Solid tips, cant wait to see what you can do with Tekken 8 Yoshi :D
Really solid list.

Hello, I'm new to Yoshimitsu. What is the input to do the jumping sword attack at :24 which is great for oki? I know you can do 2,1 from crouching and the 1 will launch them but how do I just do that move by itself?
this move is f, d, df+1
@@manjidojo6001 Thanks man!
Came to watch Yoshi setups, walked away with solid fundamentals instead
Pls more yoshi videos I main him and recently hit Genbu and these vids help so much!
Which topic would help you the most?
@@manjidojo6001 more information on usage for certain moves and also matchups (I am still learning many matchups)
Much love! Just found this video and it has rekindled my spark for tekken! I wanna play again now
Pro tip: Use keyboard for ez mode kbd
Meanwhileee tekken8 will be abt mashing buttons😒
still too early to tell
I pogged for that seppuku, well deserved
I’m just here for the music
Tao , this is one of the best videos that’s ever helped me improve . That and the improving in tekken video. I’m grateful for this and I felt so lost for awhile now. Thank you.
you are welcome my friend! thank you for the kind words
thank you sensei
Gold.
Great video 👌🏻
You have any advice for the instant screw combo route at 2:36? The kin f2 ender hits very inconsistently for me. I've tried different dash timings, delaying different hits at different points in the combo, tried it against different body sizes, tried mashing it out - I can't even tell why it doesn't consistently hit for me.
it seems to depend on the hit box of your opponent too. I usually go for the wall carry version. It has still decent damage and gives good oki
@manjidojo6001 Awesome. Seriously appreciate the reply, man, thank you
This vid is banger! Great job!!

nice Yoshi customization on the left player. Where did you get that inspiration from?
I have seen a similar customization at the yoshi discord, but with different colors. So i made one myself in white
I always have problems with the wall combo. I can never connect the 3-4 after the 1 jab. Any tips?
it has a specific timing. I focus myself on the hit animation of the jab. Once I see it connected, I press 3~4
A common yoshi setup is df1,4 on hit into cd1. A lot of good players try to step and they get clipped. Some players mash and get hit. Some players block the cd1 and try to punish, but the pushback on block makes it whiff and you can whiff punish with df2.
You are describing a behavior of opponents which are either lower level of play or unaware of the matchup. With a dash block every character in the game can launch you for that. A good setup is defined by perfect risk reward = reacting to your opponents mistakes. In this example you give the opponent the perfect setup to react to your mistakes.
You really opened my eyes and helped me improve with your informative videos, however I am quite confused on all tekken fundamentals since there are so many, do you think you could give me A list of the most important and ones that could help you improve drastically, like getting out of pressure and applying pressure and getting away from the wall? or possibly a video? Thank you a bunch
Thanks for the idea. I might do a video on that!
@@manjidojo6001 I hope you do since the way you explain things is amazing and easy to digest, and like everyone else, I really wanna unlock the secrets of the Tekken god players (like you!) and how they reached such a high rank and win so consistently!
Your videos are so good man🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. I probably watched all the videos about back dash canceling and yours should be the go to one for a concise and comprehensive overview of the kbd from now on.
Great video 🔥
Man this is sick. Subscribed! :D I think I've played against you a few times as well.
Thanks. I'm always in for some chilled casuals buddy!
@@manjidojo6001 nice can you make a guide on lars b3 into silent entry into 3+4 I don't know how to do that on a pade please it will be very helpful
i think thats the first video ive seen that compares diffrent backdash types and their advantages, nice. but now i gotta relearn 2k hours of musclememory from revearse backdash lol
I did the reverse wavedash for 7 years until I met Gyzmo 2 years ago, who inspired me to learn the correct way to backdash. It was hard to switch to the new input and I felt slow and sluggish at first, but it pays off today. Especially the cancel in crouch for ws 2,1 whiff punish is very strong and fun.
Thank you for your work!
Can you make a pad guide on lars
Tip combo for extra dmg on 4~1: 4~1 - uf,n,4 - d/f1 - d2,1 - cd2 - qcf1
Great video 🙌🏽
Is it better to just uf1 to cd1 after wallbreak? I do u3+4 to cd1 but female characters tend to not get hit by the cd1 if they dont move.. or am I not doing it right?
the uf+1 was just because I had a read due to previous matches. After wall break you do a quick sidestep to the left and do u+3+4 into cd1.

Appreciate it a lot dawg, but small correction: You said cd+1 for the screw when you meant cd+2 in almost every combo (except first and last one) Most people probably understand, but some might get confused

Yo i was playing ranked while watching your videos, and i tried applying your advice and it literally helped immediatly lol Thx
NIce! I wish you a great progress
Yoyo, yoshi main here. I have a combo I never see in any videos so I'm wondering if you've got any info about it. df2, cd1, kincho b2 1, cd2, d2 2 1. The post screw pickup is tight, but it lands you 62 damage and the possibility of a wall combo. I haven't tested on many characters yet, but it seems consistent albeit tricky.
I know the one you're talking about. It's really axis-dependent, so I don't use it. In this combo, b2,1 usually leaves the opponent too far away for cd2 to hit after
@@khabug appreciate the info! yea, it seems like anything with cd1 will whiff from a sidestep left, I've found this combo still works fine from sidestep right though. even really deep right, nearly behind.
Do you mind teaching me 1 on 1 about my flaws and stuff when I get back from my break from this game? I’m mighty ruler paul but Ik I don’t belong in these ranks as my fundamentals aren’t great, if you don’t mind at all of course
You can add me and we can play some casuals if you are from Europe or not far away
..... I... I... Understand now. Thank you sensei
I'm a Bryan Main and Jack 2nd. Yoshi has been my official 3rd for years and I'm just now starting to practice combos with him. Damn near a year later and this is still a good vid
