have seen similar issue in my Friends Curvv. His auxiliary battery cable was loosely fitted from the showroom. After that he has driven the car for 2k kms without any issue
Thanks for sharing! So it seems the issue is due to the loose battery cables only. I am hoping it doesn't happen again since it is tightened now.
Since i have purchased my curvv ev i havent faced any such issues in it🫡

Avg speed
My overall average speed was 60kmph for the whole 350km trip.

Glad you found it useful! Bangalore to Pune is definitely a popular route, I'll add it to my list which has Bengaluru to Goa and Bengaluru to Mangaluru.
