Yea I found out with the right strategies, Greek is pretty strong in Mythic Strike

@TheGreatTusks lots of fun stuff that works for Greek because people are so unused to playing against it. Against hypaspist medusa I reckon you'd have to switch to jarl ballista to stand a good chance. Granted you had so much of an economic lead you could have switched to mass bellorophon and still won xD Very well played! *EDIT The thought just occurred to me, it would have been hilarious if after the inferno you mixed the medusa with Perseus. But I guess after Titan it doesn't matter too much ;D

I totally agree with you! Though the damage increase when a berserkers dies, is very strong. Especially when you have so many berserkers running around. Nevertheless if the Greek had lions, I would have lost in the end.

Yea, well one game the titan was not enough. That was a shock for me.. But usually the titans push pretty hard and win you the game. My game approach to get the mega unit is to wait, with mythic age units, so far I lost or won before it happend. Haha

I like the addition of the super units, give something extra to go for :)

@TheGreatTusks The heka gigantes (Can't remember new name) are really good for that. Early game if enemies are mostly soldiers the minotaur can be good for that too.

Glad you enjoyed! The berserker strategy still is one of the strongest. Especially if you can trick your opponent. "act weak when you are strong, act strong when your are weak".

Also another way to play is to go berserker from the start. Maybe some ranged myth units as support. Only it's easier to counter for your opponent. I also got a Norse giant game in the making.

@TheGreatTusks brilliant sneaky strats. Really exploits the gold payoff you get when you lose base HP ^_^

I appropriate your kind words. I try to keep things interest and use different strategies! This game felt good, was in control and really thought we would get a titan.. Guess we had to settle with the next best thing, haha.

The long range units, son of osiris and axe men make the Egyptians very strong. But it takes the Egyptians a long time to get there. What you want to try is too push them back as much as possible. So get units on the field. And counter as much as possible. Do be afraid to sell your units for counter units if that means you stay on there side of the field. The extra gold in one will make up for it. More important they don't get that extra gold income :)

@TheGreatTusks I fully agree. I honestly love mythic strike so much because you can just sit back, relax and get away with the kind of crazy builds that would just get you killed in regular AoM xD I remember a game dev once said players have the tendency to optimise the fun out of a game, which is why I think it's always important to have fun first and be effective second. Maybe try a mass behemoth or mass war elephant build would be fun to honour the Great Tusks? :D

Yea kinda will be messy to fix without removing AQ. Switching tabs effectively swaps out what can be built. None of the workarounds I can think of atm are satisfactory at this time.

I need to be less lazy, haha. Use less AQ could also make things more interesting.

That sounds epic! Love the mix of cavalry and Draugr-gotta keep those archers on their toes! How'd the game go? I also managed to get a game with a titan. If I got time to put the video together I'll upload in the comming days :)

@TheGreatTusks Game started badly as had heroes to counter the Prometheans but they were being mowed down by the archers. I got early Draugr but didn't really help. I moved onto pure cavalry to deal with the archers as they were causing the most issues. In that time we managed to come back and attack the passage barely surviving the lightning and just with the last couple of units managed to waste their Inferno before we were pushed back. Then it was case of surviving their pushback with our inferno - I thought it wasn't going to be enough as they had a few tanky units survive it but with the extra gold was able to then push back for the win.

A titan? Now that’s a tall order! But hey, I’m always up for a challenge! Maybe I need to focus more on my economy first! :)

Just had a titan in my last game. Does require reasonable eco. Also recommended to hold off on getting too many techs as you cannot refund them. But if you can hold out and get one it is game changing providing they have not got mass heroes or such. Even crazier you can get yourself for double the cost the super unit. :)

Ohh I definitely going to try and get a titan now. I like to upgrade everything though, so I need to make sure I can restrain myself from buying everything, haha

My opponent was almost there. It's funny how strong the berserkers can get with all upgrades. I find the Egyptian axe men a useful counter. Also with all their upgrades pretty strong I would say. Matching the numbers on the field works the best in my experience :)

Thankyou! If your opponent doesn't have access to early heroes, I find it very strong. You can easiliy adopt what your opponent does.
