In Europe, we have history books depicting historical events - who did what, where, how and why it happened. Twenty years ago, I read several American published history books and they had all that too, plus extra information about the sexual orientation of the historical figures. I couldn't figure out why this was important in a historical context (and it still isn't), but now I understand what I was observing was the decadent process of your society, as far as sexuality is concerned. The same thing happens with racism. The best way to eradicate it is not talk about it, instead it is a hot topic, making people of different shades fight each other. Someone wants the Americans - and now the Europeans - to be disorganized and fighting amongst each other. No unity, no power, just powerless individuals, who are easier to exploit.

All of this is just distraction. But to be fair, way back when I was a kid, brownies, girl scouts, cub scouts, boy scouts were a cool thing and very common. And my oldest brother’s best friend who I literally grew up with was a honest to God Eagle Scout. That was the guy you always wanted around. He could start a fire, make shelter, get water, whatever …it didn’t always used to be a bad thing. The other side is just trying to make their opinion mainstream and de-sensitize the population. Actually boringly predictable.

We are getting some really strange weather here. Winter wasn’t too bad but so far spring has only been in little spurts. Lots of volcanic ash very high in the atmosphere with lots of water vapor from the tonga eruption. The ring of fire is very active. Planet alignment stressing the magnetic and gravitational fields. And don’t forget the idiot cloud seeding, they admit that they are doing it, and don’t even get me started on chemtrails. And yet everyone you talk to here in Utah say “we need the water”… You moved here to get away from the hustle/bustle of vegas, I moved here to get away from chiraq. I think they throw everything that doesn't look good (unsellable) in the grinder, but if the meat is fresh, that may actually be a good thing - different animal parts make it more nutritionally diverse. That said, there's often a lot of connective tissue, making the meat dry and difficult to chew. I'd say that your way is much better!

My mom experimented with making her own ground beef. She used short rib meat and chuck steak and they were delicious. She liked to cook them medium rare and it’s not safe to do that with store bought ground beef. My sister makes elk ground meat and different types of sausage and meat sticks. Elk tastes better than venison. She’s also gone on hog hunts and that stuff makes the best meatloaf I’ve ever had.😋

Was your camera man drunk? I seem to recall grandma almost freezing the meat before she would grind it. Not solid as a rock Frozen but stiff. Ha stiff meat. Happy Easter.
